Was looking forward to trying Keik since they've been on my list for a while. Came here on a Sunday and was greeted by the hostess...she didn't really smile or seem welcoming. Once seated at our table, I asked about their breakfast specials seen on their IG page and was told it was only valid Monday through Friday. Their post didn't mention any 'valid on' days. They said they couldn't offer the special pricing, but were willing to offer a small discount. I was disappointed because their post was misleading, and I started to regret even suggesting we come here. The restaurant itself is cutesy, florally and very pink. The music was good. Jose, our server, was pleasant and service was quick. I had fried eggs and pancakes, which were just okay. The cappuccinos were okay as well, but photo worthy.  As we were finishing up, they told they will make an exception to honor the breakfast special pricing after all. I really appreciated that, but wish this was the initial response. (They ended up updating their IG post caption afterward, adding the Mon-Fri. disclaimer). I went here to celebrate my friend's birthday and we had a great time! It was decorated beautifully and it was a good atmosphere. The attention to detail from the heart napkin holder, pink tableware to pink straws and more was great to see. The staff were very attentive and helpful. The food was delicious and the portion size was great. My favorite items were the bacon wrapped dates and the tropical shrimp pink bowl. The bacon wrapped dates were delicious and a perfect balance between salty and sweet. The shrimp bowl was delicious. The shrimp was cooked well but were a little salty. This was my third visit to Keik in Kendall. This time I was with a large group of 10. The food was good as always. I ordered the Mediterranean Chicken Bowl. It was really good, and the others who ordered this mentioned how flavorful it was for not having any sauce on it, though I still liked better the Tropical Bowl and the Smoked Salmon Croissant from my last visits. I ordered a cocktail - the Cotton Candy Rosé. It was basically a glass of rosé with a blob of cotton candy on top, but it was still pretty and a glass of rosé after all lol. The service was just okay. We all had the subtle feeling that we were a bother. For 10 of us, they were only able to do 5 checks, so we had to team up and figure out how to split it amongst ourselves. read more

What an absolute disaster of an establishment. From the second we got there. Manager wouldn't let us get a bigger table because we still had two people on the way, so they squeezed all of us into a tiny table. I finally managed to get us a bigger table, but even then we had to wait another 20 minutes before they actually moved us. The food takes about 40-50 minutes to come out. My sister ordered French toast, and our server completely forgot to put her order in. After everyone else already had their food, they brought out some random French toast that looked like it had been sitting in the kitchen for 20 minutes and it wasn't even what she ordered. Then the manager had the nerve to question my sister and tell her that was what she ordered when I literally heard her entire order and knew it wasn't. The whole experience was an absolute mess from beginning to end. Terrible organization, ridiculously long wait times, rude service, and staff with horrible attitudes on top of everything else. Unfortunately, my recent experience at Keik was extremely disappointing, especially because I have visited before and never experienced this level of poor service. Our waitress, Alyssa, seemed annoyed from the beginning when taking our order. I asked for ketchup for my 2-year-old daughter, but it was never brought to our table. What really bothered me was how she handled my daughter. My daughter was holding the sugar packets and playing with them--she was not opening them or making a mess. Alyssa took them out of her hands and proceeded to scold us, telling us that we should stop playing with the sugar packets. There was absolutely no reason to speak to us that way, especially while we were simply trying to enjoy our meal with our toddler. Then, as we were leaving, she began clearing the table and accidentally knocked over cups filled with water onto both of my husband's phones--his personal phone and his business phone. What was even more frustrating was that she did not apologize. She offered to clean them up, but there was no sense of urgency, so we ended up cleaning up the mess ourselves. I understand that mistakes happen, but the attitude, lack of professionalism, and way the entire situation was handled were unacceptable. Alyssa definitely needs additional training on customer service and how to interact respectfully with families and children. I've had better experiences at Keik in the past, which is why this visit was especially disappointing. I hope management takes this feedback seriously because customers should not leave feeling disrespected and frustrated. read more

I live nearby and have eaten lunch here probably a dozen times now, always ordering off the lunch special menu. At $14.99, Monday through Friday, it's genuinely one of the better lunch deals in the Kendall area once you factor in portion size and quality; a lot of 'affordable lunch' spots cut corners, but Keik doesn't. It's become my go-to when I don't want to cook and don't want to overspend either. Wish more people knew this was even a thing here since most people just think of them for the cakes. read more

My husband got a slice of coconut cake to take home. It was $11-12. The cashier said that the mini cakes are $88 and the medium cakes are $120-$140. Hubby said the cake was a little crusty (i.e., the outside part of the cake was kinda dry) but the icing was nice and light. Such a cute little bakeshop with a twist. Never thought that they had dinner options but i was wrong. Started off the night with some Cabernet wine and Hummus appetizer. For the entree had the Salmon bowl and the Mediterranean bowl and both had very good portions, everything on it was delicious. Salmon was a little bit over cooked but still was very good. Our waitress Ivonne was also very attentive to our table and gave recommendations as needed. At one point had complained to her that our area was very cold and she gladly moved us. The Vanilla Almond Cake was beautiful but way too moist and surprisingly bland. The Pecan Pie Cake, on the other hand, was delicious -- that one's a keeper! What really ruined the visit was the service. This was just a take-out order, but while I waited where they told me to -- by the register -- the staff kept asking me to move so they could serve coffee to other people. It felt chaotic and condescending, all delivered with that fake "smiling while being rude" attitude. Amazing new restaurant in Kendall. This place is a work of art. The attention to detail is incredible. When you walk in you are greeted with pink walls and pink flowers. Great photo op opportunity. We got a pink lattes which came with a beautiful designs and gold flakes. I didn't even want to drink it, it was so pretty: We also got a slice of Nutella and dulce de leche. I don't know how they make the coffee pink. It was really good as well. Lunch specials are from 12-3 and happy hour 3-9. We got the half roast beef and squash soup on the lunch special. And the Italian sandwich with crispy country potatoes. The squash had small bacon pieces and was spectacular. Definitely recommend. The Italian was okay, not my favorite. I didn't taste the pesto all that much and I had to add mayonnaise to give it some flavor. But let me tell you the potatoes were a hit which leads me to believe the breakfast plates are where it's at. Most definitely will be back to try more things on the menu. We got there about 1130 and was told it would be a 30 min wait but it turned into like 10 for a Sunday. It is definitely a pink paradise, a good spot for a girls brunch or baby shower. There service was friendly and fast, shout out to Valentina what took great care of us. We had a some drinks and a appetizer to start off with. When it's busy it is loud. They do celebrate bdays by the staff. They ambience is very cutesy and instagramable. A very cute place. I made a reservation well in advance for Mother's Day, expecting a smooth and special experience. Unfortunately, when I arrived after traveling quite a distance the owner informed me that their reservation system "wasn't working" and they would not be honoring my reservation. There was no phone call, no email, no attempt to notify guests ahead of time. On a day as important and busy as Mother's Day, this level of disorganization is simply unacceptable. It's not just about the technical issue it's about the complete lack of communication and professionalism. If a business relies on a reservation system, there should be a backup plan in place, and at the very least, some courtesy extended to those who planned ahead. This experience was a major letdown, especially for such a meaningful occasion. I won't be returning. read more
