How foolish I was to think I would be the lucky one to get reputable movers, movers that care about my boxes, my furniture my personal things. Everyone's reviews below are TRUE and accurate. Just look at the pictures below where boxes are pile on each other carelessly, crushed, NOT caring if a boxed was marked Fragile, or this side Up. They do NOT have reliable handlers. They are hourly people paid minimum wage who will NOT give a shit about your things. I moved from Philadelphia to Florida, and they transfer everything to another truck in the Atlanta HQ. This is where and probably how it happened. Late at night, with a broken Wall Unit leg, Antique Orient Table legs broken. I have move many times, corporate movers, local movers and never has my furniture been chipped, scratched or broken. The company should file for bankruptcy because NO ONE should use them. In fact, the still have NOT Delivered a Shelf they found a week later, probably will NOT see it again! They have it and acknowledge missing transferring it. The red flag were many, but I was accepting blind to them. 1) Poor Reviews (Accurate) 2) Could NOT get Third Party Movers Insurance (i.e MovingInsurance.com) because of DOT complaints 3) Worried about receiving my moving quickly (for another $300 guaranteed) Please find another company, save yourself read more

Keep It Moving - Movers Near Me - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Let me start by saying, G called me several times when I started this process. My first place fell through early March so I cancelled the reservation. I found another place and it just so happened G called me. I took that as a sign and went with Keep it Moving. I paid the 30% on March 18th. From March 18 until March 31, I received text messages and emails reminding me of my move date and time, April 1 between 8-9am; long distance move. At 7:44am on moving day, April 1, I received a called from John stating they were a running late. No big. Five minutes later, I got a call from G, who stated the time was pushed back to 10-11. I said okay but again, I know it's a long distance drive and I still needed to get there myself. 10:27am, I called G back and ask for an ETA. He said he would call me at 11am. He didn't call so I called him back at 11:30am. He said he they wouldn't arrive until 1-2pm. This is totally unacceptable. I was given excuses about the other client not giving proper inventory and that caused a delay. There should not have been another client!! It was a long distance move. I paid for a straight route on a solo truck, which was $300 more but that's what I wanted. G offered to get my stuff, hold it, then have it transferred to the long distance truck. Again, unacceptable. My things should be picked up and immediately hit the road, not sit somewhere and wait for some transfer of items to another vehicle. I did several inventory checks (over estimated) and to aide in the move, everything has been moved to the first floor living room (see pictures). I also mention this because I know the drive is long and I also have to do the drive myself. Now I sit and wait, in a home without any utilities including electricity or heat on this very cold April 1st. Angel and William arrived at 1:35 as stated by William. Angel and William had the truck loaded by 2:00pm. As I stated to G, we are already and packed to go (please see photos of my items). There is no reason for this to have been delayed except a job was scheduled the same day as ours. That is not on the movers but on the dispatcher. Also, the tablet was not working properly and once William got it working, my job was not listed, but someone else's was, which confirmed my suspicious of overbooking. I have been sitting around for 5 and one half hours for a 25 minute loading job. It is now 10:40pm and William and angel have arrived. This is not fair to me nor to them. They had a nine hour drive and now they have to move furniture in, dead of the night on a Monday, a work day. Way to make an impression on my new neighbors. Lastly, the paperwork. The system is not user friendly for the workers or the customer. The mobile hotspot wouldn't connect, the pages wouldn't load, the job kept disappearing. Every time I had to sign my name, it wouldn't save the signature and we had to do it again OR, it would totally fail by not responding to touch. We spent 25 minutes trying to get the signature to stick to close out the job. It didn't work and it is now 11:55pm, the guys had to leave, I mean come on! Again, William and Angel, excellent. Everything else, just a huge disappointment and let down. G was constantly apologizing and asking what can I do to make the situation better. At no point did he offer a discounted rate because at this point, what could he do? The movers can't fly, he can't snap his fingers and make them appear. The one guy was half drunk and threw up in my bathroom and that was the ONLY time my car was ever unlocked and my windshield wiper lever was broken off and taken!