I have been going to Dr. Heller for 6-7 years now. I have a lot of dermatology issues because of pale skin and many sunburns as a child. Dr. Heller is knowledgeable, intelligent, and has a pleasant personality. He did excellent work removing a squameous cell carcenoma from my face -- removing all of the cancer was a success, and you can barely see any scar what so ever! The face is always an important area for a surgeon to do quality work, and I'd recommend Dr. Heller to anyone. Mischa is an excellent doctor as well, she filled in a couple of appointments during the pandemic. I had one procedure which had a large copay, and the office staff allowed me to break up the balance into a few payments. Very nice office staff. Thank you doctor for the excellent work, keep it up!

I've been getting treatments for a long time, so I pay attention to technique, and she was so careful, thorough, and intentional with everything she did. She made me look so much more refreshed and balanced while still looking completely natural. I left feeling so beautiful and happy with the results. What I also love is that they offer so much in one place. I started my weight loss meds there too, and I'm already planning to come back for a surgery consult and a facial.

Prior to this consultation I submitted photos and had multiple phone conversations with the patient coordinator Abagail. Abagail spent a long time with me on the phone answering all of my questions and was very helpful. We spent a lot of time searching for the right date to schedule the surgery, considering how long I would need for rehab, when my husband would be available to drive me afterwards, arranging a dog sitter, scheduling my pre-op appointment and all of the details which must be arranged around the surgery date. We finally agreed on the date of Thursday, September 18, 2025. I told my husband the date. He arranged his schedule of work, travel and meetings to be available during that time, I scheduled the dog sitter, I went to my pre-op appointment, I got clearance from my cardiologist and I was all ready to go on Thursday, Sept. 18. Then I went in for my consultation with Dr. Waltzman who I liked very much. We decided I would be a good candidate for the brachioplasty. He explained the likely outcome and the details of the rehab. He was also kind enough to let me know that I am not a good candidate for skin tightening procedures at my age, due to the lack of enough collagen to get good results from skin tightening procedures. I was very happy to then go to Abagail's office to pay for the procedure and finalize the schedule. That was when Abagail casually informed me that the date she and I had so carefully chosen, the one I had spent so much time making arrangements for, with my husband and his work, my dog sitter, my cardiologist, and my primary care doctor- she informed that this date was no longer available. I was so shocked when Abagail very casually informed me that she had given that surgery date to someone else. I asked her why she had not let me know that the date I had so carefully arranged for was a tentative date. She said that her policy was to not give priority to anyone. My response was that she certainly gave priority to someone else for that date when she had already promised it to me. Abagail declined to apologize to me or to acknowledge that she should have told me the date was tentative. She declined to be accountable at all for putting me in such an inconvenient position. I felt that I had been betrayed, or misled or manipulated or disrespected by this person who refused to take any responsibility. I followed up by calling and speaking to who I was told was the office manager at that time, whose name I do not remember. We had a very helpful conversation where I explained to the manager my experience with Abagail and how inconvenienced I was by being given a surgery date that was so casually withdrawn with no acknowledgement at all that she should have made it clear to me this date was tentative. The manager listened politely and thanked me for the feedback. I thought that was the end of the issue until yesterday. Yesterday I tried calling the Waltzman Institute to schedule a consultation for injections in my lower face. However, Makayla, who I spoke to today, said she had never spoken to me before, and is now the office manager. Makayla very authoritatively informed me that The Waltzman Institute is refusing to have me as a client. So today I learned that the Waltzman Institute has chosen to ignore a potential client's attempts at providing, what some professionals would consider to be valuable feedback. I am disappointed at this response and at how this supposed professional patient coordinator at a reputable medical practice was able to act in such an unprofessional way, refuse to own up to what she did, and then convince other staff members to not listen to me or to consider my feedback. These types of experiences are the most valuable learning experiences for all us, except for those who refuse to hear or listen to feedback, or for those who can't acknowledge their own accountability for their own mistakes, as in his case, when a client calls them on their responsibility to inform the client of all pertinent information pertaining to the surgical date. Before this encounter with Abagail, I was impressed with Dr. Waltzman, and I felt that, to him, earning the trust of his patients is a very important part of his practice. It is ironic that his own patient coordinator, along with the current office manager, should go behind his back to erode that trust . When I spoke to Makayla today, she verbally included Dr. Waltzman himself as one of the decision-makers who voted to ban me from his practice. However, I think that Dr. Waltzman will be ashamed when he learns of this sabotage. I hope that Abagail will at some point grow a seed of how to acknowledge her mistakes and learn that listening to feedback can be personal growth material.

