Service has been quick and efficient. I really like how the service technician will send a video overview of your car after the service is completed. Customer service is great, very patient when I have a million questions. The only thing I wish dealerships would stop doing is charging so darn much for services I can get for less elsewhere. But...that's how it goes. There's a great waiting room area with flatscreen tvs, a coffee/tea area, plushy seating and bathrooms are always clean. And....they do state inspections! I visited this dealership while searching for a reliable vehicle for myself and my four children. I came in simply looking for help finding something affordable within my budget, not a brand new luxury vehicle. From the beginning, I made it clear that I was only interested in something realistic for my financial situation. Unfortunately, my experience with the finance manager, Jeffery Austin, was extremely upsetting and degrading. Rather than treating me with respect and professionalism, he made hurtful and discriminatory comments, stating that he was "tired of single mothers coming in trying to purchase cars they cannot afford." What made the situation even worse was that he refused to properly show or explain the breakdown of pricing to me. Instead of listening to what I was asking for, he assumed I wanted a brand new vehicle and proceeded to belittle my situation. At no point was I asking for something unrealistic. I simply wanted guidance and help finding a dependable car for my family. The way I was spoken to was humiliating. I already have enough going on in my personal life, and to be treated this way while trying to provide transportation for my children was heartbreaking. I left the dealership in tears, feeling embarrassed, insulted, and honestly made to feel less than human. If I could not afford a particular vehicle, that would have been completely understandable. What was not acceptable was the complete lack of compassion, professionalism, and basic human decency shown toward me during this interaction. I came to this dealership expecting kindness, respect, and professionalism, but instead I left feeling mortified and emotionally distressed. No customer should ever be treated this way for simply asking for help. I will be reaching out to corporate regarding this experience and requesting that this matter be taken seriously. I truly hope management addresses how customers are spoken to so that no other person, especially a parent trying to care for their family, has to go through what I experienced. The service advisor was nice and making the appointment was easy but,I have issue with the technician lying about the time to complete a job. There is no way possible for an experienced, trained and certified technician to take 1.5 hours to replace ONE GASKET. The bracket has two screws and there are two electrical connectors to disconnect, remove the item, clean the area, replace the gasket and reinstall. That does Not make any sense when your trained, experienced and certified technician claims it will take him 1.5 hours to replace the gasket but these other services require more time and parts cost more. 1. Transmission fluid service - $152 2. Coolant service - $240 3. Replacing six spark plugs - $210 Those three services are fair prices but, to Install Vtec solenoid gasket - $402!! Purchased a certified preowned from this dealership. Initially, the buyer process was easy and the staff was very accommodating. Communication was quick and got through the process fast/easy. After the purchase, all I got were ghosts. Had to take the car into a Acura dealer 4-5 times in less than 6 months with 2 of them being oil leaks. Can't support a dealer that doesn't back their product in the long run. Certified cars you pay extra to not have a headache. I'm not sure if their inspection processed was flawed or what the issue was, but multiple things were missed. I would recommend a different Acura dealership in the area that is not Hendricks. read more

Buy a car can be a headache from finding the right model to the right brand. But sometimes after you found the car, the salesman will push you to buy or they just care about the sales. Not the case here, I had a great experience with Jim. Jim is very personable and care about his customers ( should I say customers I felt like I made a friend). He went above and beyond to take care of our family. After test driving three cars within two weeks, we finally settled with the Integra. While in the middle of the week deciding what to buy, he sent us an email with more choices. I am happy to buy a car from Jim and his team at Hendricks Acura. Hands down love the Hendrick Acura dealership off Independence! While still under warranty I prefer to take my RDX into the dealership, and this dealership has a lot of great service based & shopping based offerings. Since when I purchased my first Acura back in 2014, to today, I'd say they are one of the more advanced service centers I've been to (having lived in Texas, Georgia, Illinois, and Virginia). I love the video/virtual guides with each service center appointment, the text conversation (either via SMS or iMessage) with their service department, or customer support teams. Not to mention, waiting on-site at the service center is a breeze as I have access to high-speed Wi-Fifi, opportunities to shop around at (maybe) my next Acura purchase, and getting real-time updates via the aforementioned services. I'd highly recommend this service center, dealership, and Acura as a whole! Just need Acura to get electric vehicles and I'll probably be ready for my next vehicle purchase! :) read more

