Update: I've been a repeat customer of Keep Smiling Plumber, Electrical, Heating and Cooling for several home-related repairs. After having an unfortunate experience with Keep Smiling PEHC during my most recent service, I had some misgivings about the company and whether I would return as a customer. In regards to their customer service, everyone that I've engaged with (technicians, onsite supervisor, receptionist) has always been professional and courteous which goes a long way with me. The issue that I had was technical in nature and left me with some dissatisfaction regarding the quality of work. After speaking with leadership of this organization, I believe that they hold the highest standards and expectations for their employees and ensure that any work-related issues are duly resolved. I can sincerely say that they have regained my confidence and trust in contacting them in the future for my future HVAC, Electrical and Plumbing home needs. read more

Unfortunately, I feel gouged and taken advantage of by Keep Smiling and won't be using them again. Short version: they charged me over $400 to cap an already exposed PVC line. I had a water line burst during the recent storm. I shut the water off and located the line break in my garage. I removed the drywall to expose the pipe and cut it above the break. I would have capped it myself but I had to leave town for work, so I had a friend meet the tech so that he could simply cap the line off and I would address replacing the line at a later time. The tech called and told me their book price was $615 for external line repair, but this was internal PVC pipe and not really a repair, so he would call his manager and get a more appropriate price. Unfortunately, he proceeded to do the work without clearing the new price with me, which was still $515. I called around and checked with two other plumbing companies on their rates for the same work of capping a line and they quoted ~$200. I called Keep Smiling and was able to get an additional $100 off the rate, but it was still quite high. I paid over $400 for someone to cap a line that was already exposed. The tech was at my house for 40 minutes and spent less than 15 minutes capping the pipe. He was very friendly, as was Amy at the call center (why I gave two stars instead of one), but this just wasn't handled appropriately. I don't appreciate getting gouged. I still need to have the line repaired, but they lost out on that work and any future work. read more

These people are completely incompetent and shady AF. We hired them to find and resolve the leak we were having from our bathroom. When guy who was supposedly was 'an experienced plumber' said that we had a leak from the AC which wasnt correct. Then we had another one say we had a roof leak! (Wow a feat for this water leak to go from the top of our home to the 3rd level (im counting the attic) These are dummies DO NOT HIRE THEM! These were massive leaks and because of that we got water damage these incompetent dummies recommended THE WORST RESTORATION CO. YOU COULD POSSIBLY GET!! Needless to say they are no good. read more

I am sorry but this company is not one you should use if you desire professional service. First, I booked an appointment for 8-12 time slot. Helen begins to call me at 7 AM to confirm not once but twice. With not so much as " I am sorry." Secondly, I was informed there was a dispatch fee of $39 which was nothing short of a cost shifting charge. Third, the tech wanted to charge me $201----if you can believe this one for diagnostic time! The tech was quick to say it would be offset any charges that would be forthcoming. Would I receive a credit if the charges were less than $240. He stated "no." So the minimum charge is $240. Finally I spoke to William and he stated not only once that my call was being recorded. He then gave reasons for the operations and charges. Frankly, I was not receptive to his explanations. Like other reviews, I would say the services are not competitive and over priced. On 10.24.2025, I called and scheduled an appointment with Keep Smiling, because my hot water heater, the water was not getting hot. The lady on the phone said it would be a $39.00 fee for coming out. The guy came and looked at the hot water heater then said it would be a $200.00 diagnostic fee to see what is going on but he would credit me $20.00 to make it $180.00 for the diagnostic. If he did the work it would go toward the total bill. He asked me to sign and I did. My house was built in 2021 so we figured the elements needed replacing. He says the element needed replacing and the water line needed to be rebuilt. He then says the element replacement would be $421.00 the rebuild would be $439.00 total cost would be $860.00. I called my husband and he went off. He told them if you say 39.00 on the phone and when you get here knowing you have to diagnose the system to see what is going on with it, that's false advertisement. He said I am not paying you anything and we called the office to talk to the owner and told him the same thing. He told the guy it's okay just leave. We were going to pay the $39.00 fee but the owner said that was okay. However, the next day after obtaining a second professional opinion, I was informed that my hot water heater is still in good working condition and only needed the elements replaced. This raises serious concerns about the accuracy and honesty of the diagnosis I received from the Keep Smiling technician. I value a business that operates with integrity and transparency, and I feel this was a deliberate attempt to overcharge us. I recently had Keep Smiling perform a maintenance on my AC system. Although Sammy was very professional and did a great job, he found that I needed to replace the capacitor in the system. I was charged $238.00 to replace the capacitor. Imagine my surprise when I went on Amazon and found the same capacitor for less than $20.00. Now I'm not sure but it seems a little excessive to be charged almost $220.00 to install it. I have used Keep Smiling a few times now and have found their work to be very good however, their instillation charges are VERY HIGH! read more

