This company is a sham. They promised an estimate on a simply repair that included parts that needed to be purchased. They didn't send one. The final bill was $650 and included a $525 charge for parts. When I asked for an itemized receipt detailing what they actually paid, I found out that the company only paid $173 for those parts and materials. There was then a second charge for labor which I was happy to pay. Do yourself a favor-- find another plumber! read more

Steven installed a new bidet seat (Toto Washlet) this morning. An earlier plumber looked at the seat and tripled his estimate for replacing it. Steve examined things and then showed me we needed a $6.80 extension to hook it into the back of the toilet. The price was reasonable and they didn't increase it for coming back to finish the install. It's not just Steve. The woman in the office rescheduled us twice without complaint. Morningside plumbing is competent, prompt, and ethical. I recommend them to homeowners in Midtown Atlanta--and anywhere else. read more

This company was helpful from start to finish. I texted a picture of my dripping shower head, they texted back an estimate for the repair, and they were able to come within a few days. Josh came and replaced the cartridge - one, two three. Best yet, I was concerned a few days later because there was still a tiny drip. Josh came back (at no charge) and showed me that this drip was nothing to be worried about - just a result of the wider shower head holding water and not related to the cartridge repair. I was having a garbage disposal issue at my home today and it wasn't working. My wife and kids had put a lot of food into it, and when we flipped the switch we got nothing . I was especially worried about this because we were going to leave town the next morning and the thought of leaving the food in the drain to rot made my head hurt. Excellent Service Company. My hot water heater thermal expansion tank developed a leak after hours causing continuous leaking of water (thankfully I had a catch pan under the heater and outside drain so no floor damage :-) I called the Emergency After Hours Number for Morningside Plumbing and promptly got a a call back from the Service Manager, Josh. He was at my home within little over an hour. He had the necessary part on the truck and got the problem quickly fixed. He was polite, pleasant, attentive, helpful and explained things clearly. I had a toilet installed in my home by Morningside Plumbers. The toilet developed a crack around the entire bowl soon after the installation. The same plumber was sent out to check it out at which time he stated it was not like that when he put it in. Meanwhile the owner NEVER returned my call. The person who replaced the toilet showed me the numerous things that were WRONG with the installation. So completely disappointed that businesses can still run like this and get away with it. I am not giving them a star because they do not deserve any stars. I hope people read this pay attention. This company is all over midtown. Terrible service. The plumber acted as if I had done something to damage the toilet. Wish I had never called them...Wonder if I get a response now??? read more

They came out today for what we all thought was a simple "reset" of a toilet in our guest bathroom - well once Stephen (from Morningside) got to the house and took a look at it... We all quickly realized it would be a much larger job... They called in another person to help late on a Friday afternoon to make sure that the toilet was working for the weekend-Never made us feel bad for being so late on a Friday... I feel like we finally found our forever plumbers! We called two separate companies to come deal with our sewer back up in the last month. Both charged a huge amount to clear our line and gave us two separate diagnoses of what was wrong with our system. Both diagnoses, however, required a total sewer line replacement. Morniside was third plumber we called. Josh arrived on time and spent time diagnosing the problem. He cleared the line and ran a camera and showed us exactly what the problem was and recommended repairs. I should add that their pricing seems to be better than the big chain plumber company we had used previously. With the other two companies, I felt the plumbers were trying to make a sale. With Morningside, we felt they were trying to solve our problem. read more

These guys were great!! We live in Brookhaven and our sink/food disposal was broken. I must have called 6 plumbers before these ones were able to book me in a reasonable amount of time. Morningside did arrive when needed however the technicians showed no concern about the furniture or rugs with the spill area. This restroom was outside of an office space and they didn't remove furniture or rugs to keep them from getting damaged that were in the bathroom or in they travel pattern from equipment. A severe lack of care and professionalism. The additional debris from the pumping out of the clog/spill got all over everything. While waiting for another truck with high pressured water they sat in the tenant chairs while dirty and mess the chairs up. After hours working they final got it unclogged but left a mess. The company they recommended for mediation of contamination where unprofessional and caused undue cost to repair the un-needed work they did. They were prompt and fixed the problem but won't recommend either company. read more

