I cannot say enough GREAT things about my experience with the team at Huntersville Ford. We started our search working with 4 Ford dealerships and 2 Nissan dealerships as we navigated our remote vehicle purchasing journey. We ultimately decided to go with Ford and located a particular F-150 at Huntersville Ford's website. I originally reached out online, speaking with Alycia who was kind enough to talk to me about my wants, needs, and my concerns around social-distancing amid the COVID-19 pandemic. She introduced me to Angelica who further helped me understand the pricing on the particular vehicle I was interested in; she, too, was very helpful and friendly. For much of the buying-process I worked directly with Eric Basiliere who was amazing. Eric and I went back and forth over email and phone for several days as I asked a million questions. I am sure I asked more questions than most customers, but Eric and his team never made me feel like an inconvenience and were always quick to respond. I had quite a few questions I needed answered (this was my first truck purchase, so I required a lot of education on the features), and even more requests around pricing, financing, trade-in, delivery, etc. Once we agreed on a price and our trade-in, he introduced me to Michael, the finance manager. Michael ran my credit through their most competitive in-house banks/financiers and was able to get me a phenomenal APR along with the available Ford rebate and sales price. When we came down to the final steps, I reiterated my sincere need to complete the process as safely as possible. I'm very high risk for COVID-19, and was not prepared to go for a test drive, let alone go into a dealership and sit in an office filling out paperwork. Eric & Michael handled as much as they could remotely/virtually and honored my medical needs. Once it was time to finalize the process, Eric was generous with his time and drove the truck to our home late on a Friday afternoon! My husband and I signed the final required paperwork (outside, distance was respected, and masks were worn by all), and Eric stayed an extra hour to 'onboard' my husband - to show him all the features of the truck in-person, to help him connect to the FordPass app, and to walk him through everything. All of this was not only late (after most/normal work hours), but outside in hot and humid weather. Overall, Eric and his team were INCREDIBLE! My husband and I have purchased 2 high dollar vehicles from Huntersville Ford. We had a great purchasing experience both times. Unfortunately, that is where our good experience ended. We bought the extended warranty on the 2nd vehicle. We ended up trading in that vehicle (at a different dealership) and we requested a refund from Huntersville Ford on the remainder of the extended warranty that was paid off. From the very beginning, we could not get anyone to contact us or return our messages. I finally got in touch with one of the sales managers, Joe Tamburello, who emailed me and apologized for the lack of communication with his team and told me what they needed to get the ball rolling on the refund. I was told it would take 8-12 weeks. Fast forward 12 weeks. We still had not received the refund (over $4,000). I emailed Joe and he contacted his team and told me it would be another 2 weeks. So, 2 weeks later, I reached out again to Joe. They still had not received the refund check. We have received these type of checks before and it has NEVER taken 14+ weeks. After him going back and forth, he reached out to me via a phone call and apologized (I won't bore you with the details), but he said the dealership would go ahead and cut a check and overnight it to us. By this time, we had already decided to never do business with them again. Service is great as long as you are buying, but when it comes to a refund, that is when you have issues. Joe again apologized and informed me that if we give them another chance to earn our business, he would do this and that and he would handle things personally and we would be given the VIP treatment. So, fast forward 7-10 days. My husband is looking to buy a truck. So, he decided to contact Joe via email about 2 trucks that he found online. Communication was slow and then Joe told my husband he would pass him over to one of the sales guys. My husband only wanted Joe to handle this because we were supposed to be getting the VIP treatment from him personally. A lot of back and forth happened via email and he kept getting jerked around. My husband was upfront where he needed to be as far as price, but instead of just saying no, we can't do that, they continued going back and forth. At one point, Joe told my husband he had given him his best price. So, my husband was going to think about it over the weekend and then noticed on Monday that the price dropped by $1 on the website. So, the price given to us was really not their best price and no one even called or emailed to let us know about the price decrease. I then emailed Joe personally to let him know our dissatisfaction with our supposedly VIP treatment. I was given a lot of apologies and excuses. I then just asked point blank, here is where we need to be, can you get us there. Yes or no. He then said he could not. Which, at this point, we were okay with that because we did not want to do business with them especially since this was the "VIP" treatment. I'd hate to see the Non-VIP treatment. It is sad that after buying multiple high dollar vehicles from them, this is the thanks we get. Lack of communication is a major issue with these guys. Most sales people would be jumping through hoops to do everything they could to earn our business and to sell a vehicle. Evidently, they don't need the sales that badly. 