Run! Do not use if you care about your belongings. (This is a review AFTER recovering our items) We used Keep it Moving to move from Bridgeville Delaware to a storage unit in White Marsh MD. That move was horrible. Even though I opted to have Kenneth come out to see our home (and belongings) and give us a price "guarentee", he underestimated the size truck we needed and I was forced to rent a 15' U-haul. His response when we called to say everything wouldn't fit?? That we lied about how much we were moving...we said we were selling items. When I insisted that was not our conversation, his response then: " If you think I lied let me know now and I'll pull my men." Seriously. Settlement was the next day and he knew I had no options. His crew knew space would be tight so they stacked our items without thought of what was being stacked on what. When we go to the storage unit boxes were crushed, even plastic totes. Because we arrived at the storage unit so late in the evening (after the unit was closed because I had to run around town and find a rental truck)) I was forced to stand at the front door to keep the automatic doors open. I was not able to see how badly they were moving items into the unit. That move was bad enough but I'll move forward to when I removed my items. So many items broken, scratched, busted, reuined. The most expensive item was a top of the line Beautyrest mattress. Only 7 years old and cost over $1500. It was stored on it's side. The "stuffing" fell and the mattress was absolutly ruined. There was a park bench given to my husband 15 years ago. Crushed from the weight of items stacked on it. Many pieces of furniture scratched. Kenneth response: we should know you can't store a matress for so long....we can't prove the damage was caused by his guys... The only item he was willing to take responsibity for was the bench. He offered me .06 cents per pound. It was a 100lb bench so he offered $6.00! No customer service. No accountability. No professionalism. Some pictures of the damage attached. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I requested a large 3 bedroom apartment move. 3 movers showed up with only a 16ft box truck. I knew from the start all of my belongings were not going to fit and the day was only going to get worse. They started at 330pm and after 2 trips back and forth from my old place to my new place and 7 hours later, there is still a lot of things at my old place that could not be moved due to my new complex not allowing moving after 10pm. They broke my daughter's bed and her nightstand. This is a REAL wood bedroom set that cost me clost to 10 grand. My daughter had to spend our 1st night in our new place on the couch. They also chipped my work desk and my bedroom nightstand. After contacting the owner, I have received no phone call back, no email back, and no response from their supposed insurance company either. This was the worse moving experience of my life, and I would never recommend this business TO ANYONE due to its unprofessionalism, recklessness, disorganization, and just total lack of concern for the damage that was done to my belongings!! read more

They were the only company who could move me in late summer, but they overbooked, leading to use of unprofessional, inexperienced workers. The packing service was the worst with my lamp being packed with lightbulb still attached, and not padded. The boxes were really only good for one move and some did crush underweight when loaded. The initial quote for packing was triple the cost that I expected and the additional fees for packing supplies were expensive. The Moving team got me out of my place and I was appreciative but I had to repack and educate the "young'uns" that were working there for the summer and continue to pack up my stuff because they had another job waiting and couldn't stay any longer. I overpaid for packing and would not recommend this company for that. The movers came on a separate day and they were professional and knew their stuff. If you hire company, pack yourself and save yourself a headache. read more

RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!! Due to my profession i have move every 18-24 months for the last 15 years. I would need a dissertation to highlight everything that went wrong with this move. Long story short they arrived two hours late, no equipment (sent them to purchase equipment, so we started 3 hrs late) and with three men he found god knows where. My family moved the boxes and small items outside to be loaded. . It took their 3 men 10 hours to move 3 beds, 3 tvs, 1 living room, 1 dinning room and a freezer. I would say this is the worst moving company ever! But you can't even call them a company. It's a fraud. They know once you realize you have been had it's too late. This update is solely on customer service, as I cannot provide a review on the actual moving service because they never showed up. Based on my initial review, my experience was pretty miserable. I felt awful knowing my mother and father had to lift large items for a living room/bedroom. However, a few days later I was contacted by the owner Kenneth and I was given the full story. Apparently Kenneth had been out due to surgery and who ever was taking over in his place did a crumby job. Kenneth was very forthcoming and willing to due whatever he could to remedy the situation. Since my entire apartment was already moved, he went ahead and reimbursed me for the cost of my moving truck and I was not charged for the no-show. It's a shame, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't scarred by this experience because I believe this is a good moving company. But on a good note overall I am left with the impression that Kenneth takes his services/company very seriously and this just happened to be a mishap caused by someone else. read more

These guys unpacked my truck when I moved last year and they did a phenomenal job. First of all, they were extremely courteous. Second, they made sure to document all of the items they removed from the truck, and called my attention to a box that had come open (the fault of my truck loaders in North Carolina). Terrific services and fast! On a recent Saturday, I needed to get moved into an apartment in Baltimore. I had a U-Haul and car full of furniture. I met a team from Keep It-Moving at the apartment right on time. Within two hours they had moved everything from the truck and car into the apartment. The biggest challenge was a 7' long sofa. I was concerned it would not fit. The team tried to get the sofa in one of the elevators, but it would not fit. They then carried the sofa up 8 flights of stairs, and they successfully moved it into the apartment. Amazing, outstanding work! Thank you. read more

I was a recent widow and sold my home in Wilmington, moving to be closer to my children. I hired this local mover because of all the reviews. That was a huge mistake. The 3 men who came to pack (two pods) seemed okay, but one was higher than a kite. FF 2 months, and 3 came to unpack my pods at new address. The pods were a mess! Every piece of furniture that I had was gouged, scraped, dented or marked in some way. I don't have enough room to list all the damage. Mover calls boss. It was obvious that not much had been wrapped even though I had provided blankets. I was very upset, even crying, it was that bad. Mover tells me his boss has insurance, takes pictures and sends them to Kenneth. After they left, house was okay but when I went to the garage, they had just thrown stuff on top of stuff. It was another mess. Finally, a guy comes by to fix my furniture. He calls boss guy again to stop by to see the carnage. Surprise! He never came. I would never recommend this company, EVER! 100% professional and efficient customer service and moving, and done at the last minute too! I booked services 2 days ahead of time (1 other mover never confirmed the appointment, another never returned my call), got a confirmation online within the hour, received a text the morning of the move to confirm again, and a phone call from the guys in the truck 15 minutes before they arrived. The two young men who did the heavy lifting were great; friendly, efficient, and careful with all my Mom's furniture and belongings. Things couldn't have gone any better. Highly recommend. Kenneth, the owner, and his movers were incredible. They made it easy to set up the date and time I needed, and the slightly complicated moving situation I had. They did not start the clock until they were in front of my storage unit with the door open, and they promptly stopped the clock when they were done unloading at my new home. Our movers just left-all I can say is WOW!!! These guys hustled the entire time they were here. They were respectful, courteous and were careful with my things. They worked together as a team to handle our heavy items. From my first phone contact with Kenneth to the moment the guys left this entire operation was over-the-top outstanding. Kenneth contacted me the day before to confirm. I'd even asked him if they were available to stay more than 2 hours; he said they'd stay as long as I needed.
