This was my second time here. I wanted to give this place another try. Went here and had the everything plate with meat loaf, fried chicken, green beans, and mashed potatoes. This is not worth the hype or the price AT ALL. Fred Meyers fried chicken dinner is better than this. The Mac and cheese was not seasoned at all. I can't even say under seasoned. It was like eating Mac salad with mayo topped with cheese. Meat loaf was fine. Green beans were actually seasoned. Fried chicken tasted and looked like it was fried in old oil. I got to Kees 30 minutes before opening put my name on the list waited three hours for a non "loaded" Christmas meal that was THE SAME PRICE as everyone else's. I was missing Mac and cheese, dessert, gravy and nothing was offered to make up for the mishap. By the time our number got called it was too late to go anywhere else it's Christmas Day. My son is obsessed with bbq and saw this place on "Street Food" (Netflix) a while back. He kept saying we had to go if we were ever in Portland. After a few days in Cannon Beach we decided to take a detour to #Loaded before heading home. It was SO worth it. We got there a few minutes before opening and put our name on the list. We waited for about 20 minutes to be called and ordered the Loaded Everything. They had it ready quick considering how much food we got! $85 might sound like a lot, but considering it could feed six it really is a great price! It came with tons of chicken wings, 2 generous pieces of fried crackfish, a chicken fried pork chop, pulled pork, brisket, greens, bbq beans, mac, potato salad, corn on the cob, rolls, lemonade (tasted like it had some mango in it too. Yum!) and a slice of lemon Bundt cake. We ate a ton and it hardly looked like we made a dent. Brought it home and made lunch for 3 and we still have enough for a small dinner for 3 again! Every bit of the meal was delicious. The highlights were the crackfish-- perfectly breaded, spiced and crispy with a tender inside and no nasty fishy flavor. Dipped in hot sauce made it even more amazing. I ate almost all of the 2 huge pieces myself. The pulled pork had that beautiful sweet and smokey flavor and the brisket was nice and smokey as well. Greens were on point-- tender, smokey, with a hint of sweetness and a tiny kick. I don't usually like bbq beans, but these were SO tasty! I could go on and on. Really don't have anything negative to call out. Really nice people and amazing food at a very fair price. Bonus, as we were waiting, another chef (Ruthie's) featured on the Portland "Street Food" episode walked up, introduced himself to Kee and ordered. Fun foodie moment. Believe the hype. Kee's has the BEST fried chicken. She makes that true homemade friend chicken, but with an added zing. Not only is it crispy, but it isn't that heavy greasy batter. There are hints of lemon, pepper and amazing flavors. The portions of the plates are super generous and shareable. The sides were equally as tasty as the friend chicken. We loved the Mac n' Cheese! Our dessert was a homemade snickerdoodle cupcake and it was to die for! We came to Portland with high food truck expectations and Kee's hit it out of the ballpark. In addition to amazing food, we got to meet Kee! She was warm and friendly, and you can tell she puts her heart and soul into the food. Stopped by today for a little bit of everything plate! The plates are literally loaded down with food and in my opinion shareable for you and a few friends. The cons of this experience is the excessive wait time . I waited in line after putting my name on a list for almost 1.45 hours just to get a number to then get a plate. The price was also super expensive $85 and not sure if I would revisit. They give you food to feed a family of 6 and tasted good. I didn't need that much but that's the only way it's sold. I was not alone as everything sat waiting patiently which was a sign that the food had to be good. There is music playing outside with a few chairs, very few, and limited places to eat. The meal that I had included all of the following: Mac and cheese, corn and cabbage, catfish, wings, brisket, ribs, sausage and pork chops. Wow! We were number 17 and we waited about 1.5 hours. However it seems like the line stopped shortly after us so new people who came in line only waited 20 mins or so for their food. It's a mixed bag since wait times can vary. We ordered a lasagna dinner with an extra side order of wings. The lasagna dinner comes with dinner roll, garlic knots, green beans, wings, dessert and a drink. Lasagna is solid and the wings were unforgettable! I had Kees bookmarked for about 3 years at least and been hypnotized by her posts ever since. GoT to meet Kee and see the team and hang out with bunny for a bit (what a sweet pea!) portions were good for 2-3 people with leftovers for dinner. She gives very generous portions. Enough to feed 2 people . You would have to be extra hungry to eat a whole plate in her case a platter of food overloaded in 1 sometimes 2 containers. She's friendly to all her customers and makes them feel welcome. She's very popular and plan to wait in line so dress for the weather. I would suggest arriving early as possible to be assigned a number and be place on the list. She stays busy but, Her busiest days are Saturday and Sunday. She's really strict about her food quality and behind the scenes she runs a tight ship. She's requires perfect attendance when you work for her, because she wants to be there for the people. A glance at the menu, you see prices you weren't prepared for but a glance doesn't tell the whole story. $45 for a rib dinner? Then we add sides? How many sides? It turns out $45 is for the main you choose and EVERY SIDE listed AND dessert AND a drink. And they do not serve the sides with a tablespoon, the sides are heaping and overflowing. Yams, collard greens, baked beans, potato salad, Mac and cheese. The greens, fantastic. It's all fantastic. We ordered a pork ribs dinner with a side of catfish which was freaking aaamazzzing! When we got our order we sat at one of their tables to have the catfish before it cooled. I knocked my lemonade on the ground, the gal at the window immediately said, "come on, I'll give you another one". I don't know if that was a good thing or a bad thing because that stuff is like liquid crack to me. It is so freaking good. If I lived closer, I would be hassling them for jugs of it. Saw this business and the story behind it on Netflix. Happened to be passing through Portland heading back to San Antonio. Got there early and waited 2 hours for it to open. The food was worth the wait. We ordered "The Everything" it was $75. That was a shocker but I still made the order. I asked was it enough to feed 2 hungry people. She said yes. Took it back to our camper and started laying it out on the table to eat inside. It was an amazing amount of food! It was also very good. The Mac and cheese was some of the best I've had, so was the large quantity of pulled pork. It had incredible flavor. The hot fried chicken was on point with a hint of lemon. It was real catfish, not swai like a lot of places are using. If it wasn't, I couldn't tell. Greens were good, better than some other places I've tried. Over all, we were well pleased. Fortunately we had a small fridge in our camper and was able to keep the leftovers for the the next day. The food could have easily fed 4 people. Great job!!!