2020 ford ranger 30,000 mile I needed a used car inspection for extended warranty requirement. I informed the quick lube adviser that I would need the proper work for Zigluar extended warranty. This alerted him I would not be using this dealership. I was per warned there reputation. They fail the inspection for as hoses. There's is nothing wrong with any hose on this low mileage vehicle. Received a text qoute for 738 usd to repair this item. I declined because being an aircraft maintenance technician by trade I knew this was repercussions from my letting them know I would not be using there extended warranty insurance They gave me the paperwork knowing it was not complete for the required documentation for Ziegler insurance. I cannot recommend this dealership due to a severe lack of communication and poor customer service. I contacted them in July 2025 regarding a warranty cancellation refund after trading in my truck. For months, I was passed around to multiple sales members who eventually stopped taking my calls and would not reply to my emails. It took until January--six months later--for a check to finally be issued, and even then, it was sent to the wrong address. It is clear that this dealership only prioritizes you when they are pitching a vehicle. Once the deal is done, you are on your own. Highly disappointed. read more

I went there today for the Memorial Day sale and I was walking around the whole lot looking at their inventory waiting on someone to approach me and ask if I needed or wanted see a vehicle but they didn't even attempt to approach me. They need to have better customer service training and not being afraid of asking people because I was interested in two preowned vehicles on their lot. I've been going to Huntersville Ford approximately four years and have seen improvements in the services. One of their programs came to my house and picked up my vehicle for service. My most recent appointment, I brought the vehicle to the dealership and really needed to get home to complete work instead of sitting around waiting. Their service vehicle was out I believe, and they scheduled an Uber to take me back to my house. EXTREMELY IMPORTANT! My review is directed at the incompetent and unorganized leadership at Huntersville FORD. If you hold ANY leadership position at Huntersville Ford, you are the useless incompetent employees I'm talking about. I attempted to utilize your "QUICK LANE" services this morning for a BASIC AND SIMPLE oil change, but NOTHING about my visit was QUICK or SIMPLE! And I attribute that to poor leadership who hasn't the slightest clue on how to prioritize work! Or perhaps like most places of work, they're short staffed due to BAD MANAGEMENT! I cannot fathom ANY situation or circumstance where a customer wanting an oil change should wait more than 2 hours. In my case I arrived at approximately 1015 for a BASIC and SIMPLE oil change, but apparently it was too much for LEADERSHIP to handle. At NO TIME did any employee approach me to provide customer service on the status and delay of my vehicle. They just IGNORED ALL customers in the waiting area, just as I expect from INCOMPETENT leadership. Finally, after over 2 hours of waiting and my vehicle still in the SAME location that I parked it 2 hours earlier, I decided I've had enough of WASTING my life away at the incompetent Huntersville Ford. I jumped in my car and drove away. But not before having some words with a kind young man who was explaining to me to process of making an appointment and some slow times throughout the day. Salesman Ryan Larocque listed a 2022 maverick and I messaged him to buy it. It went from $26995.00 to $28995.00 to $29999.00 now $30,883.00 plus tax and crazy fees to $35,000.00. He did try to take advantage of a customer. How is this not a scam? I called the dealership and have not heard back from anyone. He then changed the price on marketplace 2 times as we were discussing things. I am including screenshots of all of this. I hope Huntersville Ford steps up and does the right thing and sells me the truck for $26995.00 plus tax and title fees. Not adding on extra stuff I don't need or want. I went to service my 2024 ford mustang at huntersville ford because I needed new tires and I wasnt going to buy their 2000$ set when I can get them for 400$ and they are the same online lol.... So I bring my car in to get them put on, and the kid aligns my car like they do everyday.... well.... he puts the alignment all thwacked out so it completely ruins my tires so Ill have to come back to the tire shop and buy more is the only thing im thinking........ So I get it fixed by randy Marion of Statesville and the kid puts a nice -2.5 toe on the rear side so it shaves that one down too and pulls all over the road. I guess the reason why they are doing these things to loyal customers is because they cant sell cars? Im not sure.... but regardless im upset with all the dealers... My son went to your location yesterday afternoon and attempted to purchase a 2016 WRX. The salesperson was extremely unprofessional when I "challenged" his pricing matrix on the phone. Dealerships like this really gives car dealers a bad name. They had an advertised price of $22,988 which was a decent price since the car being sold had reported repaired front end accident damage. We certainly expected to pay tax and tags. We were told the total was going to be over $26,000. When I challenged this we were told there was a $900 doc fee, which is fairly common place nowadays, and a $1000 paint/interior protection package (which everyone knows these are BS) We were considering paying the doc fee, which was very high for a used car; but, there was no way we would ever pay a paint/interior add-on for a used car. This would be insane. "Protecting" a 7 year old car??? After my son left the dealership (which is a name they do not deserve) we went online and purchased a newer comparable WRX from Carvana (that had no accident damage) very easily and no one had to get upset with all the BS. Their loss. Huntersville Ford's future is questionable providing sales the way you are doing. I personally will never consider this dealership in the future and will definitely purchase from Carvana, which provided free delivery, a 7 day no questions asked return policy, and a 100 day warranty. Came to huntersville ford to bring a key with remote start in to be cut in programmed. Had to wait an hour plus. Which wasn't the problem. Waited a hour plus and paid 120 dollars just to receive my key back to realize that the remote start buttons does not work on the key. I went back to the guy working the quick lane desk just to be told "we don't have someone that could program the key for that" and that I would have to come back another day and pay even more just to figure out why it doesn't work. I just don't understand how the technician that programmed the key can't program the remote start button on the same key. Eric Basiliere contacted me and even sent me a personalized video of the interior and exterior of my truck. We were in Florida on vacation, and we did everything online and via telephone. When I returned from vacation, I drove to NC and signed for my new F250!! Best dealership ever. I will do business with them for a long time!! It seems to me that the only way to get this dealership to respond is to use social media and reviews. I am not asking for free stuff, I just want the problem fixed. To start, the buying process was easy. We looked online, liked what we saw, asked about it, scheduled a test drive and bought it. They even found better financing for us on NYE. (I didn't like the fine print for their online pricing but it was clear and I missed it.) The good ends there. Before leaving, we were told the plate would be sent to the dealership and upon receipt would be overnighted to us. I received several emails begging for a 5-star review. After receiving one on 1/19/23, I responded asking about our plate and received a text stating it had not arrived. A little off putting but you can't make a state DMV rush, right? Imagine the surprise on 1/23/23 when we got a property tax bill (that didn't happen with the last car we bought until the following year.) In addition, the bill stated that the registration and plate were a "limited registration" and would expire on 3/31/23 if not paid. What plate, we have not received it yet? More shocking was that one of the names on the property tax bill wasn't mine. They registered my husband and another customer to our car. I tried to call the dealership. After being sent to voicemail several times, a receptionist collected my information and said she would send everything over to Gina, the title clerk. Since I had positive prior communication via text, I sent a message. It was terse but to the point. I text that apparently the title clerk screwed up, also making it clear that it was no wonder the plates haven't arrived because the car was improperly registered. They responded, "They told me that everything was fixed and they would mail out the plate. Overnight it." After a back and forth, they asked if I would like to have one of the finance managers call me. Ahmed, called me moments later and explained that the taxes and fees collected during financing cover the