Honestly, my experience trying to establish communication with this dealership was a pure nightmare. The back and forth was utterly frustrating and disheartening for someone to get me in contact with the Parts Department via email. Long story short I was able to hear back from Freddie in parts. He was able communicate with me and confirm what I was looking for. Some days later Paul, who I believe is the manager, called to apologize for the previous situation. I'm assuming my unhappy experience finally made it to him. He told me to come in and they would make the situation right for me as the customer. I arrived on a Wednesday after work and got to meet and speak with Freddie in person. He was very welcoming, friendly, and informative. My trust was restored based on how I was treated. If I was able to give negative or zero stars I would. Over a month of owning the car and still I do not have my tag. Temp tag expires 4/9/2024 and when calling them all I get is excuses on how it's someone else's fault. This situation falls in line with the whole experience of purchasing a car from them to, speaking to different people from the same location that gives different answers to the same question. People never know what the other person has done which means the excuses is always passed down to the next person. From shipping a car to a customer without a tag on it to giving false info about warranties, to not supplying the correct paper work, to not handing the situation before it becomes a situation. Pretending to provide "great customer service" when all that is being done is redirecting the problems to someone else. From speaking to Ryan, Adam, Charles, Adham, now today I'll add a new name "Steve (Steven) . Now don't be surprised if following my negative review there's going to be about a quick 5-10 positive reviews. Reviews for something as simple as "hey got my oil change here, nice people" We won't even take about the "brand new wheel locks that they charge you almost 200 for to only Find out that the once I have on my car not even knew and no wheel lock key in the car. Charge you over 100 for "life time Nitrogen air" to a customer who lives over 2 hours away from the nearest dealership. Fees that add and tell you at the very end of the contract. I will be posting more once I get all the phone calls and emails together with will show the conflicting conversations and excuses. I bought a 2020 certified Acura MDX a couple of weeks ago. I questioned the tread life on two of the tires. The salesman said it passed certification. I had the tires checked out when I got back to my local tire shop. They said the tires had less than 50% of tread life. These tires should have never passed certification as I expected. I could tell this dealership and service center definitely cares about customer service as I received the best from Keith. I normally feel like service centers try to recommend services I don't really need, but I was pleasantly surprised that that was not the case at Hendrick Acura. My car was serviced quicker than the wait time I was told (less than 90 minutes) and was shining when I picked it up, as they gave it a wash at the end of service. I took in my acura for major repairs to the tune of $3,800. I was given a loaner, got a call the next day that other repairs were needed. I was told one part was $500!! and the other one about $250 - does not include labor. I asked how would the car run without these 2 other parts. The answer was something like "well, it will run better but it won't be perfect." I called them back after thinking about this and told them to leave it alone since I would pick it up. He then says "well, would you consider paying an extra $200 and make the total $4,000 instead of $3,800, I will work the numbers." ??? Thinking he was really trying to help me and being in shock, I agreed. He called the next day to tell me the car was all ready. I'm so glad I said "and what's the total again?" - he said $4,500!!!!!! After I picked myself up off the floor I said "that is NOT what you told me yesterday! (listen to the taped recording I'm sure you'll find it) His response was "what did I tell you yesterday?" - "you told me $4,000!!" He said "ok, let me work the numbers again . I go pick it up the next day and the total was $3,800 - the original price. What on earth? Well, the car is still not perfect, still shakes which leaves me to conclude they didn't do any extra work at all and they still tried to get an extra $700!! NEVER AGAIN. When I was sent an email for a review i decided "why, you really think I trust you now?" I took my Acura to a dealer in California when I lived there and was never treated like this. They explain the issue and options in a friendly helpful way. As a Midwest gal I am not sure if this is a southern thing or just a great place. On a Sunday night I was scrolling online looking for a car after being in an accident. By Monday afternoon I was driving my "new" certified pre-owned 2021 Acura home. Personally I'd shop elsewhere many other Acura's around just because they're the only Acura in the metro doesn't mean you can't shop around. So, when I needed to replace my car, I knew that it would be the first place to visit when I went car shopping. I was put in touch with salesman JB Tillery, and he was really helpful. He went over almost every option with me and explained in detail how all the new functions of my new RDX works. It is extremely safe and very roomy, and Acuras are known for lasting a long time. I honestly look forward to getting our oil changes here because of their great customer service.
