I was on my way to Kansas and was having an electrical issue, of my own doing, so I stopped by Kegel Harley Davidson. within 10 minutes my motorcycle was in the shop. A few minutes later they came and got me and the technician showed me the problem, showed me issues that 2 other dealerships missed, and in less than an hour I was back on the road. I have had my Harley since 2017. I have never had a dealership that was this fast, polite, and fix more than my original issue, for nothing extra. If you are looking for a dealership that is truly dedicated to the customer, this is the place. The dealerships in the Milwaukee area, and I have used 4 of them, are nowhere near as good, or detail oriented as Kegel. You guys are awesome. Thank you. read more

I just completed the purchase of my 8th bike from Kegel's. I have heard from others throughout time that all dealerships are comparable in Price and service. And I fully understand that it's a matter of preference but, you also may want to understand that Harley Davidson has been Kegel's life long bloodline. They grew up in this world of motorcycles. My friend and I were taking a ride on his motorcycle and we stopped at a gas station across from Kegel Harley. I wanted a specific helmet from Harley Davidson so I called them and the woman who answered, Bri, was so helpful and cheerful. We go over to the Harley dealership and Bri already has the helmet ready for me. She tells me to try it on and walk around with it on so I could see if it was comfortable. She kept checking up on me and actually seemed really concerned about my feelings toward the helmet. She was very knowledgeable and super friendly from start to finish. We were concerned about buying the helmet because I was already wearing one but she offered to ship it to us for a low fee and it arrived today, which is fast considering we bought the helmet on Saturday. Usually go to the Johnny Pamcakes on state but wanted to give this a try since we were out this way. It was very busy but things seem to go very expedient. Our food didn't take but 15 minutes until it came out- fresh and SOOOO good. I had the French connection and I'll probably get this at this particular location every time now because these were hands down the best French pancakes I've ever had in my 26 years of living. I was SOOO excited when I heard that there was a Johnny pancakes here! Everyone has told me that there's a 2nd Johnny pamcakes but I couldn't find it anywhere or in my maps, so this "hidden gem" was the highlight of my day. I always went to the one on estate and it is always jammed pack and a waiting list, but when I came here we got seated right away and the food came out super quick! I always get the Swedish connection which comes with 2 eggs, 2 bacon and sausage and 2 Swedish pancakes. Their Swedish pancakes are BEST! You have to try it for yourself! I also think that this place seems cleaner and more efficient, But nonetheless, the whole staff from the waitress to the hostess was so nice and I will definitely be coming to this place more often! read more

I love Kegel Harley-Davidson of Rockford. My god, the people are SO nice and so informative. I went in to ask about their Schwinn scooters (which the actually don't stock regularly anymore... and from what it sounds like, it was for good reason that they stopped) and somehow got talked into trying out a motorcycle. I was astounded by the amazing service and depth of knowledge that their employees had. I didn't have it in the budget for a bike, but man oh man, now I want one and I'm making it a priority to buy from them when I have the finances to do so. Quick Shout-Out to Kegel Harley Davidson in Rockford, Illinois I had a wonderful experience with Eric (parts department) and Allen yesterday, Sunday, July 5, 2015 after my 2014 Street Glide Special lost both the heel and toe shifter in Southern Wisconsin. I jury rigged a shifter and road back to Kegel Harley Davidson about 1:00pm. Eric and Allen assessed the situation (my bike was loaded as I was riding and planning a little fishing), gathered the necessary parts and within 90 minutes had me back on the road. How perfect. While waiting I hit the Diner within Kegel Harley Davidson and had one of the best burgers (OK, it was a 1/2 lb. double burger) I have had in a long while. Truly a destination ride for the burgers. I had a wonderful experience with Kegel Harley Davidson and would highly recommend them. The way everybody treated me is a reflection of quality management and training...and their love of motorcycles and those who ride them. read more

Stopped in to Johnny Pamcakes with my daughter and her friend. We were seated at the bar area pretty quickly and the waitress brought our water and promptly took our order. The food came quickly and there was plenty of it! We ordered breakfast. They girls loved it and were thrilled there was no wait. They were both in the clean plate club! Kegel's Harley Davidson gets customer service. My wife and I were riding our motorcycles from Virginia Beach to Sturgis. While on the road I noticed her Fat Boy's rear tire was wearing faster than expected. With rain forecast for the rest of our trip, we decided it needed replaced. Planning to visit family in Rockford, we decided to get the tire done at Kegel's. We go right off the interstate and there was Kegel's. It was 3:30 on Saturday August 2nd and were hoping the service department was still open. If not it was Monday until we could get done and we would lose a day of travel really setting us back. We went right to the service desk where we met Gage and Kenny. They explained they closed at 4:00 and asked about where we were from. When they found out we were traveling, Kenny said "we will get you done right now" and off he went to find out who would stay to get us fixed. Gage went to work getting our paperwork started and Kenny was off to get her bike. Next thing you know the door is up and Dean and the PIT CREW were on it. 45 minutes and it was done. I cannot express how much we appreciated the extra efforts made by everyone there to help out strangers. With that, the friendly family atmosphere reminded me of the old days at family owned Harley shops where everyone knew everyone and relationships weren't just built on business and profits, they were built on friendship and helping people! If I could give a zero star rating I would. Went here to buy a helmet and face shield and was sold a face shield that doesn't fit the helmet. Long story short, three trips to store and still no face shield. Sales staff were rude and incompetent. Sales staff were not familiar with the product they are selling. read more

The food and the wait staff are tremendous, however Bob, the host or cashier is terribly rude. On 2 separate occasions he has berated the hostess in front of us and other customers. Today, 3 elderly customers were waiting for a table. The one gentleman was barely able to stand, holding on to a cane and his wife. He was also a veteran. They were barely acknowledged & waited at least 20 minutes, without approaching anyone else to see if they would let these folks be seated before a younger group. Bob is cocky & not a good fit for this very busy restaurant. We have been going there for 2 years & I have NEVER seen him lift a finger to clear a table when the waitresses are busy; he just barks out orders & takes money. Not a team player whatsoever. And if my husband and I notice it, so do a lot of other patrons. read more

Im a repeat customer of Kegels. I took their riding class back in 09. after completing the course I purchased a sweet 08 nightster with 300 mi. from them. I was still a bit nervous to ride on the open road so w/o hesitation Allen Mattlock took me out riding and we road all over the back roads of Cherry Valley untiI I felt more comfortable. I really loved my Nightster but I just recently traded that in for a 2017 Freewheeler. From sales to finance to parts and retail I could not be more impressed with Kegel Harley-Davidson. Thank you Karl, Gary, Johnny, Eric, Allen and Pat for taking such great care of me. I truely love my Freewheeler and I look forward to custominzing it to fit me (cuz im petite).
