I didn't realize that my right rear tire was flat on my Subaru until I pulled into the J Hara parking lot to pick up my packages at the Post Office - I panicked but then realized there was a car service station literally around the corner in the same parking lot - I walked over and asked if they fixed flat tires - the service guy said yes, and they could help me in 20 minutes or so I got my packages and drove my car over to Keaau Service and within 15 minutes, they had my car on the rack, tire off and were working on it - 10 minutes later, the tire was fixed and back on the car - they noticed the other tires were low also, and promptly filled them all - doing this took care of the low tire light that had been on for weeks on the dash in the car - all of this and they only charged $24 - within less than 45 minutes I was back on the road and headed home Awesome service, awesome customer care, will definitely use again - thank you guys soooooo much! read more

Honest and reliable service. The job will get done and will get done right, if it even needs to be done. I took my car to Midas to check my brakes since they were squeaking. Midas promptly told me I had to change all four brake pads and rotors, nearly $1000 job. I almost pulled the trigger but instead called them for a second opinion. Brought my car in, brake pads were still in the green; they explained that it squeaks simply because the rotors are a little smooth, but it's nothing to worry about, still has a lot of life. So instead of a brake job, they just changed my oil and topped off fluids in my car. Now I take my car here for everything. They also just changed all four of my tires, good to go! Trust these guys, they will clearly explain any problems you have with your vehicle and will not try to up sale you. Local, reliable, and honest. read more

I've been going to Keaau service station for a long long time for my basic car needs. When I needed a tire change, Patrick was able to accommodate. While most other shops quoted me a ridiculous amount to change my tires, Patrick and his crew quoted me a reasonable price and didn't take advantage of what I needed done. The people at Keaau service station are wonderful, reliable and honest. I'm just sad that his team is so far away from where I live but I would drive across the mountain to get my car needs done. read more

We've had water delivered, and the prices are not heavy on your wallet, the truck driver was super nice. Do not take your vehicle here! I drove my fully operable vehicle into the station for a tune-up and received a phone call that afternoon that the engine was seized and the vehicle was no longer operable. The did not take any responsibility for damaging the engine, and they didn't even offer to tow the broken car home for me. This is not a reputable business. read more

TALK ABOUT RELIABLE! On the rare occasion that I need to have a job done, I can always rely on them. I originally heard about their services through my uncle who uses them to put up the walls of his houses and I am so glad that he had referred me to them. Their staff is always friendly and on time when they come and deliver water out to our home off the rough terrain out in Eden Rock. I recommend them to all of my neighbors and anyone who needs water. When my car was down, I called them too and I was so glad that I did. After being down for nearly a week, I was able to get my car to the station and they were able to get my car working in less than a week! Keaau Service Station has been helping us repair our vehicles since we moved to the Big Island in 2014. They are reliable, honest, and friendly. They are upfront when something requires the work of a body shop or the dealership. They redid our bill when an error happened that overcharged us, but that error was partly due to the fault of our insurance adjuster. They literally put our vehicle back together after thieves had ripped it apart trying to hot wire it. We have worked with Patrick and Ben numerous times over the last 3.5 years and can't say enough about their professionalism and excellent customer service. Took my overheating 187000 miles car to Keaau Service Station, and they replaced thermostat, thermostat housing ( I had brought both, new, as I was told by other folks they probably needed replacing), and radiator cap- having to take take a lot of parts off for access . There were definitely pinhole leaks they found and showed me , and now my car runs far better . Apparently there is also a leak under the radiator cap above a certain temperature and coolant leaks into my engine- not good- so there is still work to be done and Patrick advised me of 2 places that can do head gaskets and check for a crack in the block, etc. I left at the beginning of the work, yet they let me know the progress and told me when would be a good time to return. After showing me the holes in the parts replaced, Patrick informed me to get it looked at further, as that work is beyond what they do, and since they did not fully repair my car, he took off 1.5 hours labor !!!! Honest, reasonably priced, and amazing- I will always call this station first from now on. I almost hate to leave a great review- don't want them to get overwhelmed with work so I cannot get in easily next time ! read more

The 711 has the filthiest bathrooms I have seen in a store on this island! I do apartment maintenance and some of the buildings are 50 years old and the porcelain sinks look 100x better than the one here. In fact I worked at this location before the 711 and the bathroom was spotless! They have the nerve to have a sign that says turn off the light when everything is so filthy you would rather not even touch the sink to wash your hands! read more

Today i was driving in kurtistown and the driver of a water truck merged into my lane not even paying attention because he was on his phone! there are only a couple drivers of those trucks 2 of which i know are bald this one had longer hair and tattoos on his arm i know this because he flipped me off as i was honking my horn and hitting my breaks if i didnt i would have been hit and or forced off the damn road! How the hell do these people keep thier CDLs?? well lets see if the owner or manager of this business cares about these reviews or thier customers at all! if i still see this man driving i will no longer spend 100s of dollars a month on gas at that station ill go the other way and give my business to shell! read more

Do not take your car here!! When I brought my car to Keaau Service Station the front office staff said they would call with an estimate of the amount of repairs before they do any work. This wasn't true, they did all the work before calling and held my car hostage until I paid for the parts & labor I didn't even authorize. When I complained that no estimate was provided the mechanic AL called and told me to "never come back here again" then hung up on me! When I informed the front office staff they called the owner, but nothing was done to satisfy us -- the customer. Not even an apology from AL. The owner stands by and supports this rude and unprofessional behavior by his employee. You should also avoid the 7-11 and gas station here, it's the same owner for all 3 businesses. read more