If you are searching for a doctor that is a genius, no exaggeration, but also has the best bed side…read moremanner... search no further Dr. Justin Heller is the best doctor. I know a lot of people claim their doctor is the best doctor, but I work in healthcare and I know just because you went through medical school doesn't mean you are the best doctor. A couple years ago, I was referred by my mother to have Dr. Heller do my plastic surgery, breast augmentation surgery. It was right before my wedding, and I had a very narrow window where I could get this done. He fit me into his busy schedule and I was mot the easiest case because of my scoliosis I'm very uneven and my rib cage is kinda twisted. He took the extra time to make sure everything looked perfect. He is not only a terrific surgeon but has an artist's eye for perfection. He even made a house call to check on my mom after her surgery. I've never seen a doctor go out of his way like dr. Heller to make sure his patients feel comfortable and taken care. Now for the miracle case, recently Dr. Heller was the only doctor that actually took initiative on my perplexing hand/finger case. After a month of being in total agony, and being admitted into the ER twice for four days, no doctor would perform surgery on my swollen finger. My right middle finger swelled up while I was sleeping one night and my boyfriend had to saw off my ring to get it off. I've been having swelling of my hand and feet lately, possibly an autoimmune disorder, but my finger never went back down to its normal size. It actually continued to keep swelling and I use my hands for my work, so I was not about to lose a finger to this mystery swelling. Doctors kept saying they would do surgery and then they would come back in and back out of surgery because they didn't know why my finger was swollen and they worried draining it would cause infection. My finger wasn't infected though and I felt like other doctors were not listening to me. I finally remembered Dr. Heller wasn't just a plastic surgeon, he had a specialty in hand surgery. I drove from Orange County to Lancaster in tears and hoping he could help me. Dr. Heller showed me compassion and confidence that he would find time in his busy schedule and take me to surgery the next day. He found a clear plastic rubber band hair tie had been around my finger cutting off almost all veins and ligaments almost on the bone in surgery. So I basically had a tourniquet around my finger for a month and he almost had to amputate, but instead he decided to save my finger. I guess I was distracted one day when I was braiding my hair and the rubber band was so small I put it around my finger while I was braiding my hair and it must have skipped under my ring. When my boyfriend sawed off the ring the rubber band had slipped in to a tiny cut in my finger. No doctor even thought to look in the cut and they saw it in the CT but said it was scar tissue, NO IT WAS A RUBBER BAND! I got out of surgery and saw Dr. Heller every week and did physical therapy and his team helped me with disability insurance and were so supportive. I cannot brag about Dr. Heller enough! Some people become doctors to help people and then some people like Dr. Heller become a doctor to not just help people, but SAVE people and go to every length to make them comfortable. Go see Dr. Heller either in Valencia or Lancaster, it's worth it!!

I went to Dr. Heller to replace my implants because I had an encapsulated breast, and I also requested a breast lift. Before my surgery, I specifically discussed my concerns about my breasts hanging. I brought this up multiple times and made it very clear that I did not want a result where my breasts would hang because I did not like that appearance. Dr. Heller told me that they needed to hang, but I continued to express that this was not the look I wanted. After surgery, once I was able to see my breasts, I immediately noticed that they were hanging significantly, and my left breast appeared noticeably lower and different from the right. I contacted Dr. Heller, sent photos, and was told that I needed to allow them time to settle. I waited several months, but the appearance did not improve. At my appointments, I continued pointing out the issues and explaining that I was unhappy with the result. I felt that my concerns were not being taken seriously, and I was eventually told that it was "not a big deal" and that it could be fixed. Several months later, when I returned to ask when the correction could be done, I was directed to speak with a staff member. I was then told that I would need to pay again for the correction. I paid a significant amount of money for my surgery, and the main thing I repeatedly asked for--a lifted appearance that did not hang--was not achieved. I am now left unhappy with the appearance of my breasts and frustrated that I am being asked to pay additional money to correct an issue I had clearly discussed before surgery. This has been a very disappointing experience for me. I wish I had chosen differently, and I would strongly encourage anyone considering surgery to make sure their expectations are clearly understood and documented before proceeding. I wish he cares more for his patients and not just his money .

