They are rude and they made my food wrong and had the audacity to be upset that I wanted the correct food.

Burgatory is a local burger chain with several locations in the Pittsburgh area. The Homestead…read morelocation is perfectly situated in a beautiful shopping area with plenty of shops, eateries, and across from a gigantic AMC movie theater. With the variety of stores and plenty of free parking, it's become one of my favorite areas to go out when visiting Pittsburgh. Burgatory has a full bar and some daily specials, which can add some value depending on which day of the week you visit. We started off with the truffled gorgonzola fries (3.25/5). While the fries were decent, the gorgonzola cheese was a bit too strong for our tastes, so would likely ask for them without the gorgonzola next time. I got their smashburger (3.75/5), which was filling and of decent quality, but the patties themselves weren't the most flavorful. The house chips (2.5/5) that came with the meals were quite underwhelming, and it stinks that they don't have an option to sub them out for regular fries or onion rings. There's definitely a missed opportunity to not even offer an alternative option for a small upcharge, as we were told no substitutions were allowed. Service (4.5/5) was attentive and friendly throughout the meal, and Shane checked in on us several times to ask if we needed anything else. I would rate the food an overall 3.5/5, and since Yelp doesn't allow 1/2 stars, don't mind rounding up in support of a small local chain and thanks to the great service. I would return to try out some of their other menu items and would recommend Burgatory to others looking to try out a local option for burgers in the Pittsburgh area. Hopefully, they will recognize the missed opportunity to allow customers to sub out their house chips for alternative sides in the future.

Our waitress was very friendly and accommodating, especially when we wanted the impossible burger, even though it wasn't on the menu (PS it's coming back on the menu next month). The impossible burger wasn't bad, but it felt a little lack luster. The chips that came with the burger were very good though. But it took such a long time for our burgers to arrive. Not sure if I'd come back, but maybe I'd try the other veggie burger next time. Not a bad place for the waterfront.

After figuring out the website and placing my order, I am out of the delivery area, but if I have an address nearer they will deliver it to my car. I gave them an address that was across the street, and 45 minutes after it still hasn't arrived. At 7:21, the delivery driver called to confirm the address and I cancelled the order. Flavortown is a dud. When I called Flavortown, I got a recording and a promise of a call back. Too late. I will spend my money elsewhere.

Chose to go all out and ordered a bit of everything, starting with the Jalapeno Pig Poppers and Bourbon Brown Sugar Wings. Followed that up with ordering the Real Cheezy Burger for myself and the Crazy Cuban Sandwich for my partner. We also added the Flavortown fries and concluded with ordering each one of the desserts. At checkout is where I found that there was a $4.99 delivery fee, then upon order completion was advised that it would be delivered by Postmates. As mentioned, my order was for 6:30PM, I received a text from Postmates at 4PM that my Delivery is on the way but that was not even close. My order did not arrive anywhere near 6:30PM. I had to call to verify if it was even coming at 7PM and was told that it should be delivered by 7:30, which it was closer to 8PM when it finally arrived. As expected with such a time gap between my scheduled delivery time and actual delivery time, my food arrived cold. I asked for no LTOP on the burger and it was included on top of my bun being soggy and burnt. The 4.99 fries were completely cold. The wings had a good flavor but would have been better warm. The Jalapeno Pig Poppers were good but again, would have been even better if they were not cold. The Cuban was nothing special but did come with a box full of matchstick fried potatoes, if those are your thing. The cheesecake was not that great but the Chocolate Whiskey Cake was better and very fresh. This was an expensive dinner, with food cost, delivery fee, tax, and tip, which I tipped via the app at 21% and $10 to the driver, cost total of $96. With the experience, I would not choose to order again. Although the concept is great, the outcome of the delivery and the food made it mediocre at best. If you are looking to try this on Friday or Saturday, proceed with caution as those wait times are going to be long.

It's a nice location on the main drag with a small parking lot. They specialize in wings, but have sandwiches as well. Even so, I've only had the wings at any of the locations I've been to before. We tried 13 Frankie Vallie bone-in wings and 13 Mister CS bone-in wings today. If you tend to only get wings at bars when they are on special, then you'll find their wings on the pricier side. The Frankie Vallie wings were coated with sauce like a black-lighted motel room and very tasty. The Mister CS were good, but were a little too dry and towards the end of the bakers dozen they became almost overwhelming salty. I'm hoping I don't develop a kidney stone! Regardless, I liked the Cajun spice called Black Magic and I look forward to trying it paired with a bbq sauce. Now that they are so close, it will be much easier to explore the extensive list of wing flavors.

Then I called the store because I was just there maybe 30 minutes ago and they told me that they can offer me more wings or store credits. Why would I want more of those wings? How does that even work? First and last time.

Fries are the kind that have some sort of breading and are nice and crispy. Today I got the BLT and I would definitely get it again! The side salad was kind of mediocre (I was trying to make a healthier choice and avoid the fries). Got a beer (not pictured). Usually the service is very good, but I'm going to be honest, it was pretty sad today. My girlfriend and I agreed it seemed like the bartender both hated his job, and was not good at it. We will still be back. Cool little Southside place with pinball machines and a relaxed bar atmosphere.

The food is good, as long as you go in with the right expectations. This isn't fine dining, but it's a nice take on vegetarian-accessible pub food, slightly elevated. The vegan tofu wrap was nicely done with crispy fried tofu, but it was heavily dependent on the availability of various sauces for flavor. The "disc brake bean cakes" were somewhat unique, but still good when fully assembled with all the relevant toppings. They would probably be better described as black bean crepes with Tex-Mex toppings. I highly recommend ordering several different sauces to go with your meal (buffalo, barbecue, diablo, etc.). We ordered takeout this time, and the overall ordering experience was good. There is an online ordering page, but the items on that page aren't completely aligned with menus on the web site. We ended up calling to place an order, which was still very easy. All the food was well packaged and ready to go exactly when they said it would be. This is a great South Side destination, especially when you're looking for something comfortable and relatively low key but still fun.