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. It is an absolute scam full of liars and thieves. They have caused mental and emotional harm and stole money from me. We had our move scheduled on Friday at 8 AM. At 10AM, we called about 10 times before they answered and said they are on their way. 2 hours later when no one showed up, we called another 10 times before someone answered so they could make more excuses. This continued for the whole day and finally at 4PM they called and said they were not coming that day. They rescheduled for 8AM the next morning. The next morning we waited and called while no one showed up. This pattern of seldom answering the phone and making excuses for no movers continued again throughout the day. Finally at 7PM (35 hours after the scheduled moving time), 2 movers and a truck showed up with no warning from the company. It turns out they did not even work for Keep it Moving. But they completed the move by 11PM. Based on this awful experience, constant lies, lack of answering the phone, movers showing up 35 hours late, and a missed day of work and pay, I negotiated $500 with the manager Kevin as a fair final price. When I went to pay, Kevin insisted the price was $750 and threatened me on the phone and said the movers were coming back in to put my stuff back on the truck. In order to wipe my hands clean of this experience, I just decided to pay and write this review to protect others from going through this mentally and emotionally harmful experience. You may want to run away from this company not walk!!! They don't show up on the day of the move, days later they show up with no apologies. If your things turn up at all they will be damaged or broken. There insurance does not pay the claims and your things mysteriously go missing. Oh by the way apparently they will only deliver to your garage and not your home due to covid...one of my favorites they do not honor their quotes it will probably be 25- 40% more and will hold your things hostage and charge you for storage if you don't pay up...just my experience with them. read more

Worst moving exeprience ever!. Let me start by saying that I did not hire these people directly. I hired Apt Moving which then turned out to just be a broker who stop talking yo me as soon as I payed the non-refundable $800+ deposit. These people broke all my glasses, lost a nightstand and a bench, and almost left with my $400 vacuum. They were about 7 days late and I was basically forced to pay another $500 just to get my stuff expedited (after was already late). Ive been trying to contact them since the move to get refunded for the stuff they lost...no answer. The phone now appears to be disconnected. I had a really great experience with this company! They covered my items to protect them and got rid of unwanted items for me. They also packed and unloaded the trunk very well! I would not recommend this company to someone I hated. They were late and then dragged out my job to an all-day move. I admit I had a lot of boxes, but I am over 50 with nerve damage and I moved all the boxes into the hallway and into the dining room that is within steps of the front door, in one hour and 30 minutes. Yet three men could not move me in and out within 4/5 hours. They lost and damaged some of my property and when I complained, my phone calls and emails were ignored. All the reviews are accurate and I can't thank Isaac, Anthony and Vaughn enough for all their hard work! 5 STARS for them for sure. They were very professional and extremely careful with everything and had quick solutions to the problems that come with 100+ year old properties! I would question the management decisions that were made on the day of our move, hence the 3 stars. The young men (all three personable, polite, and very communicative) arrived at our house slightly battered and visibly weary from their previous day's move. Our move required 3 men and I was quoted a rate of $108/hour and a time of 6 hours. One of the guys arrived with 16 fresh stitches in his arm, so he was restricted from any heavy lifting. I know he did more than he should have that day, but we really did need 3 guys. 6 hours turned into 9 on one of the hottest days of the summer. My husband ended up helping out toward the end, just to get it finished. I can't blame them for getting hurt on the job the day before, but I did feel that the move took longer than it needed to and they weren't able finished as promised (not everything was put back together). We did get a reduced rate, but we still paid for 9 hours instead of 6. I would have preferred a well rested, uninjured team, but still recommend them highly. read more

I bought a heavy piece of furniture on Craigslist and these guys met me at the pick-up location on schedule. Punctual. They moved the furniture from a 2nd floor to another 2nd floor, driving time to the drop-off was about 20 min, everything was done within the hour. Perfect for my lunch hour, and I returned to work immediately after. Great job guys! Pricing was reasonable. I thought "what's my time worth?", should I have taken time off from work and hassled 2 of my friends' time and pickup truck to move this? Or should I bother my friends during the weekend? We had originally scheduled another mover that ended up showing up 2 hours late and with a too small truck so we were pretty much screwed until we found Keep It Moving. Keep It Moving came through at the last minute with the ability to move us later on that same day AND at a cheaper price! The movers hustled and were more then nice to us...one of the movers even offered his knowledge with putting our fridge back together and they moved a few extra items for us. The entire experience with Keep It Moving has been a nightmare, from start to finish...and continues to be so, with no response or contact from their manager to pay for major damages to our furniture. 