The baba ganoush carries real smoky depth. The chicken kebabs are juicy and seasoned all the way through. The shawarma is warm, aromatic, and layered with spice. The falafel is crisp outside, vibrant and herbaceous inside. My personal favorite is the Iraqi Chicken Sandwich. It is absolutely phenomenal. Don't be surprised if there's a line, because that's the one thing they power through first. I'm used to seeing just the proprietor, but often I'll meet his staff who I find friendly, skilled, and diligent to their stations. I would love to say more but the proprietor is so humble that I don't know his name yet, just that Pita Pockets consistently cooks good food. Apparently, their Turbo pocket is original, and could be a good journalism scoop. Otherwise, they'd need food carts outside to keep up with much more traffic. Maybe someday there's a Turbo Trust passing down the restaurant? :)
