I was driving Uber yesterday delivery when I went to drop a delivery and my car would not go in park! ...It would only go in reverse! I got so scared so i shut it off in park because it shifted at least and did not roll so I put my hazards on and crossed my fingers!! I came out not even half a minute later put the keys in the ignition and my lights only came on it would not do anything not a click or sound of a engine at all!! I sat in the heat let it rest a while and still nothing so i remember that Rick had given me the card earlier and I decided to call them, boy am I glad I did! needless to say they had my vehicle ready the very next day I am so grateful because its my work van! I take both my Ford Escape and my Jeep Wrangler to John for all maintenance and any and all repairs. If my low air lights come on I take it over to him because you never know ... it could be a totally different problem. My Volvo was ruined by Keillys. Lost $4000, engine can't be fixed because of this auto repair. Took 2 months, always an excuse. New mechanic says he ruined my engine. Had to replace all the work Keillys did. Never take your car here. read more

Keilys also spelled Keilly's Automtive Bradenton Florida are a bunch of complete con-artists - I knew front brake rotors were fine and just needed pads. Keilys upsold me the rotors so I said OK. Sears just saw the front rotors and said they were fine. I was trying to have the work down closer to me was all. That put me at $272 for brakes, rotors and another $100 for gasket cover [oil leak] and $120 for serpentine belt. So-I am at $492 with Keillys automotive ....I am a widow and they know that. Keilly's automotive Bradenton, FL were also supposed to find water leak [my car flooded after every rain] and beyond fixing the drain gasket to stop oil from leaking under car. They report to me sunroof was open a bit and I told them that was NOT the water leak area...they ignored that---and they claimed to have replaced the gasket. Bill went from $565 to $780 and that is about the time I started screaming. Without any excuse at all they dropped bill to $565 which is still a hundred dollars more than what I approved for simply FRONT BRAKES, ROTORS and Gasket cover. Even that was pretty outrageous-oh, serpentine belt for $100 was added. Fine. Here is the KICKER!!! They told me it would be ready 24 hours later at 2:00 on a Friday. I call at 2:00 and they need until 4:00. Fine. (They have a service to come and get you) I call at 4:40 and they claim they are on their way to get me. I put my puppy in his cage so I can be gone 30 minutes. This turns into HOURS!!! By 7:00 at NIGHT I am missing a dinner date--freaking out because they stopped answering their phone!!!! And my pup has been in and out of a cage for no good reason for 3 hours. And someone finally shows up at 7:30. He acts tired and does not "want to hear it". When I get there the tech at Keilly's automotive in Bradenton FL is snickering with the owner (they were there just not answering my calls) and this is when the bill of $780 was thrown at me. And about the time my voice went to a high pitch. Then I park outside on my pavers that night because they claimed the oil leak was fixed and water leak--and it pours that Friday night. I wake up to a flood in my car and oil and water all over my pavers Saturday morning. So no gasket was fixed and one purpose of replacing serpentine belt was because they said oil had blew all over it. The guy who owns the place at Keilys automotive in Bradenton FLorida is a big smelly swine who cannot even keep a female receptionist anymore. And he is the type to get defensive if you seem upset-so he can go to heck. He really freaked me out on a Friday night having possession of my vehicle and not answering a phone but claiming to get me for three hours. I cannot tell you how upsetting that alone is-because he could claim outrageous work was done and pretty much own your car under FL law. Best automotive shop in Bradenton ...... actually, the west coast of Florida! Expert knowledge, experience and honesty beyond belief. In today's day, this is a sincerely rare find. John and his staff are extremely knowledgeable and care about the service they deliver. I went to Keilly's for a second opinion on a very costly repair on an older vehicle. John looked at my vehicle and explained, in detail what was wrong. His knowledge alone impressed me and even before asking for the estimate, I made the decision to have the repair done there. Maybe they fix stuff good if you want to be way over charged for stuff you don't need. I could never afford them or waste my money there. They also install Intoxalock. DO NOT GET THIS DEVICE. Any other brand is better then this . (You just have to blow out) This one - You have to take a deep breath and blow in for like 3 beeps THEN quickly suck out for 2 beeps and THEN blow again for like 3 beeps. IF you don't do it just right then you have to start all over again. You will be out of breath by the time your done. Also think about you and if others have to use this you will be sucking out that spit that will be going in there and sitting and growing bacteria. Just gross and maybe make you sick. Especially now with the virus. The people there will even be showing you how it works and their spit will be in there too. Also they will not take any responsibility if you can't do it. They will just act dumb and say it is not their responsibility (they just install and take out) And the company don't care either. When you call to install they are right there on the phone but if you are and existing customer it can take 15 minutes or more before they get to you. (Either they are busy with complaints or they just hope you will hang up)? Anyway, You've been warned. read more

I am lousy when it comes to my car, I have little or no useful knowledge to help me. Therefore I am at the mercy of who ever I chose to take care of my cars and I always make that choice carefully. In fact, the first day after I had arrived in my new home town I asked someone to recommend a good mechanic and they did, but it was not Keilly's, they came later. I have had a number of trusted relationships with mechanics, I cried when I had to leave mine when I left New Hampshire. With all that said, John Keilly is the best of the best. I trust him completely. The negative review below, I can see the situation from John's side, have an idea of how things could have gone so terribly wrong. I have just returned from having him plug a tire, rotate the tires (bought from him) and I think he said he had a look at the brakes, although I know they should be fine as they were done a little over a year ago, at Keilly's of all places, LOL. Poor communication. I called to have my rear breaks looked they told me to bring it in and they will look and give me an estimate. I took my car up within 10mins after the phone conversation and they said it would be about 20min before they can get to it. I sad I would wait they offered to to take me home and call me with the results. I only live about 3 blocks away. Sitting at home for 3hrs I finally called them and they had my phone number wrong that's after I repeated it 2x when he took it. He said that the breaks looked good and they were a little gummed up and they would clean them up for 75$ I said that's fine I will clean them. He then said it's only 25$ they already had 50$ into it. I said what? You did not tell me their was any charge to look at them. You said you would take a look to see what needed replaced and give me an estimate nothing about charges for an estimate! He said the car is here come and get it and threw in a "people are unbelievable" and hung up. I don't think I was out of line questioning the charges that were not given up front.