1. Their crew was to come around 8 am. After 3 calls to them, 3 calls from the crew foreman and 1 call from their manger, they finally showed up at 10.30 am. When getting us signed up, their sales guy had stated they had done dozens of moves between both apartment buildings, that the crew knew both buildings well, loading dock dimensions, freight elevator rules, time limits, etc etc. 2. When the crew arrived they had no idea where either building was and how to get there. They arrived in a huge moving truck which did not fit in either building's loading docks. They were told beforehand the height clearance was 12' and the loading dock limit was 24'... they were forced to park on the busy street in center city Philadelphia at each location, which involved significant additional time and distance to carry heavy items. This added to even more delays. 3. The freight elevator from 1st building was reserved for 8.30 - 11.30 am, and 2nd building freight elevator for 12.00 - 3.00 pm. Other people in each building had booked after these times for their use. This caused HUGE additional delay problems for us. 4. From the difficulty the crew seemed to be having in moving stuff, and reassembling the furniture (they had taken apart for the move) makes us wonder if they were actually proper movers, because sales guy said it would be an easy move (after viewing all the items that were being moved) of a 1 bedroom apartment, something he said they did routinely. 5. The guys seemed to dismantle the furniture ok, but when trying to put it back together they (a.) forgot/left out the support cross beams of the bed frame, which they later threw out claiming these were just "extra pieces". Obviously not extra pieces since they were a part of the bed when it was dismantled, (b.) broke one of the two support columns of the dining table, they made new holes to reattach the broken column at a different spot, now the dining table does not stay together as one piece, keeps drifting apart into two sections, (c.) the top piece of the china cabinet does not fitting properly anymore, the upper hutch was not aligned and placed properly, caused the frame of the bottom cabinet to get warped and damaged, bottom doors do not open/close properly anymore, so basically ruining the entire china cabinet/hutch. 6. The leather on the top left (visible) corner of the platform bed was ripped open, basically ruining the entire bed. 7. The fabric on left arm of the sofa chair got tears and rips in it, again basically ruining the entire sofa chair. 8. A tall halogen torchiere floor lamp is missing. One of the crew stated afterwards he would (personally) pay for this, he never did even after several repeated attempts to get him to do so. 9. A large expensive Persian Rug (8 1/2' x 12') is missing. So Keep It Moving has essentially ruined our leather bed, ruined our dining table, ruined our china cabinet and hutch, ruined our sofa chair, and the tall Torchiere Lamp and Persian Carpet are missing. Was told last week their "claims dept manager" would contact me to file a claim...yet to hear from any such manager! Very very upset, would have thought their ratings/reviews were important enough for them to realize how to treat customers and make things right, especially when their moving crew caused so much damage... read more

Had one of the worst possible experiences in both moving/customer service with this company. Was scheduled for a delivery at a 4-5 PM window. I received a call from the operations manager, Joe, stating they were running late but would be able to make it within the window. Eventually 6:00 rolled around but the movers hadn't arrived and nobody from the office reached out to me. I got in touch with Joe again who told me he had just spoken to the movers and that they were on their way. Hours passed and there was no sign of the movers. I called Joe multiple times. Every single phone call, Joe repeated the same line: "I promise you, they are on their way. I just spoke to them." By 9 PM, I was sick tired of being fed the same BS and cancelled on them. Only once I had threatened cancellation, did Joe finally got me a realistic estimate of the ETA. At some point, enough is enough; even if the movers did hold to Joe's estimate, the move would have started at 10 PM and I didn't want to stay up all night moving furniture. It's bad enough to show up late- it's another thing to lie to a customer over and over again. Ultimately it took 4 hours and the threat of cancellation for this company to finally start being honest. I moved this past Saturday and if it weren't for Kevin and the guys at Keep It Moving, the day would have been a disaster. It snowed and sleeted, the building I moved out of only gave me a three-hour window to move out a ton of furniture and boxes and the building I moved into wanted the whole move-in completed by 5 pm. The Keep It Moving team met every obstacle with a "can do" attitude and stayed positive throughout the long, cold, wet day. I'd use them again in a heartbeat and definitely recommend them! read more

