We went to a mug painting night and had a great time. The artist was helpful and approachable. Great idea for parties.

I thought they might…read moreteach him some skills or different drawing techniques but it really was just him sitting in a classroom drawing next to other children. This may be helpful if your child doesn't have time to draw but for any blossoming artist who spends hours of their own time sitting and drawing there isn't any value to this time at Kat's verses being at home. I'm not sure the "teacher" has any sort of special training; actually i don't think I ever even saw the teacher or had any feedback from him/her(?) in the 4 months we attended. During this time I saw no change in skill or ability from this class. He didn't particularly enjoy it either. It seemed that the front desk assistant frequently taught the class which started late and ended early regularly. My son benefited from the Young Rembrandt's program at his school more than this program and YR, for the most part, just taught him how to shade. So the bar wasn't set extremely high. This school also requires a registration fee ($60) to even try any of the classes and also requires a credit card on file which they cannot update except in person. There isn't any online account management.. They don't allow for over the phone changes and their withdrawal policy is also very strict so we ended up paying for a month we didn't want. They also sent my credit card information entire number, expiration date, ccv code, address and full name (!) in clear text VIA EMAIL unencrypted which is very very horrendous security policy for a company who requires this information be provided. They are not obviously not PCI compliant so I'd be wary of providing them this information. They aren't particularly nice or friendly either. We won't be back.

It's not a big school which we like and fits our needs for both preschool and creative movement class. The staff is great and the community is pretty good. Clean and neat environment and they even have their own stage/theater for programs. If you live in the Goodyear area you should stop by with your child and ask about a free day trial.

Multiple artists are set up at a host artist's home studio, and the public gets to browse and shop. It was fun to see some art that we recognized from other shows or restaurants. Each artist had a card, qr code, or newsletter sign up sheet. Just driving through the desert from studio to studio was breathtaking. We saw such a variety of interesting art in beautiful homes and studios. I can't wait to go again next year and will plan more days around it so that we can view so much more. Plan your route and stop by downtown Cave Creek or Carefree for lunch. We did take our kids, after a very firm discussion on being respectful and not touching (art or each other). They did pretty good and found it interesting. Each artist had a bowl of candy or mints out, so that added extra motivation. The artists were wonderful towards the kids.

However upon closer inspection, there was a note on the door. It said sorry, we are closed today. The usual hours advertised state the business is open on Saturdays. I guess an emergency popped up. Anyways I had an art donation to make. I know of another office close by and will drop things off there provided they want them. Usually they would get 5 stars. Shared parking lot.
