Yelp's weekly suggestions are some spot-on and timely. Had it not been for one of them I recently…read morereceived, I don't think I would discover this hidden bar. Its overall chicness in a spacious lounge-style room immediately cooled me down once I arrived (on the day I visited after work, the temperature outside was soaring in upper 80's.) The time was around 4:45pm. If I am not mistaken, their happy hour is 3-5pm. I thought I was in the middle of the HH rush but there were still plenty of seatings available and yet the place was nowhere near empty. And yet, I found just the right spot so I would be away from all the chatters emitting from the people mainly sat at the bar. The selections for wine (red and white) as well as the tap beers are quite the variety. During the HH time, the drinks are only $5 for beer on tap, well mules, wells spirits and any wine on tap. For a chic/elegant/upscale place such as this place, this pricing offer is extremely generous. I simply couldn't think of anything other than refreshing cold white wine so after getting a little suggestion from my wonderful waiter, I went with the Angeline Sauvignon Blanc (the regular price is $12 so I saved $7.) As much as I am a wine person, I don't go by the rigid rules. White win should generally be served between 45°F and 55°F (7°C to 13°C) and yet at home I chill my (white) wine in the freezer for a bit so it will be super cold. This is a must for me. And to my surprise, when they served me the Sauvignon Blanc it was pretty close to the super chill temperature I am used to. As if they read my mind, I was quite surprised and happy with the cold crisp white wine. It was a quick stop to have a little "after work" cocktail on the way home so I didn't get any food and yet that crisp chilled white wine I was served instantaneously made me a big fan of this cocktail lounge. When I asked my waiter when the place opened. He said it opened in 2019. I simply couldn't believe it. If it's been around for this long but the fact that I recently heard about it stunned me. And if I am not mistaken, the waiter said that another location is about to open in a different area in the Denver metro. It's nice to know that this business is thriving. Good for them.

During my June, 2024 vacation to Colorado, my friend, Felixx, invited Alyssa and me to meet up with…read morehim for after dinner drinks at the Lazy Greyhound on Saturday, the 22nd. Wow, I didn't expect to be blown away by a bar! The Lazy Greyhound is not your typical watering hole - the establishment is a chic speakeasy-style cocktail lounge inspired by the classic British gentlemen's clubs of the 18th and 19th centuries. Nestled within downtown Littleton on Main Street, the location is a hidden gem amidst numerous breweries. After easily finding free street parking nearby, we arrived shortly before 8:30 PM. Entry was like stepping into a different world through an unassuming exterior - inside, the dimly lit room's timeless elegance with Chesterfield leather sofas was softly illuminated by the three stained glass pieces above the bar, one of which depicts the venue's namesake. The tasteful décor adds a touch of class and sophistication to the intimate ambiance and handsome atmosphere. After we were granted to enter past the red velvet rope at the front door, we grabbed a seat at one of the Chesterfields. The comfortable lounge seating made for a cozy spot for relaxed socializing and the music volume was perfectly pleasant for personal conversations. The setting was casual, but refined, with vintage touches. My kind of place, for sure. To complement the stylish environment, The Lazy Greyhound offers an extensive menu featuring a unique blend of timeless classic cocktails, "OLD DOGS/TRIED & TRUE CLASSICS," and creatively crafted modern drinks, "NEW TRICKS/SEASONAL CREATIONS," as well as beer, wine and "SMALL BITES/SHAREABLE SNACKS." Remarkable service also adds to the delightful experience. Our server, Zach/Zack/Zac (sp?), was warm, friendly and genuinely engaging - he took the time to guide us through the impressive menu and was eager to offer beverage suggestions based on our preferences. I was looking for something with an egg white foamy topping, so he suggested the AMARETTO SOUR, IMPROVED ($15) which was velvety and the signature almond sweetness was not overpowering. Alyssa went with the ALWAYS ON CALL ($15), a deliciously creamy coffee-forward mixed drink. We also ordered the PINK SQUIRREL which Zach/Zack/Zac comped for us due to the long wait. The retro, indulgent mixed drink tickled us pink with its hue and creamy, sweet and nutty flavour. Serving the PINK SQUIRREL on the house to us reflected The Lazy Greyhound's commitment to customer care and satisfaction. Felixx ordered the yummy MEAT & CHEESE BOARD which was served with thoughtful presentation. True story: I super suck with electronics and am practically blind without my eyeglasses, so I accidentally undertipped Zach/Zack/Zac while using the handheld payment system. When I saw the receipt back at Alyssa's house, I was horrified to see that I hadn't tipped him what he deserved. I returned to The Lazy Greyhound on the 24th just before 11 PM. Even though they were closed and the doors were locked, I knocked until someone answered so I could personally give cash to Zach/Zack/Zac to make up for my mistake. He was very gracious and thankful. The Lazy Greyhound immediately earned its spot as a favourite bar of mine through their intimate, speakeasy-style atmosphere combined with their innovative concoctions and welcoming service. They stand out as a premier destination for a high-quality, relaxing and memorable evening.

Great staff, reasonably priced cocktails and a good atmosphere without being too loud…read more One of the few cocktail lounges I've been to recently where you can actually hear the conversations from your company. Each season they rotate their specials and their spring drinks are in! I actually prefer their last couple specials compared to this time around but they're still good! We ordered the equinox, master of the house and old fashioned. The old fashioned is pretty boozy but an easy one to drink, it's your basic old fashion but tasty Master of the House sounded interesting, but I guess I'm not really a fan of spicy drinks (even though I love spicy foods). I ended finishing it but my friends enjoyed it! The equinox is a light and refreshing drink, which could benefit from a little more lemon (or the lemon juice was on the lighter side that day). Overall it's a spot we frequent when visiting our best friends in Littleton. We love the quaint and Victorian atmosphere and he staff has always treated us well.

I feel like this made our server grumpy. I got the egg in the hole, my mom got a trad bfast, and my cousin got the lemon ricotta pancakes. The food was great as were the mimosas. My mom was particularly irked by the server, which I think bothered me more haha. Everyone has off days. Food and a non-busy dining room win for me.

I have never had such a horrific experience! I was greeted at the host desk at their restaurant Saverina by a server who refused to seat us in the restaurant because I had my service dog with me. I gently reminded her that she is not allowed to refuse us service (he is extremely well-behaved and wears all the apparel required for a trained service dog). I was shocked that she was questioning his validity. After continuing to argue with me, she finally huffed off and said that she would have to ask her manager. They finally got me a table, but we sat there waiting for service for a ridiculous amount of time--something to do with the bartender waiting on us. Kimpton has always impressed me with their hospitality and extremely dog-friendly hotels. Sadly, they have completely missed the mark with the Claret Hotel and restaurant Saverina.