My daughter moves every few years within Philadelphia and Keep it Moving has been our mover each time. Creating a move with this company couldn't be simpler: clear contract, easy to set up/change/pay, great communication via phone call, text and email. Negative, stressful, and full of hidden fees. The agent (G) gave me a low-ball price, and did not mention the many hidden fees (5% credit card fee, extra walking fee, constant attempts to up-charge on packing-, and I pay for any tickets they incur- no matter where they park). -The agent told me they understand the needs of a private mover, but that was a lie. Example: sent a truck that was way too big for my 1 bedroom apartment move, came late, parked somewhere illegal due to lateness, and got a ticket (which I had to pay). -When I complained, I was told, "It's in the contract". The office manager was rude, and would not connect me to the owner. -The move out took much longer than it should have. -Due to the hidden fees, the price was much higher than quoted. This company will use the contract to gauge you. Almost any other moving company would probably be a better experience. This company is AMAZING! I had a move scheduled with another company to move a Queen bedroom set I had purchased from Jersey to Philly. The other company abandoned the job saying the furniture was too big and "extreme" and made the strange decision to call and tell me there was no way the furniture was going to fit in my home even though they had never seen it! They left my furniture on the curb at the pick up location in Jersey and drove off. Not to mention their attitudes were disgusting (the owner and the movers) and they had zero professionalism... (Mini-Movers of Folsom, PA...Never use them!) Anyway, after the guys walked off the job, I had no one to help me. I jumped on the internet and saw the positive reviews for "Keep It Moving" and decided to give them a call. It was a Sunday afternoon and within an hour, these guys were on their way to pick up my furniture in Jersey. From start to finish, everyone I dealt with was courteous, professional, understanding, and nice. When my bed post had trouble going up my stairs, the movers had tools to disassemble my bed, get it up the stairs, and then they put everything back together. No scratches, no marks & and they were quick too! They came in and finished a job that another company abandoned. I didn't have to wait and I wasn't charged up b/c it was a last minute job (they even charged me Less than the other company!). This was a huge family of 6 move to Florida from DE in Jan 2019. I was pursued by Kevin for months to select this company, and the reviews were good, so I figured, let's give the local folks a try. Well it started out well, but ended very poorly!! The movers, Andrew and his crew, didn't realize until after being in my home for 6 hours they needed another truck! Ok, mistakes can happen- or so I thought! Then Andrew stated that the second truck would arrive 1 day after the first truck-lies. The second truck arrived one week later with so many of our items broken, we cannot even count. The 1st truck had all 6 of our TVs on them, my husband packed all but one-Keep it moving LLC packed 1-a 75 inch TV and of course they broke that one!! The entire management team is dishonest and not to be trusted. Their insurance company as well is the same, has not paid my claim to date and doesn't return calls. I was contacted by the manager, Kevin to make resolution by replacing my TV-he stated he felt bad because "SO MANY mistakes had been made". I read the one negative review and thought....maybe ill still give them a try.....Lord have mercy was I wrong. Potential clients PLEASE BEWARE...The crew put a dent in my stairwell ceiling and tried to say they didn't do it. Here is a lesson for you all, READ ALL OF THE PAPERWORK then EXAM YOUR FURNITURE WALLS AND CEILINGS before paying and signing at the end!!! When you sign you are not just saying everything was move as planned. You are also indicating that there was no damage..... Well they did intact damaged the stairwell ceiling and in the midst of the hustle and bustle of moving i didn't realize what they did. It was only when my husband came home from work that the damage was discovered by him. We put a claim in and of course, it was denied because 1. the movers denied damaging the stairwell ceiling. I was shocked that they would deny the damage because they spent 2-3 minutes pushing and pulling at the queen sized box spring, trying to get it up the stairs until finally they gave up. My question is, why didn't the box spring go all the way up the stairs? ANSWER: because it could get past the stairwell ceiling...and all of the pushing and pulling caused the dent. 2. The claim service indicated that the wall was in poor condition...BOGUS we just had the walls ceiling and floors done in the home. This was just something to throw in there to make it seem like we made up the whole thing and were trying to get money. I will be the first to tell you, the damage was minor (probably under 50.00) and if they had taken responsibility instead of placing the blame back on us, i probably would of left no review instead of doing a bad review. This was a small job..I really can't