Sales personnel do not treat buyers equally. I came in as an all cash buyer and they effectively ran me out the door during negotiations for some reason. Also, the salesperson I worked with lied and tried to pass off a used Mazda 6 as certified pre-owned when it was not. (This info was on the listing and we knew it-little did she know). If you look a certain way or are dressed a certain way, they will not give you a chance at this dealership. Run. read more

My 22 year old daughter was in Charlotte on a trip last week and her brakes sounded awful! She went to Keffer to get them checked and replaced. They told her that she needed over $6k done in repairs. She did $2600 of the repairs that they said needed to be done immediate that day for safety. They refused to take off the $200 diagnostic fee bringing her total to $2800. She came home this weekend and we took her car and the estimate from Keffer to our longtime mechanic. They did a full check and said that the only thing that needed to be done of the remaining $3500 repair estimate was a new air filter. Cody, at Keffer also said her rear brake pads were in backwards and needed to be replaced and lubricated for $200.88. The brake pads are, in fact, not on backwards! This dealership totally took advantage of a young 22 year old girl!! Do not use the service department at this dealership. They have very shady practices!! read more

I purchased a Mazda six 2020 that had 10,000 miles on it in 2021. I have completed all of the recommended maintenance everything that has been asked of me to keep the car in great condition. The transmission started having issues which was covered by the warranty. A year later, the transmission continue to have issues, but I guess since the warranty was no longer valid, I was expected to pay to fix the repair from the previous warranty fix. The car is also having an oil leak which requires an extensive amount of money to fix. Do not come to this location, no one cares about the money that you've already invested. They only want to sell you or trade in your car. read more

The car purchase experience was great, but what's followed since has made me regret doing business with Keffer Mazda. I purchased a 2023 CX-5, and it's been a great vehicle. However, the incessant phone calls asking if I'm interested in selling my car are beyond annoying. I have been asking them for over a year to remove me from their contact list, but the calls continue. Some are automated, some are an actual person. The automated calls seem to automatically end the call before you answer, and they go to voicemail, leaving an annoying message talking about a sales promotion, blah blah blah. The calls are so frequent, they borderline on harassment. I have asked time and time again for it to stop, but it doesn't. It is so frequent and harassing, I regret EVER associating myself with this dealership. I have bought cars in 4 other states, and this is the ONLY one that contacts me. Do not buy a vehicle here if you expect to go about your life without frequent "promotional" calls. Also, it's a different number each time, so you can't just block these clowns. I've told them to stop calling me and sending letters about trade ins and to this day I STILL get automated calls and letters from these people regarding trading in my car. I block the numbers, but still get the calls from new numbers. It's so fucking obnoxious. Don't buy a car here unless you want to be harassed years later by these people. My brother did not want this car and was told it was a "deal". Today he went to the dealership to discuss a fuel leak after only having the car for less than 90 days. I bought a new CX-5 today from Keffer Mazda. It was one of the best experiences that I've ever had with a dealership. Honest price and great buying process/experience. I almost didn't go to Keffer because some of the negative ratings. I asked the the sales rep about some of them and it turns out that most of them happened under a former GM who is no longer employed at Keffer. This company has been contacting me constantly about buying my car at top value. I already did a Kelly Blue Book value on the car so I know the value; and no I didn't put excellent condition but it is in very good condition with low mileage and a lot of extra features such as; radar cruise control and lane assist etc. They proceeded to list the car as a "fair" condition and offered me $16,000 for a car that has the value of 21,000 according the KBB. They listed it as a manual transmission as well as leaving off numerous extra features to drive the price down in hopes that I would not notice. Old tactics still at play. I called for a specific car and was told it would be brought around front and ready for me to test drive when I arrived. When I showed up I was told the car was out but I could test drive another car. When I returned from the test drive of the car I didn't want, the sales person admitted the car was never on site. That's right. They thought it was a good idea to lie in order to get me on the lot. I had a MAJOR issue about their so called $3,000.00 for their package they claim to put on all cars prior to selling and to see others complain about the exact same thing, OMG, I am not the only one. They definitely don't tell you that in the very beginning and its not even optional and for them to day, this package is common at most dealership within a 500 mile radius......LIES LIES LIES. How do I know this you asked, simple, I visited 3 other dealership within the 500 mile radius of this dealership within 48 hours and NONE of them even had such mandatory package. They are very very misleading. And of course, the famous manager or supervisor named MEET, I would never ever recommend anyone to do business with him let alone the dealership. To be told by him, WELL YOU DON'T HAVE TO BUY THE CAR, when I am making a point about their failure to disclose the $3000 fee and this is how I was treated. Whoever oversees this place, YOU NEED TO STOP TACKING ON A MANDATORY $3,000.00 FEE for some car protection. This should be an optional product. THANK GOD we did not purchase anything from this place. Going to someone else for the exact same vehicle with the exact same options, much lower mileages and better price with no hidden mandatory fees was the best decision made. I've been trying for over two months to cancel my extended warranty and service plan, but every time I ask, they tell me it's been canceled and to wait a few weeks. After my problems with my broken AC in my 2008 XC90 Volvo that may have occurred during my recent visit at Keffer Mazda, I returned and spoke with the Service Manager, Mr. Mavromatis. I explained what I believed happened. Mr. Mavromatis very kindly agreed to take a look. He then told me that there was in fact a Freon leak. They fixed the leak and refilled the AC. It took about an hour and my car was repaired. Keffer Mazda did this at no cost to us. I wish to commend them for having resolved my problem with speed and kindness. I wish to recommend them for any service you may need on your vehicle whether it is a Mazda or not. read more