Our initial service call to Keep Smiling was for an electrician to troubleshoot and fix a problem our sump pump was pulling power from outdoor outlets. Our electrician Joshua Craig was able to identify the problem with the outlets and the circuitry during that visit. We elected to have a brand new sump pump installed as the old one had seen better days and was almost 15 years old. During his inspection of our 50+ year old home, he assessed many more of our outlets are probably in need of replacement and we should consider a full service for the home. We are very safety conscious and keep up with the house needs so we agreed with Joshua and signed off on the work. As we left for vacation that week, we were secure with Joshua having access to our home for the week so he could complete the work without interruption. While we were on vacation, Joshua contacted us several times with an update on the work. There were several critical repairs that were needed to bring some of the wiring up to code that he needed permission to fix. We did that via email and he was able to continue working without stoppage. When we returned home, we were extremely impressed not only with the quality of Joshua's workmanship but the quality of the materials he used. All of the sockets and plates are matching throughout the house. They are quiet, reliable, and many of the lights don't flicker anymore! The new wiring he performed dramatically affected the lighting in the areas addressed. We have GFCI in all the right places now and the security our home wiring is safe. In terms of the efficiency of the company staff, they were on top of everything from setting up and confirming appointments by text and phone to letting us know everyday the timeframe that Joshua would arrive each day. Joshua was very prompt in returning our texts and made sure we understood all the work that was to be performed. We would definitely recommend Joshua and Keep Smiling for a large electrical job such as ours. They were professional and courteous throughout the process. Thanks for the cookies! read more