imagine them doing a bigger job for me or others that i may have referred. Lastly, they were scheduled to start the job at about 9 and didn't arrive until two hours later. I was referred to other companies but i really wanted to give this one a shock and hoped that they would work out to be a great life time company for me. Never again....PLEASE BEWARE....This is only part of the issue with this raggedy company. Just know I will never in life patronize this business again. I was totally confused by the reviews on this page until I looked at the dates. None are current (I used them in 2018 -- most of these reviews are from years earlier and there are only 19 total). I could go on and on about everything that was terrible about this company but I will try to be brief. #1, the owner tried to reschedule my moving time from morning 'til afternoon at around 8 pm the night before my move. #2, I said no, because my apartment complex had strict rules about the time period regarding moves and I had given them my word that I would be out of there by a certain time and wanted to be sure nothing went wrong. #3, The owner said okay, but re-scheduled his guys anyway and showed up himself to start the work. He spent the entire time on the phone (still handling all of his business calls) and was dropping fragile boxes and leaving everything unattended because there was no truck to move anything into. #4, When his guys finally showed up, there were 3 (I had reserved 2), they all worked quickly to try to make up for lost time, which I appreciated. But quickly the owner left with his best guy (the one who, according to the others, was the only one who was any good at packing the truck). I'll summarize the rest: every single piece of furniture that I own is majorly scratched, has a hole in it (two couches), is stained, or broken. They packed boxes upside down, did not bring their own tools, promised me blankets and gave me "paper blankets"--I would have gotten my own blankets if I hadn't been promised them--I didn't need brown paper, moved furniture and boxes one-by-one with no dolly or roller boards or anything (turning my 3-4 hour estimate for a 2-bedroom apartment into a 10 hour job), and at the end, despite ensuring me over and over that everything was going to fit no problem, couldn't fit two pieces of furniture and a mountain bike. (I had moved at least 3 times previously with the same amount of stuff and the same sized truck--packed sometimes by friends who did a better and faster job than this hired company). I was forced to book this company because my lease took forever to negotiate and all the most reputable movers in the city were already booked. I should have planned to move my own stuff. They took my credit card information for a deposit and told me I was on the schedule, then failed to show up on the day of my move. The excuse I was offered was that they were "human" and everyone "makes mistakes." This was not a mistake they expressed to me the day before my move, or even on the morning of my move, but rather something I had to find out by calling them numerous times once they were already 30 minutes late. We used these guys this month to move out of multiple locations in Philadelphia to a storage space in New York. They weren't the fastest, but it was because they were extremely careful with all of our stuff. They even offered to store our stuff overnight because they weren't going to make it to New York before the storage space closed. I've never used movers before, but this was a great experience and I'd definitely use them again. Kevin & his crew were total pros! Kevin especially was always so cordial & professional on the phone. Called me to confirm & to inform me that they were running a few minutes late because of an accident on the way to my house. Once they arrived they started unloading my truck right away & were finished in an hour!! They took great care of my items & were even amazing in moving an upright piano up 1 flight of stairs. I arranged for this mover to move a tenant from a 1BR apartment to a shared house located one block away. As the facts were related to me by the tenant, it was a highly unsatisfactory experience. The movers showed up 2 hours late. Although the move involved transporting a 1 bedroom-apartment's worth of furniture to a location just 4 blocks away, the move took 13 hours. The movers were rude and unprofessional, at one point screaming at the tenant. The personal belongings were not handled with care, and some went missing, though sometime after the police were called they reappeared under a tree nearby. When some large furniture could not fit into the new location, it was kept on the truck overnight. After failing to show up twice to drop off the furniture as promised, it was finally delivered a week later. read more

