I have been here before. This place has gone from great to a "holy mess". Ordered the Hamburger and Eggs plate. A disaster. Scrambled eggs should always be whisked to a creamy texture... Not there. I hated the eggs. The hamburger patty was the cheapest piece of crap. The hash browns were burnt. The biscuit was the one and only good thing about this fiasco. I ran out of a drink and took forever to get my waitresses attention to get a refill I ended up just getting it to go. Also the restroom was very dirty. It's a 24 hour diner! You'll find people from all walks of life here in every shape imaginable. If you go I suggest you go late at night or early in the morning (When there are usually less people) I usually order to go because I'm eating alone but it's a good place to go for late night studying when you're trying to keep yourself out of bed. I usually get either the hungry mans breakfast, the western omelet, the rafordy (hashbrowns with ham roast beef and eggs I recommend sunny side), the gumbo, or the 6oz sirloin dinner which comes with a plain jane (baked potato) and a salad! It's really all good and it's cheap. Great for college kids on a limited budget. If you order to go, make sure you are timely about your pick up because if you aren't, they will add your phone number to a list of numbers they don't take orders from. read more

I was a little disappointed the grits I had were cold, like they were reheated, lumpy, but coffee was good and people really nice. Well coming from the land of diners, this one made my shit list. After working a 12 hour(graveyard) hour shift I decided why not give these guys a shot. I walk in and it was crowded, but people keep taking their coffee outside from the bar leaving vacant question marks on whether or not the seat was occupied or not. That's not good for business and it's purely unprofessional, especially since none of the staff asked if I could sit at the bar, they all just watched as if I was a poster on the wall. This is THE local spot for 24/7 food service and has been open for decades. Everyone who lives in or around LC knows where and what KD's is. They also have a go to dish they order without looking at the menu. If it's past midnight and before noon, they will most likely have a line. My favorite item has the be the Hungry Man's Breakfast (aka the Fat Kid). For a few bucks, you can get an entire large breakfast with pancakes and some awesome service.
