First time here, visit was good. I order a combo plate with chicken and lamb. The lamb was delicious and cooked perfectly however the chicken skewer was a little on the dry side. Rice, pita and sauce was good as well as baklava. Only detractor aside from the slightly dry chicken is when restaurants have a tip option for counter service that's starts at 18%. I don't mind tipping $1-2 if they are busting tables, providing refills, etc, but to prompt a customer for a 18%+ tip is inappropriate for counter service (yes I'm aware their is a custom option) but you shouldn't have the tip option start at 18%. I've only tried this place once so far but after having their gyro can't wait to get the dolmas, mezze platter, etc. The lamb and beef were great. A nice liberal dollop of tzatziki, fresh veggie toppings and a soft spongy pita bread made for a basically flawless gyro experience. This place seems instantly popular and definitely fills a niche - there aren't many Mediterranean spots in this town and there aren't many restaurants in this southeastern zone. I am glad that Bend has a fairly new Mediterranean choice in The Great Greek Med. Grill. My wife and I went for dinner. We both choose the Falafel Pita. Homemade Chickpea Fritters in a Pita with Hummus, Red Onion, Lettuce, Tomatoes, and Tzatziki. I don't know why every time I eat a Pita, they always loose its content. Messy but very taste. This is a semi-fast food franchise. I had high hopes with all the great reviews. I had the steak souvlaki, it was very good. The marinade didn't come through, but the beef was tender. My wife had the chicken souvlaki. It was very dry, overcooked and bland. The hummus was very creamy and delicious. I am get frustratrated with semi-fastfood expecting 20% tip. The lowest tip on the machine is 18% - that offends my sensibilities. Overall a good experience. I'll stick with wraps next time, may be more in their wheelhouse. read more

Tried a gyro for lunch today, and got a plate to take home to my husband. Service was friendly and attentive throughout my visit. The gyro sadly was just ok. Cold pita. Incredibly dried out, salty and cardboard like meat. Which, in a gyro is supposed to be the whole point. Everything was drowning in sauce making it impossible to eat while holding it. I will probably come back for another try, but they need to focus more on quality and consistency. Side note; don't bother putting a symbol for gluten free on the bottom of your menu if literally nothing available is gluten free. read more

We ordered a side of spanakopita and 2 chicken gyros, the spanakopita was pretty good, but the gyros were absolutely wretched. I guess the chicken had been sitting under the heat lamp for hours because it was as dry as Bend's high desert!