sales taxes and that we would have to pay the property taxes. HMM, OK?? I asked why the car was incorrectly registered. He assured me that he would look into the situation and call me back. 30 mins later, Gina called. She said she received the plates, was aware of the issue and was fixing it. (The text I received said the issue was fixed.) She assured me she was on top of it and it would take 24-48 hours to fix. She promised to call ASAP with info and to get the plate and registration to us. She wanted to make sure the plate wouldn't need to change before she sent it. She got our numbers again. I expressed my concern for the error and told her I work out of state a lot. She said she would take care of everything. Thursday 1/26/23, I called the dealership for an update. I left a message. Gina returned my call later and said she was still waiting on a response from DMV. I reminded her the temp tags expire on 1/30/23. I asked if another temp tag could be issued and was told no. She did say that if the tag expired to make sure the purchase paperwork was in the car and explain the situation if the police pulled us over. She told me she would have it fixed in 24-48 hours. Monday 1/30/23, I tried to contact the dealership but was passed around. I left several messages without result. I finally reached Brenda in reception at 6:41PM. She told me that Gina and her boss, Stacy, were gone for the day but she would text them so they were aware I called. She also told me she worked with them the next day and would ensure someone returned my call. I gave her the number. Tuesday 1/31/23, still no return call. We have tried and no one will take our call, in some cases no one even speaks we just end up in a voicemail box that hangs up. To make it worse, DMV and the county tax office said they have received nothing to fix the error. Both referred me to the local tag office with hopes they can help. Our local officers have instructed us not to drive the car. The registration is expired. Sadly, I have a new two-ton paperweight sitting in my driveway. read more

Took our car to get serviced. 1 tire was needed replaced takes an hour and a half to put on new tire, place back spare tire in vehicle. After all said and done a total of 1 hour and 45 minutes ; walk out and find tire lube all over rim and no decency to wipe it. Dealer doesn't care clearly. I took my 2015 Ford F-150 in because the alarm started going off in the mid of the night for no reason. They informed me that there would be $120 diagnostic charge, which I can understand because people may choose not to do the repair then do it themselves or find a cheaper place to take it. They informed me that the hood latch needed to be replaced, I asked them how much was the latch, they told me the cost was $143.88 plus labor and that they had the part in stock. I told them to go ahead and fix it. When I arrived to pick the truck up, I was completely shocked at the $550.05 invoice. $120 Diagnostic fee $143.88 Latch $257.10 labor $29.07 tax $550.05 Total I asked for the service manager and showed him the invoice. He proceeded to info me that this repair was far more involved, and that the wiring plug for the hood latch had to be fished all the way back and that there was quite a bit of the grill that had to be taken apart to get at everything. I told him that I didn't believe him and that I wanted to see my old part. After some procrastination he said he would try to find it, but that the mechanic had already gone home. He returned with my old latch and I already knew it was simply 2 bolts and the wiring plug 2" away. I said how in the world can you justify $ 257.10 in labor plus $120 diagnostic fee. I know this would take no more than 5 minutes, but I understand if labor was broken down in 15min increments, but $377.10 no way. After debating with the service manager for 20 minutes, he said let me see what I can do for you. He came back 5 min later saying he was able to remove the diagnostic fee since he felt that's what I was most upset about. I was so pissed at this point I said that's fine, paid the $430.05 bill and told him that I will not be coming back. He never admitted that he was wrong and acted like he was doing me a favor. I normally never do reviews, but after my wife looked at the reviews and saw how bad they were I felt it was necessary. Hope this helps someone from not getting taken advantage of. read more