Ive leased a car from this dealership with a contingency I get free oil changes, however that has never been honored by them. (other dealerships offer you free oil changes, free wash any time you go there and many other perks) Secondly I've tried to refer a friend to lease from these guys and they offered prices that are astronomically higher than advertised on the MAZDAUSA, which is ridiculous. Our daughter and her partner had not ever bought a car by themselves. I am sure that when they arrived at the dealership, the salesperson quickly knew he had some "fresh meat." Well, they were at the dealership from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm, two hours after closing. For hours they were bombarded with add-ons, strange charges and so forth, making a $24,000 used car now $29,000. I have bought many cars and understand the "drill" that every salesperson is expected to follow. However, in this case, the sales and finance people were beyond dishonest, very aggressive, and tried to take full advantage of these two smart, wonderful 30 year olds. They ended up buying the car but now have a horrible opinion of Keffer Mazda as well as all :traditional" dealerships. Its off to Carmax next time. Another bad rating for this dealership, but something tells me they don't care. My daughter gave a deposit on a specific vehicle, the receipt for which we have. We informed both the salesperson and the manager Antonio that we had to wait two weeks for all our credit improvement steps to reflect with the three credit bureaus. "No problem!" We were repeatedly told. We asked many questions before giving the hold deposit and told them we were going out of town the next day for a week. The manager told us to have a good time, he was going to Florida as well. That night I look at the receipt and I notice the miles on the receipt we were given that had the VIN number of the car on it did not match what I took a picture of after we test drove it. (Receipt said 2 miles, car said 36.) I text the salesperson to put the correct miles on the receipt. He makes the changes and sends us a corrected invoice and purchase agreement. Monday I get a call from manager Antonio, (4 days after we were in the dealership), wanting to know why we haven't bought the car yet. Huh? We are out of town for a week and we told you we were coming back with the rest of our down payment in two weeks. He gives me some nonsense about company policy but I point out that the purchase agreement has no timeline on it and we couldn't have been more clear about coming back in 2 weeks and repeatedly asked if the car would be held and they assured us it would be. Yesterday, salesperson Isaac texts me to tell me that a brand new red cx30 was being delivered and did we want to test drive. "No thanks, we will stick with the one we put a deposit on." Needless to say, they sold the car we put a deposit on and signed a purchase agreement for. BREACH OF CONTRACT. Seriously, this dealership needs staff that actually has integrity because from what I can see, there is none. Avoid. read more