These guys are everything wrong with the industry. Charge you a fee to show up, "credit" that fee towards the work and then over charge the installation. After they left, my problem reoccurred immediately. It felt like I was scammed out of my money. I was upset enough to call the "owner" only to find he was the one I was already dealing with... Stay away and find someone on Angie's List. Ultimately, I am the one that is responsible but was desperate for a resolution to my problem. We had a quote in hand from Morningside Plumbers for replacing the pipes that had been draining slowly in our front yard. They had already submitted the lowest bid, but we were waiting to have the work done. Well the house backed up entirely on us forcing us to act fast. We called at the company 10pm on a Friday and the drain pipe in our front yard was replaced by 1pm the next day. They were fast, friendly, and professional. We had an outdoor leak surfacing that we contacted this company for. Morningside sent a technician out to diagnose the issue. Within 6 minutes of the arrival time, the technician sent photos of what he assumed was an irrigation control valve issue. We called an irrigation company to assess and repair. The irrigation company found that there was nothing wrong with the irrigation valve. I called Morningside back out to look again since we paid a $125 service fee for an incorrect diagnosis, Morningside advised that we needed to contact a Leak Detection Company to locate the leak because "it had to be underground." Decided to call another plumber for a second opinion, it took a different plumber less than 3 minutes to find the issue, which was less than 6 feet away from where Morningside advised that it was, they corrected the issue the same day. I contacted Morningside to let them know what the issue was, that the technician was wrong and requested a refund. NOW, I have been trying for a MONTH AND A HALF to get a refund for this service call for the incorrect diagnosis. Each time I call, Dawn advises "I promise someone will call you back. I put a big note so I don't let them forget." No call has came, no emails have been returned and no refund has been issued. Steer clear if you don't want to be ripped off. read more

Had a good experience talking with Paul about my plumbing issues and got a good vibe from him when he came out to evaluate and estimate our job. Raoul and his assistant came out to today to get our most critical issue taken care of: finishing the incomplete installation of our new vanity. The contractor who did our bathroom remodel had given up on the vanity installation after realizing the previous pipe configuration was not going to work with our new vanity which was 36" high compared to our previous at 30". There was a shelf on the vanity right in front of our old pipe preventing us from putting in a p-trap. Purchasing a new vanity was not an option since our new vessel sink was glue to the old already and a hole had already been made in the furniture for the sink drain, so the furniture could not be salvaged. Raoul and his assistant moved our vent stack up, and ran new plumbing through our wall. They connected the custom plumbing components we had purchased, and were able to remove and replace the marble tile where the previous pipe had been. They executed this delicate tile work to absolute perfection. Pricing was a steal for the quality of the work and service. read more

A+ service from beginning to end! After bad experiences with two different plumbing companies to help with a bathroom install, we called Morningside. Of all the contractors we hired to help us finish out our basement, the folks at Morningside were the only ones who did their job with 100% integrity, professionalism, and punctuality every step of the way. From the courteous and helpful office person, to the competent and polite plumbers, to the communicative and honest owners, we have been totally impressed and absolutely pleased with our experience with Morningside. Our basement bathroom was finished on time, by friendly and knowledgeable professionals, at a reasonable price that was consistent with the estimate given. Furthermore, one of the plumbers was kind enough to take time out of the install to take a look at some water stains that had appeared on our ceiling upstairs (which had nothing to do with the job we had hired them for). Our home warranty company had previously sent out another plumber to try to diagnose the issue. He had no idea what had caused the stains and suggested that we cut into the ceiling, which would have been extremely costly, not to mention inconvenient! In 5 minutes, Raul from Morningside figured out the source of the stains and walked us through how to fix the issue ourselves with some grout and silicone sealant. His advice was free of charge, accurate, and the fix ended up costing us less than $20!
