I was just there (Hi-Tech) this week for a slow-leak in one of my tires. My car was brought into one of the bays and checked; 15 minutes later I was driving home. Tire was fixed, warning light was re-set and I was on my way. I was there for less than 30 minutes. For my five cars over the 20+ years, Hi-tech has exclusively handled the regular maintenance and as cars aged all the "bigger ticket" maintenance. You will be able to find it, just give them a call and they will direct you about 2 minutes nearby. I needed some exhaust work done in a pinch, called them, they said they could take me in, 20 minute later after getting lost and such, the car was up on the lift. The exhaust I purchased even though it was made for the car, had issues with fitment. The only resolution was to cut both flanges and weld the pipes together. Wasn't my favorite idea but I didn't want to ship the exhaust back and deal with a restock fee, etc. I would lose more money that way as it was and on top of it, wanted to hear out it sounded. I was quoted $80 for the labor and materials (despite how little material there was to get worked with..), and while it wasn't the best price in the world, the two workers I initially dealt with seemed to know their trade and I figured again, to save the hassle on shipping the exhaust back, restock fee, then wait for another exhaust... just wasn't worth it. So I accepted. They completed the work in under 20 minutes. It sounded great. Funny thing was, the owner came by in the middle of the fabrication work and was the one that finished welding the pipes together. When he was done, I was paying him the $80 dollars and he said,"okay man, let me get you change." (I think they are cash only) The owner was going to operate for me at a lower price. Imagine that. What a good guy - not sure if his employee was trying to rip me off or if the owner just wanted to cut me a deal, either way- I appreciated it from his end and told him that I was honest and that the other guy quoted me $80.00 so he could keep it, he thanked me and likewise, and about 45 minutes, I was already heading home. Overall, great guys, not sure about again the amount I paid, I will just chalk it up as "it could have been better, but definitely could have been worse." Would I come here again? Yes. They are a diamond in the rough.

Brought my Dodge Charger into this shop for some simple exhaust work. The work was quick but super sloppy and I had an awful exhaust leak that led to further issues down the road. The ongoing leak caused my whole exhaust system to have further issues. The exhaust tip started literally melting into my rear diffuser as seen in the picture. My catalytic converters started failing and my engine began misfiring because of a poor welding job. After diagnosing the issue, they told me that a piece of weatherstripping around the sunroof had come loose, allowing water to leak into the car. The moisture had begun corroding the wiring connection for the rear passenger light. Whenever that light flickered or went out, it caused a chain reaction that affected other features, including the auto wipers. The dealership's proposed solution was extreme: they recommended replacing the wiring harness and light assembly, installing new weatherstripping, and even putting in a brand-new headliner. Their estimate? Just over $6,000 before tax. Thankfully, I decided to get a second opinion and brought my SUV to Addison Body Shop and Glass. The owner, Mike, took a careful look and immediately reassured me that most of the dealership's recommendations were unnecessary. Instead of replacing parts, he reattached the weatherstripping, cleaned the light and its connections, and carefully treated the minor water stains on the headliner.