Very poor customer service from the service department. I was in need of a windshield replacement and they referred me to their 3rd party vendor that handles glass repair. Per Ford, the vendor would come on site to handle glass repair. The Ford representatives made a feeble phone call attempt to say "oh I guess they aren't open", which he would've known after a 10 second Google search but he was apparently too busy to do that even though I was the first customer through the door after getting there an hour 15 minutes prior to start. Now I can't find anywhere in the city to replace until AFTER the holiday, forcing me to adjust holiday travel plans at the last minute. Called to ask for referral or if they work on my 2014 Explorer XLT 2nd row captains seats. Seats will no longer fold down. Was told on phone that she wasn't sure they worked on seats but could schedule me for a diagnostic service. If they couldn't fix it, then they would refer me to a 3rd party. Glad I asked about cost and refund if found they didn't work on seats. $160 diagnostic fee even though she wasn't sure they even work on seats. Not refundable if referred to a 3rd party. Fee is applied if they do find that they work on seats, not if they don't and again, not refundable... You should know what your company can provide, don't charge your customers for what can't or may not be able to provide. We pay over 50K for these vehicles, you need to be better informed about your services and not charge the customers for you to learn... read more

Worst service experience ever!!! The transmission in my 2017 ford escape died so I had it towed to Huntersville ford. No communication or updates. They had my car for 6 weeks and I had to constantly call for updates and could hardly ever get a real person, only recordings and no call backs. When I did get someone they were not friendly at all. They have no loaner or rental cars so if you don't have a spare car you're out of luck. When my car was finally ready to pick up, they handed me the keys and did not tell me where in the whole lot it was. I had to ask them to bring the car to me and they acted like it was a hassle. I just picked up my 2009 Ford Edge today from getting an oil change. When I dropped the vehicle off, I let them know that my son would be driving the car to Florida next week and I wanted to make sure that it was safe. Well, that certainly made me an easy target! I received a text saying that all four tires need "Immediate Attention!" and that all needed to be replaced at the tune of $881.00. They were all in their so-called "red zone" meaning they needed immediate attention and that they were considered dangerous. I decided not to have them replaced at Ford since it would be less expensive to have them replaced elsewhere. I drove the car directly to a very well-know and reputable service center nearby and they told me that there was absolutely nothing wrong with the tires and that the tread in all four tires was very good. I then took the car to another very well-known service center for balancing and alignment because the first didn't have any available appointments for over a week and guess what, they told me the EXACT same thing! I'm so disgusted that Ford tried to SCAM me out of $881 for four new tires that I did not need. I will NEVER do business of any sort with their shop again! Shame on them. read more

My purchase experience at Huntersville Ford was sensational! I've visited at least a half dozen local and out of town Ford dealers over the past six weeks, and this one truly did earn my business. From my initial call with Brandon to his showing me various models and finding my dream truck, through negotiating with Keith, who answered all my questions clearly about how my particular deal would be structured, and then went over-the-top to get me the best terms from a local bank (WOWSA). All my concerns were addressed and at no time did I ever feel pressured. Even doing the final paperwork with Franklin was like sitting down with a relative. The closest Ford dealer to my house is 4 miles away, Huntersville Ford is more than 20, and it was well worth my time and effort. The service department may not be the most convenient for maintenance, but they've earned my trust and respect and I intend to continue doing business with them. I brought my 2018 ford explorer in on 4/5/21 to have the alternator replaced when the car stopped working out of town, we live and hour and a half away. My car was there for a week and I was told they were unable to locate a Ford alternator and an aftermarket one would need to be installed. I agreed. Upon pickup I was reassured multiple times that the car mechanically was fine and to ignore the alarms on the dash due to the aftermarket part. Less that 24 hours later, the car broke down on us again leaving me and my children stranded on the side on the road unable to get a tow. I would not recommend bringing your car here. I contacted Ford of Statesville and they had no problem ordering the correct Ford part the same day. So I was fed misinformation multiple times that put me and my childrens safety at risk. Went there for the entire duration of having my car to also get service (oil changes, etc) on it and also can only say good things. Best prices for oil changes for a mustang. Well, I do not know where to begin. I was charged over $425 including a 3.5% up charge for using a credit card. Who does that? Nobody but Huntersville Ford. The charges were for diagnostics for two issues which I declined to have you fix because of the outrageous costs for one. The other you the experts