I love BBQ and ribs in particular. I came to Podnah's hungry for lunch and got their double rib plate with beans and collards. There are three BBQ sauces at the table - original, vinegar, and mustard. All were very tasty. I left so full that I did not eat dinner. Parking was hard to find in the local neighborhood and I walked a couple of blocks. Inside and outside seating. Please come and create your own adventure.

Always delicious! Friendly servers! Very casual but a fun place. We usually come when we are visiting our kids in Portland.

This place is a ripoff. 2 meats and 2 sides with these kind of portions for $30, with mandatory 20% gratuity included, is a waste of money. The pulled pork and brisket was nothing to rave about. I've had outstanding ones in South Carolina and Georgia at a more reasonable price. I won't be returning to this scam restaurant.

Amazing tender delicious brisket, pulled pork, Mac n cheese. loved the service. Sauces are on point. A little far for me but tried it for the first time. Will return when in the area.

Its been awhile since I have been back to Podnahs. We came for lunch to try out their special wings for wings week, which was pretty decent. For me, the jalepeno cheddar sausage stole the show. I would come back and get it everytime. Its super flavorful and bursting with cheese. I also want to come back and do their dinner specials.

I placed an order for delivery via Uber Eats. I ordered the two meat plate with brisket, a sausage link, potato salad, and green chili Mac and cheese. I also ordered a cup of Texas Red Chili and it came with cornbread. Podnah's did not send my complete order; the green chili Mac, my favorite, was missing. Order accuracy is important and Uber did nothing to rectify the situation. I guess I'll have to stop ordering from here. The chili was meaty but not flavorful at all. I tasted hot and that's it. There should have been some flavor to it. The cornbread was okay, but didn't really have flavor to it. Not sure who is cooking and packaging orders, but someone else needs to do it.

Sunday brunch was great. Super tasty. Coffee was yummy. Highly recommend the biscuit with honey! Service was good.

The happy hour menu is very limited, but the choices are good and prices are great! Our server was fantastic! FYI - gratuity (tip) is included already.

stars $37 for four ribs and an automatic 18% gratuity... seriously? The ribs had a decent smoke line, but everything else missed. The coleslaw was the worst I've ever had (sent it back), the beans were mediocre, and the whole plate tasted like straight vinegar with zero balance. Ironically, the Hazy IPA and the fries were the best things I had--which says a lot for a BBQ place. Not impressed. Not coming back.

I really wanted to like this place but it fell short for me. I drive by here all the time since it's so close to where I live and see people sitting outside every night so I thought it must be a popular spot. I ordered takeout and they were nice enough to let me eat it there. The customer service was definitely 5 stars. The servers were really nice and attentive to me. Unfortunately I didn't love anything that I ordered. The potato salad had way too many onions and the brisket was very dry. The sauces weren't great either. I love cornbread so was disappointed that the cornbread wasn't flavorful and it had no sweetness. I did put butter and honey on it since they had that at the tables which made it better.

I'm really hoping the night we visited was just an off night ? But wow--this was incredibly disappointing. We came for my birthday dinner, and not only were our plates served extremely cold, but I also found a long hair in my salad, which had to be taken back. Nothing was seasoned. The ribs were tough and far from "falling-off-the-bone," the brisket was just okay, and the coleslaw tasted soggy, like it had been sitting for a week. Others in our party ordered the fried chicken and the fish plate but unfortunately, those dishes didn't stand out either. Our server only checked in on us once the entire night, though I understand it was busy. This place came highly recommended by a coworker and has great reviews, so I'd be willing to give it another chance but I honestly can't find the words to describe how disappointing this visit was.

I've heard about Podnah's a lot so when we were craving BBQ, it was time to check them out! The restaurant is located in a busy area of Killingsworth with several other food places. The food was really good! I had the brisket plate with BBQ beans, potato salad and corn bread. The portions were fairly large. I'm not a huge fan of potato salad with raw onion and celery in it, but the flavor was good! We got there around 7, our food came very quickly! However, they close at 8 and the staff started cleaning up around us about halfway through our meal, which I hate to see. It makes me feel rushed and unwanted. I'm sure that happens at every restaurant but ... I hate it!

Did you know they were also featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives? Located on NE Killingsworth in a fun little strip of other bars and restaurants, you can literally smell the BBQ aromas wafting through the air. We started with delicious house fried chips and their homemade green chile queso. For our main, we opted to split The Pitboss, a BBQ plate with a little bit of everything--brisket, pulled pork, pork ribs, sausage, and cornbread. It comes with two sides, so we got green chile mac and cheese and coleslaw. The pulled pork and sausage were probably my favorite, but the ribs and brisket weren't too bad either. There's a selection of a few house made sauces you can use with your meal as well. I prefer sweet cornbread with my BBQ, but this one was on the savory side and was a bit dry, a lowlight for me. The mac was a highlight, the shells were cooked al dente and coated in their green chile queso. I liked the coleslaw too, it was vinegar-based instead of mayo-based and a nice way to cut the richness of the meats. Recs: The Pitboss + chips and queso

    Is it halal?

No, although I am not 100% certain, I am at least 95% sure. And based upon the deadpanned interaction, or lack thereof that I received being African American, I'm going 99.9% sure, they are not halal!!!

    Do they have air-conditioning?

No! It's hot as hell inside so we ate outside:

    Do you accept reservations?

Do they serve brunch on the weekdays?

Weekends only. They open at 11:00 on weekdays

IMO. This BBQ is Kansas City style, so the sauce is a bit sweeter. We got the brisket, the chicken wings, and sides. We couldn't decide if on the sauce for the wings, so we got all 3 on the side. The Alabama white sauce was A+ The brisket was perfectly tender. It had great flavor and marbling. The wings are full wings with the drummette attached. That's the way to do it! They are smoked and then fried. They got the crisp just right. Let's talk about sides! We got the collard greens, coleslaw, and baked beans. They were all FANTASTIC! The coleslaw is a vinegar coleslaw, which I love. It wasn't the sweet mayonnaise style that most people don't enjoy. It was so good! The collard greens were perfectly flavored and tender! I couldn't have done better myself. The beans were sweet but also savory. Not super sweet, which makes me happy. Very well balanced. The server was super friendly and nice. She explained everything to us and made sure we were happy. They have a bar with various beers. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Very casual but perfect for BBQ. Pictured is a "half pound of brisket" for $23.00 and 60%-70% of it is just inedible fat! What was edible (3.4 ounces), was honestly disgusting and looks nothing like the photos they show online, as you can see for yourself. $11.00 for a cup of sour smelling banana pudding that was immediately tossed in the trash. $4.00 for a "chicken breast" that was literally 2 bites... This is the second and last time we will ever order from them again. I have never been more disappointed in an order of food in my entire life. We spent over $70 for the brisket as shown, a small salad with 2 bites of chicken, soggy coleslaw and sour banana pudding. Beyond unacceptable! Never again and truly hope this saves someone else from the disappointment that Reverend's BBQ truly is. Complete waste of money! Edit: It has been about 45 minutes since I ate what little of the brisket that was actually meat and not just fat, and I am extremely nauseous. Not worth the money, disappointment or naseau. Just looking at the photo alone, I wonder why I even tried eating it. Absolutely disgusting.