We hired Keep It Moving LLC to perform an interstate move involving 1. Packing & loading our 2700 sqft home 2. Offloading & storing at Keep it Moving Warehouse for a Week 3. Loading from Warehouse & Delivering to our destination It was a laborious 3 step move and involved a lot of planning and caution because we had expensive natuzzi couches, glass furniture and large electronics items ( tv, tower speaker home theater etc). Keep It Moving explained that the basic insurance would not be enough and recommended taking moving insurance to cover us well. Keep It Moving's transparency is commendable as they take a video/photo inventory of your stuff, it is on the quote and everything is measured in cubic feet , the chances of your quote going higher is very very low, unless you add a lot more stuff. Keep It Moving tracks everything using barcoded RFID labels and chances of your stuff getting lost is next to impossible. They take pictures of everything when they pack and load it in their truck, seeing all this and a solid communication with them completely eased us out. Our trust in them was doubled when every piece of furniture arrived without a single scratch or dent and in the same condition it was loaded. Kudo's to them for a job well done. On moving day, Andrew, Angel and June were extremely friendly and professional from start to finish. They assembled all the furniture that they took apart and took extra special care of our fragile/personal items. Keep It Moving, LLC were, by far, the most professional movers I've ever encountered. I just moved from South Jersey to Atlanta, GA (my 1st official long distance move) and it was nowhere near as "painful" as I thought it would be. First, I was very appreciative of the courtesy call I received from Kevin to provide an accurate ETA. Once they arrived, they moved very quickly to disassemble everything and load the truck as quickly as possible - no lollygagging and taking breaks, etc. Before Kevin and Vaughn arrived in Atlanta, Kevin was very good about texting and communicating about my final balance (based on the weight of my items) so that there would be no surprises, price wise. Upon their arrival to Atlanta, they were just as efficient about unloading and re-assembling all of my furniture, etc. I have nothing but good things to say about them - excellent customer service, reasonable pricing and all of my belongings arrived in one piece. This service was on point. Bryan was able to fit us in last minute, when most other companies were booked. He sent two guys, who emptied our apartment in about 30 minutes. They dismantled our bed and couch and were extremely efficient. They were (mostly) careful with our stuff and (mostly) professional. I would recommend them to anyone, if for nothing else, Bryan's exceptional communication and customer service. I wish they could move us from NJ to CA. read more

My review for this company and the guys they have working for them can be summarized with the following statement: "If I or any of my relatives ever have to move again, this is the ONLY mover I will ever let handle my/their belongings." Now for the details. I've used them several times for myself, my parents, and others. Each time, they provided consistently excellent service. They packed and wrapped everything carefully, handled everything carefully, and worked diligently until the job was done. Nothing was ever scratched, dropped, broken or lost. The estimates they gave, both for time and cost were always right on the money. Extra items not included in the initial estimate? Never a problem for them to accommodate. They show up on time with just the right amount of manpower/equipment/vehicles for the job. And, yes, I've had experience with many other movers. None were as polite, hard working, accommodating, careful with items, or accurate with their estimates as Keep It Moving. What did they have that Keep It Moving didn't? Oh, let's see: Excuses, nasty attitudes, a tendency to move like snails so they could charge for additional moving time, taking longer than normal routes so they could charge for added mileage, and so on. Again, this company is the only one I will ever consider using for future moves. They're that good. read more

My boyfriend and I had a great experience using Keep it Moving to move our furniture and several boxes from Philadelphia into our one-bedroom apartment in Alexandria, VA. I spoke to Kevin on the phone after my plans fell through with a different moving company, and he was extremely friendly, professional, and accommodating. He gave me a price estimate based on the inventory I provided, and he agreed to move our stuff on the date I requested (it was VERY last minute, and I appreciated this immensely). Kevin and another man (I forget his name!) arrived on time to pick up our belongings. They were professional and courteous and had everything loaded in a short period of time. They even agreed to help my boyfriend's mother move a few pieces of furniture from the upstairs bedroom to the downstairs bedroom (she offered them a few extra dollars of course!). They delivered our belongings to our apartment in VA the next day, as planned. They kept me informed about their arrival, and when they hit some traffic, they notified me right away. I appreciated being kept in the loop and not having to sit around all day, wondering when they would arrive. When they arrived, they were very friendly, as they had been throughout the entire process. They worked quickly and unloaded the truck, brought our items into the apartment, and reassembled our bedroom set. We also received all of our belongings in the condition we had left them - definitely good news! Finally, the total cost ended up being less than the estimate Kevin had given me - definitely a plus!