didn't find. After driving the car I found the problem still exists (temp gauge elevated). The entire time your people spent on my issues could not have been more than 1 hour (running my car to check the temp and removing two screws and looking behind the interior panel to find a broken cable (you wanted over $780 for a $15 part). I expect to pay some more to Huntersville Ford because of your overhead opposed to the local garage. But wow! I looked and reviews about you later (BBB and Yelp) and you should be ashamed. You did manage a few good reviews but the overwhelming reviews were ONE STAR! I do not know why I waste my time responding here because I truly believe Huntersville Ford pays NO attention to this feedback. Particularly since Huntersville Ford obviously can tell I will not be back. I was ripped off the last time I took my car to a Ford dealership before you. So there you go. I paid $10k over sticker for my 2022 F450 and added a front lift to the vehicle. The lift was done improperly and our alignment was not done. Now my two front tires are ruined and Huntersville told me to shove it after I asked to have them replaced! Spend $120k on a truck and get this treatment!!! Wow ! Never buy car here! read more

I have a Ford Fusion and had some open recalls. I called the office and spoke with Sydney in the service department and she was extremely polite and friendly. My appointment was scheduled and as time went on, I got my schedule mixed up and came in the day before my appointment. They were accommodating and allowed me to drop off the car even though my appointment wasn't for the next day. I cannot say enough good things about the experience I had. I used to use Huntersville Ford many years ago, but had bad experience after bad experience. I swore never to go back, but after I heard about a change in ownership, I stopped by in May and found a vehicle that was what I wanted. In the sales presentation, I was told that ALL of the oil changes would be free in their "Quick Lane". Today, I went by for my first oil change and was told that it would be 3-4 hours...yes, I said HOURS before my car would be ready. WOW, that to me is NOT a Quick Lane. I asked to speak to someone and Chett the Service Manager came out and said he was sorry, that it is usually 1-2 hours but it is a holiday week. He also said he didn't have enough help or bays to deal with the quantity of cars. So disappointed again, mostly with myself for actually believing that Huntersville Ford has changed. My advice...stay away for any servicing needs. BTW, my salesman is no longer there, seems they have a high turnover rate there too. read more

I was lied to when I purchased my F150. I have been treated poorly by every contact in customer service and the service department. The salesperson is a snake oil salesman! I WAS a happy customer of huntersville ford. I spoke their praises to everyone. That was until, after getting in an accident in my commercial vehicle, I found out that their salesman had sold me the wrong GAP policy and I was now responsible for 14,000 dollars. After 4 additional months out of work fighting with the dealership and the GAP company, I'm currently STILL out of work waiting for Stacey Cowan, the general manager, to "take care of it." At least that's what I was told before my van was put into collections. So now, I will now have to pay $2,200 out of my own pocket just to get back to work while Stacey Cowan, THE GENERAL MANAGER, continues to mislead me and drag his feet taking care of his own dealerships mistake. I highly recommend ford vehicles, but I will drive 500miles out of state to purchase my next commercial van before I ever step foot inside this deal ship again. NOT THE SERVICE A CUSTOMER DESERVES. I called 2 weeks ago to set up a visit to repair my driver side door handle--getting out of car a month ago, the door handle (inside) cracked and broke, it lost tension, and it was obvious the handle needed to be replaced. The first appointment was today August 1. When I made my appointment I asked how long it would take to repair--1.5 hours was what I was told. I arrived today. I waited a few minutes at quicklane and then was told oh, you have to check in inside. Neither service person was at their desk. Another 5 minutes later a service advisor came and I told him about my appointment. He asked if I was leaving the car. I said no, I was told on the phone it would take 1.5 hours to repair. He said I'd have to leave the car ALL day, they might not even have the part, and first they'd have to diagnose the problem. WHAT?! I pondered my options and was told the DIAGNOSIS (of my known broken handle) was $160--ok I said how about you figure out what you have to do, and once we get that figured out, I can decide what I'll do ahead. I was trying to cut my losses for the time and scheduling I had already put into place to come get my handle fixed. While waiting, about 30 minutes I decided to google broken F150 (2011) handle. A minute later, putting in the