Less than a month later, I noticed a suspicious lesion on the sole of my foot--an area I don't typically look at closely. My PCP agreed it looked atypical and recommended that I return to dermatology for further evaluation. I scheduled another appointment with Ms. Kelly in April. After examining the lesion, she told me it appeared to be an atypical acral nevus and recommended either a biopsy that day or a 3‑month follow‑up to monitor for changes. When I received the bill for the second visit, I was surprised and disappointed to find that I owed a balance. Given how soon the second appointment occurred and the nature of the lesion, I believe it was likely present--but overlooked--during the initial comprehensive exam. It was difficult to reconcile a 12-24 month follow‑up from the first visit with a 3 month follow‑up just weeks later. The likelihood that the lesion appeared, grew aggressively, and then stabilized within that brief window seems low to me. I expressed to the clinic that, under these circumstances, I felt the remaining balance should be waived. I spoke with both the billing specialist and the office manager, but they explained that the visit would be billed regardless. I ultimately paid the balance. While the staff and provider were polite and professional, my overall experience was not ideal. I was left with the feeling that the initial comprehensive exam may not have been as thorough as I expected. I fully believe providers should be compensated for their work and recognize that healthcare and insurance systems are complex, but I was not completely satisfied with the care I received at this clinic.

After putting a couple skin cancer biopsies off for a while (which, nobody should ever, ever…read moredo!!!!) I finally had the pleasure of my primary referring me to Dr heller (there is a Misha M. Heller, M.D and Alan W. Heller, M.D . It is a father and daughter team) Not only do they have amazing credentials!!But, they also have amazing bedside manner. I had the pleasure of seeing Dr misha since I felt more comfortable with a woman checking my body for places / moles that didn't look right and etc. (the one most at risk was on my ankle though) When I first made the call, we all know how long it's taking to get into places. I only had to wait about 3 weeks for an appointment? And most of that was my fault since I had an already scheduled surgery for something unrelated. Even when I called to make the appointment the woman answered the phone immediately, was helpful with answering all my questions and etc. she was such a delight! Unlike some places that act like you are bothering them by asking questions. It's in the same building as the quest labs I always frequent (over in the parking lot of the old community hospital by the traffic circle) It does have free private parking. But it does only have about 5 up close spots. And I think 3 - 4 of those are handicap. For the other parking you have to park in the little parking garage which still is not a very far walk (and free) When I first walked in I was immediately greeted by the women behind the desk. The place was all decked out in Christmas decorations, it was so cute. And yes, I showed up in my pajamas and explained how I just had surgery. So the woman helped me with signing in and asked if I needed a bottle of water or anything. Which I think it's safe to say everyone went above and beyond (They also had bowls of candy, which were all out, but they had a huge bowl of samples such as moisturizer and SPF) They also offer cosmetic dermatology such as filler and all the way up to liposuction and other plastic surgery. Which I can't comment on since this is just strictly for the biopsy I believe the nurse who helped me the most name was jasmine? (I know it started with a J) . Jasmine and Dr misha did an amazing job at calming me down. They even brought me blankets, an ice pack to put on my head and neck and kept trying to distract me. The level of care was 1000000000000 Thank you so much for a great experience. To those who are going through something as scary as needing a skin cancer biopsy, I hope you see this and see Dr misha. Sending warm wishes, good health and good luck to everyone who comes here
