My first impression was how do I order a gyro sandwich. Couldn't find it on the menu board. That could be my problem as it is our first visit. But there was a picture advertisement on the wall so I said I want that. End of problem. But it came with certain items and extra choices cost $0.50 each. That's just silly. My second impression was of the fresh ingredients prepared right in front of me. Everything was fresh and tasted good. The bread and gyro meat are key to the sandwich, both were delicious. Lots of lettuce and a good tzatziki sauce were givens but I chose a few other options. Not sure when or if I exceeded my allotment but if I did it was $0.50 extra. There were 4 choices for sauces, max two (really). My wife had the lemon chicken soup and loved it. An excellent bowl of one of her favorites. She also had roasted cauliflower, proving once again there is no accounting for taste. But she loved it and would have it again. She also enjoyed the baklava tremendously. Would liked to have a side of falafel but that didn't appear to be an option. Staff were helpful and the space was beautiful. Nice place to enjoy a meal or have delivered from. Haven't been here since they first opened but my husband recently attended a veteran event that was catered by Kefi and so we decided to try it out again since he said it was really good there. I was pleasantly surprised they used raw garbanzos for their falafel as compared to the cooked smashed garbanzos they used previously!!! So much better. I will come a lot more often now. My wife had discovered a new restaurant for us across from Target on Hwy 97 in Bend. Little did we know Kefi's has been in this location since Covid back in 2020. We both tried the build your own bowl. You get brown or Jasmin rice as your base. One protein, four toppings and two sauces. My wife and I had the falafel as our protein. She had the spring mix, grape tomatoes, pickled onions, and roasted cauliflower. I had the spring mix, roasted cauliflower, crunchin cabbage, and marinated golden beets. All bowls come with two small pieces of warm pita. Your bowl come in take out style cardboard. It's a pretty large vessel and they do not skimp on your order. I'm looking forward to trying there chicken bowl next time out. read more

Nick, Nick, Nick! Have you personally been in your store to watch the night crew. They're going to break you. The (cold) lamb was rubbery and they heaped 3 times the normal amount on my pita. The rest of the topping were also so out of balance and huge in portion, the little gal trying to roll it up, couldn't. The Tzatziki sauce was also slathered on, oozing everywhere and making the pita soggy, so that it the poor pita exploded and tore apart from the weight and size of the ingredients and the ocean of sauce on it. Generous is nice, but this was ridiculous. I had to dump it into a bowl and eat my hand-held sandwich with a fork. They need training.on portion control. I know you have the knowledge, so show them. MORE is not always better and in This case, I couldn't eat my favorite sandwich! PS: They also squeezed a huge blob of the pinkish sauce on top of the tzatziki(without asking), ruining my favorite part of the sando, the tzatziki sauce! Their falafel is soft, made fresh, hand rolled right in store and has the perfect balance of spice and saltiness...crunch etc. Their feta fries were amazing as well with plenty of cheese and portions. They drop their fries last minute so they're fresh for the customer. Seasoned perfectly and come with an assorted of sauces to go with it! The staff were super friendly and courteous. Little bit of a wait around lunch time but never more than 30 minutes. If you're in a pinch make sure to put your order in ahead of time during these busier hours. I have to say their gyro is the closest to the traditional gyro/shawarma I have had in Bend so far. For those that are wondering, FRIES is traditionally added into the sandwich. Apparently, demanding great Greek food in Bend was too much. So Zeus punished and sent me to Kefi. Where, for some reason, food served Chipotle-style managed nearly five (4.6; 4.7) stars on here and Google Maps. But who'd be clueless enough to head to Chipotle for authentic, mind-blowing Mexican cuisine? I'd been used to independent Mediterranean restaurants full of personality. But, here, I immediately got (figuratively) slapped in the face with a disorienting menu and forgettable branding. By promoting "fast," prepared ingredients were left out, ready-to-serve--or ready to be stale. The brown rice was barely warm. (Also, just warm) gyros pieces already carved before business opening. Flat tzatziki. Watery humus. A couple little slices of thin, reheated end-of-life pita. And everything combined into one bowl (except bread) meant my lunch became cold within minutes and tasted like nothing. How was it that this fast-food equivalency got such high praises in THIS city--a magnet to travelers who'd likely have experienced divine Mediterranean/Greek meals elsewhere? read more

At first I didn't think the portion was much for the $13 price tag but I started to get full towards the end so I can't complain too much! I'm a little late for this particular bandwagon. Kefi is a fast, assembly-line style restaurant. Pick your base, pick your protein, pick your toppings, etc. Many of the usual Mediterranean food suspects are available, which means you can build a vegetarian meal fairly easily. I went with the rice-greens base, which I think was a mistake. Should have gone with a wrap maybe. - Rice- greens base: a bit heavy on the rice, light on the greens, basically filler. - Falafel: kind of dry and a little bland. - Toppings: the four I chose were good but not super good. - Sauces: tzatziki & tahini. Much like the toppings, good, not great. - Pita: two small pieces come with the meal. Not very good. - Dolmades: an extra side, these are pretty tasty. Filled with rice. - Baklava: Now we're talking. The star of the meal. Overall, A-OK, but no more than 3-stars good. Prices are in line with the norm today. The shopping plaza they're in isn't OK - the line for Chick-fil-A often chokes the parking lot. (I will choose Kefi over C-f-A every time.) read more

Love how almost their entire menu is gluten free and as someone with multiple food intolerances, I could get almost everything on the menu. They even had gluten free chocolate chip cookies, which we went back and got a few more during our trip lol. They were the best!!