model, I found the part for $50 online. Then I googled how to replace a door handle on an F150 (2011 type models). It became apparent to me, everything I was being told was ridiculous. Diagnosis? I didn't tell you my car was making a funny noise; I told you the handle broke on the inside, the plastic piece cracked there is no diagnosis. It needs a new handle. So I went back to the advisor and said hey, I'm not comfortable staying here, what I was told on the phone is not what is happening--I want to take my vehicle and leave. Wait, wait, the tech is almost done, yeah he says your handle is broken. And we do have the part in stock ($115). How much to repair it? $600. WHAT? I'm not an auto mechanic, but I do have 25 years of schooling and training, the video I just watched, MAX, it shouldn't take over 1.5 hours to repair (what I was told when I called to make the appointment. What's the breakdown of $600--never fully got the answer, $115 for the part, tax, shop fees, labor.... Sorry, I'm taking my car. One of the managers, who was present for a lot of this discussion then said what do you think would be a fair price--I said my local guy I'm sure could do the whole thing for the most $300. Somehow, the manager, then said there was some kind of mistake on their estimate, they could do it for $361 (labor $246, part $115, + tax it was $391.12; it took another hour+ from that point, so my 1.5 hour quoted time was now 2.5 hours. So what went wrong? EVERYTHING. 1. customer asks how long it would take to fix handle, told 1.5 hours when scheduling; stick to what you tell the customer on the phone. 2. Don't tell someone with a broken handle you have to diagnose it for $160 3. Don't tell someone they have to leave their car all day to fix a handle which takes max 1.5 hours. 4. Be sure your phone people and service people are all on the same wave............even proposing to me (as the service counselor) that the obviously cracked handle needed to be diagnosed, this is how we do it here.......all ridiculous. Manager told me this is how the techs get paid........really, they get paid and you charge me $160 to tell me what I told you, that my handle is broken. 5. Don't lie to me and tell me that the door panel had to be taken off to diagnose the problem----later they told me the tech said he didn't take the panel off to see the broken handle. Of course, I told you it was broken. 6. Don't tell the customer the cost is $600, not even have a breakdown, then ask them to tell you what they think is fair, and then change the cost to roughly 1/2 the price you first quoted them. Very poor job today. And if you've read this far--other things that have happened with service at Huntersville Ford (which now I am never returning) 1. changed my transmission fluid, immediately after, transmission didn't work, your fluid change caused the torque converter to need replacement -- $2000 (fortunately under purchased extended warranty) 2. Left the oil cap off when oil was changed 3. Didn't screw the oil pan back on properly--was dragging on the ground when I got home 4. Rear defrost wasn't working---told it was the electronic controller --changed it; drove home; rear defrost still didn't work; told my whole rear window had to be replaced. In retrospect, 2 decades of generally spotty service; it's why I almost never go back and now why I will never go back. read more

I can't tell you how angry I am right now. I went to Huntersville Ford yesterday to get an oil change on my commuter car. Paid my $41.00 and was given back my car just over an hour later. Today I had to go to work (40 mile round trip commute). As I was getting off of I-85, I noticed the smell of burning oil. I thought maybe the tech just spilled a little on the exhaust manifold since it's right there, and maybe it's burning off. I didn't hit a stop light until I was almost at my office. When I stopped and was waiting for the light, my cabin started to fill with smoke, and I had smoke pouring out from under the hood and the wheel wells as well. I pulled over into the parking area of a gas station (because they have accessible fire extinguishers) and parked. I popped the hood only to find THE TECHNICIAN DID NOT PUT THE OIL FILLER CAP BACK ON!!! Now my engine is covered in potentially flammable oil, and of course Huntersville Ford is closed today!!!! I have my car sitting outside in the parking lot with the hood open, just in case it decides to ignite, because my engine is pretty hot after a 20 mile drive. I called and left a voicemail, and now I have to find a way to degrease my engine at work, just so I can drive it home in a less-flammable state. I WILL HOLD HUNTERSVILLE FORD RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY COMPONENTS THAT FAIL AS OF A RESULT OF THIS. Most electronics don't like being slathered in motor oil. In fact, I'm pretty sure they aren't designed for that. I can assure you, I will NOT be taking my car back to that dealership, even though it is right around the corner from my house.