BUYERS BEWARE- DECEPTION ALERT *** just in case you don't read all of this** JUST DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE... attitude when you uncover the shenanigans of the salespeople and finance manager. I flew in to help my daughter purchase HER VERY FIRST vehicle... walked into this dealership and dealt with Keema who bragged about selling more cars than her male coworkers in the dealership but also let us know that two of the finance managers were fired in recent weeks so everyone is scrambling( initial red flag ignored) manager currently working on another deal we were told then he will crunch our numbers of which we requested be done while on test drive so we could move the pre approval process along. They wanted to know credit score, what payment amount, what interest rate the bank gave us.... all irrelevant. Go pull the pre approval and let's get this show on the road we were thinking She mentioned in jest the manager drinking in office... we all chuckled... after which manager comes out and ironically begins talking about doing shots. Asked Keema what we get for buying a car from them and she said scratch removal, replacement key and an oil change... ok great. Now we get into the fact that we saw a car, came pre approved from our bank but yet you tryna force us to do an application with Mazda finance..why? So we refused. We were baffled because we knew all of that coming in to the dealership being very transparent. As we plug along in the process we wanted to test drive on our own... manager comes out and sits and gives us a talk about why it's best for salesperson to come with. We all take test drive. After I noticed several several scratches and asked salesperson who tried to skirt around the subject.....we could tell car had not been detailed. Only to find out in the 11th hour that it has not been through that process... was traded in and placed on the lot.... we asked salesperson. THREE times before numbers presented to us .. what about the scratches????? and basically detail department not even open so we were trying to figure out how they expected us to leave with a dirty car and how the detail department handled the buffing out and touch up paint. The manager said if we buy the car he will put it through detail if not then not sure when it will go through. That made zero sense to us. We were moments away from signing the deal and the car sitting on the lot not in being made presentable for the customer????? Ridiculous!!! Now picture this: Low and behold there is an erroneous $1535 fee on paperwork they literally sped past.. I asked what it was for at least three times and sure enough it was for the SCRATCHES, keys and oil change ....salesperson said we would get from the dealer. Go figure. As manager tells salesperson to bring car around she rolls her eyes (noticed by all) and goes for the vehicle of which she speeds into garage area. We all walk out and manager is speaking about deep scratches and the process of detailing.. salesperson must have thought after the 3 hours we were there that would be a good time to say: "someone else is buying the car the next day so basically we either buy then (last night) or risk someone else having purchased it before the next day." If you could have seen the look on the managers face and watched him try to clean up her mistaken comment.-priceless. So we decided to come home and think about it. Wake up to research car and dealer and we come across several negative car buying reviews and a story on deceptive car selling practices including a pending lawsuit from 2021. Hence the reason why staff were terminated. So that was more than enough for my daughter to say we should absolutely NOT deal with this dealership... not to mention the fact that you had charges on our dealer paperwork we did not authorize. Buying a car sucks. But coming here was actually a good experience for me. The dealership is clean and neat. I don't like pushy salespeople, so thankfully I didn't feel annoyed with the people here! I came for a CX5 and I left with one! It took about 3-4 hours, just for some last minute details. Not really anyone's fault. I'm new to credit, but they worked with me and gave me what I needed. Even one of the managers stepped in to get me the best possible option. My sales guy was Sonny, he was very nice and gave a fantastic presentation. Seemed like he paid attention in training! Granted the conversations that were brought up that weren't about the vehicle were too personal for my taste, and a couple weeks after I bought the car, I got a survey I through email to fill out and I did mention the salesman should have been much more appropriate with the conversations. Then, when I went to pick up my tag & registration, the same salesman approached me and confronted me about it! That was very uncomfortable, gave me some anxiety. I purchased a pre owned Range Rover from this dealership. The car fax and auto trader lead me to find this vehicle in Huntersville North Carolina. Miles was low and the Range Rover was in excellent condition. I drove 2 hours to test drive and buy this vehicle. Once I got to dealership it was an awful experience. The sales manager was rude Robert Sajdak. I had to walk out dealership. After leaving I received several phone calls to come back so that they can make things right. I did go back the next day and of course he never came near me. Now I'm revisiting the dealership to have my RR service and I have experience another incident. They leave my sunroof open during a thunderstorm. The service manager quickly shifts the blame on me!!! I never parked the car, they did. I left the car with the dealership. All the water has been vacuumed out but my car smells and I'm having electrical issue on the dashboard. I have called and left messages about what's happening and I haven't received any response from anyone. I would not recommend anyone to go to Keffer Mazda in Huntersville NC!!!! read more

Terrible experience buying a new car. If I could give 0 stars, I would. I purchased a new vehicle from this dealership. I live a couple of hours away and drove there to buy the car. I was supposed to receive 2 sets of keys per my contract. Unfortunately, they were only able to supply one set at the time of purchase but promised they'd send the 2nd set by mail. They didn't. After repeated calls I was told that the "offer" of 2 sets of keys expired after 90 days. So now I'm going to go to a different dealer and pay $300 for that set of keys I was promised. Walked in to buy a used $14,400 car, I offered $14,000 and they said they are like CarMax they don't take offers, I was like okay sure. The manager brought back the final price and the $14,400 car turned into a $19,700 car within 5 minutes (like magic!). Told them I didn't want the "Keffer Experience" package (2 grand) and they added it anyway, they also were charging $780 for some random "Prep/non tax fee" . We were told the price and that it was still available. We told them we'd be making a 3.5hr drive to look at it and they said they'd have it ready. After making the drive, we tested the car and all was well; Until we asked to purchase it. THEY TRIED TO PUT $3,100 OF EXTRA FEES INTO THE PRICE. None of that was mentioned online, unless you can interpret what a "*dealer fees may apply" means. Not including a $799 doc fee, you know because documents cost that much. And they tried to sell it as 'dealer installed services" that were already on the vehicle and couldn't be removed. It wasn't even a mazda bro, what could you possibly be adding? "THEFT PROTECTION" was part of the cost, funny because THE DEALERSHIP WAS BROKEN INTO 3 DAYS PRIOR AND HAD 5 CARS STOLEN! BRUH. The entire operation seems like a big scam. I went in for an online advertised used 2018 CX-9. Oddly enough it wasn't on the lot because the owner was using it. I was informed this happens a lot. So I wasn't even able to look at the car in person and here comes the parade of "what do we need to do to get you in this car today!?" Really!? I haven't even seen the dang thing. I was also told they were having a sales completion so they were really willing to work with me. Perhaps a sales competition isn't the best way to manage sales people when customers are made to feel uncomfortable and bullied.