Keep Smiling sent one of their technicians out 2 days after we called. He did not introduce himself to me, just my husband. He then started to snake our lines with an extremely blurry camera & you couldn't see a thing. He was taking personal phone calls in our backyard. He then "diagnosed" our problem, saying he thinks there is a blockage somewhere in the line & our entire main sewer line needs to be replaced. He charged us $1700 & quoted us 13k to fix it. You can also see in the photos I added that he charged us $780 to remove our toilet & $362 to reinstall it. Insane. We called Roto Rooter and they had 3 technicians out within 2 hours, on a Sunday night. They snaked our drain with a professional camera (you could actually see everything) and actually diagnosed our problem which was roots in our line. They charged us $600 & 5k to fix. Our sewer line did not need to be replaced so Keep Smiling lied about that. R.R. said the camera Keep Smiling used was one you could rent at Home Depot. R.R. also sent out a 4th person to our house just to check that we were happy with their service & make sure we were being taken care of. After calling Keep Smiling to demand our money back after such blatant negligence & deceit, they refused. My husband threatened to report them to the state & they refunded us $1000 out of the $1700 ONLY after he called them back every day for almost a week straight because they tried to blow us off. Today, they fit me in for a morning appointment. Electrician Charles Duncan arrived promptly. He was professional and courteous. Gabe came out this afternoon at 4:15 to repair my toilet leak. He was knowledgeable and courteous. He repaired my leak but charged me $581.00! I could have had Lowe's or Home Depot install a brand new replacement toilet for LESS MONEY. He mentioned that they work on COMMISSION . That might explain it. I contacted Keep Smiling because I had done business with them when Carl and his son ran the operation. I called them again years later (after it was sold) for an issue with my shower. This time I was quoted over a thousand dollars for something that turns out only required a gasket. A friend and I went ahead and replaced the stem valve while we had it opened up. Keep Smiling cut a hole in the wall so that we could see what was going on behind the shower so we both saw where the water was coming from but instead of starting with the smallest fix it was determined I would need a new Shower valve. My total bill at Home Depot was $50. Be wary when using this company as it is apparent they train their employees now differently than in the past. They would not give any kind of price range over the phone and said a tech would have to come out - told me up front that there is a $39 trip fee which would apply to the install. I should have balked at that, but had them come out. They wanted almost $600 so I bowed out and grudgingly paid the trip fee. Called another company (I'll review them separately), they didn't charge a trip fee up front and did the install same day for $275. Their technician James Nuckles went to my house to diagnose making sure there is no leak in the house, he said he has to run diagnostic test that can take between 30 min to 1 hr, after charging my credit card fir $180 then 10 min later he Called me and said it's from your toilet. He said it's going to cost me $700 to fix it , when I asked not to fix let me compare the rate with another company he got mad and when I asked what's wrong what needs to be fixed he said I can't tell you since my work is money and said I put everything in the invoice. I told him I paid $180 and have the right to know what's wrong but he just said read the invoice and it's there and he hanged up on me. Only ones smiling here is the plumbers because they got paid. Went with Keep Smiling Plumbing because they were available this morning & we had tenants coming to sign a lease this afternoon. Initially everything started off great. The Technician was friendly professional & polite. Even when he jumped on the you should replace the water heater instead of repairing it, I was ok with it. He made valid points that I understood before I called them. A water heater that's almost 20 years old is likely to go any time & the cost to repair versus how long it might last is terrible. I totally agreed & explained that I just got laid off 3 weeks ago & until I can find a new job we just need the drain valve to stop dripping. I even asked for a quote to replace it with a new Tankless water heater because I know it needs to be replaced but we just couldn't afford it today. The technician explained that they won't warranty the repair because just depressurizing the tank to drain it & then repressurizing it could cause the entire tank to fail because of its age. I explained that I just need the drain to stop dripping long enough for me to find a new job & then I was calling them back for the new tankless system. The technician started the job but reported he couldn't close the cold-water inlet valve. I asked if it's a problem & he said no just that he would have to shut off the main to do the repair. Thumbs up & back to work. The new tenants arrive. We're going over the house tour & lease details when the technician reports the job is done. I asked if there were any issues & he reports no problems & everything is working fine. I give him my CreditCard, he has me sign for it & he is out the door. 45 minutes later I'm doing the walk through with tenants & all the tubs & sinks are full or sediment that didn't get rinsed down the drain. No big deal we turn on the water to rinse them since the tenants want to verify the plumbing. The hot water has more sediment as expected but oddly we're getting a lot of sediment from the cold-water lines too. The Tenant & I are both checking out the water heater since it was just repaired & while I'm looking at the replaced drain at the bottom of the tank the tenant notes that the pipe fitting at the wall on top is dripping. I suggested perhaps the fitting worked loose while the technician was working & I said I'd call the technician after we finished. Moving on we end in the kitchen where barely a dribble of water comes out the faucet. Hot or cold makes no difference. Not good news but I said I would ask about it. I called & texted the technician about it & was told in simple terms & I quote. "Absolutely No Warranty!" I don't know what the no warranty disclaimer said because like an idiot I didn't' read it & just signed it when the technician handed me the pen, my bad. I also don't know if there's a legal distinction between no warranty on repair versus shoddy labor that results in other issues/damages... Honestly, I don't really care. I called about a leaking drain valve. I was told they would replace the drain valve but couldn't warranty the repair or guarantee the repair would even work because the water heater could fail when it was repressurized. What I got for $380 was a fixed drain plug... leaking pipes, & what I guess is so much sediment in the water lines that it is clogging the faucets, but I guess I should be happy the drain doesn't drip. Now I'm calling a different plumber to fix the leaking water pipe & figure out why faucets aren't flowing anymore after this plumber worked on my house. I understand there's no warranty or guarantee on the water heater itself because it is old... if the water tank had failed when it was repressurized I would've signed up for the new tank today... but from where I'm sitting it looks like poor quality workmanship caused other issues during the repair & there is just a total lack of customer service to even care about it at all. You can probably guess who I won't be calling back for the new tankless system when I can afford it in the next few months. read more

No detail about leaks, main water valve, main line, shut off valve, no pictures, no idea about how long the project would take. At this point I don't believe a detailed inspection was completed! Where is the proof? As a home buyer I expected more detail in the report. I called and spoke to William the "manager" for help but it was pointless. He stated that I had an "attitude" simply because I was expressing my frustration with this $150 "Inspection"! Labeling your customer is not providing good customer service! I do most of the plumbing tasks around our house, so we only call them when something is going seriously wrong, and they have always shoehorned us into their schedule. Great family business, with good folks who absolutely know what they are doing. We have never had to have them come out a second time because a repair didn't work the first time. Beware! Watch Out! A plumber from this company gave me an estimate of $850.00 to install 2 bathroom sink faucets. This estimate did not include the faucet fixtures since I had already purchased them. It would have been a very easy installation with no complicating factors. Of course I questioned him about the quote, but he said it was correct. I was absolutely shocked. I felt I was being taken advantage of since I am an older person. Thank goodness I did not fall for this astronomical, absurd estimate. One reason I contacted this company for an estimate was because I had heard good things about it. Sadly, this was not my experience.
