Keke's ambience is smart casual and the staff at Brandon location are attentive and quick. Our breakfast came out fast, fresh (hot) and fantastic. Omelette was done well, not over cooked or under (too gooey) with ham and sausage that will satisfy your hungry appetite. Our daughter's French Toast was fluffy pillowy with beautiful and delectable fruits and for a picky eater she LOVED it! Waited for 30 min and watched 10 tables cleared and the hostess didn't sit any of us that were waiting. We had to wait an additional 10 min b4 our server came to our table. We had our menu options ready only to be told they were out of pancakes, French toast and about 2 other main menu items that we had chosen. If we would have known this when we checked in - we would have gone elsewhere. We weren't given any silverware and then when we asked - we were given plastic. Could tell the manager was super frustrated, but we could tell it would appear staff was not properly trained as the hostess seamed like they had no clue and waitresses seamed annoyed customers were not being seated. A fabulous breakfast place in the heart of Brandon. This was my first time going to Keke's, and I was not disappointed! The system they have in place is great, and they were able to get us in within 15 minutes on a busy Saturday morning. The seating is good as well, they pack in a lot of people but manage to make it seem like you are in your own section. They are currently trying to promote their paperless menus online, but hand-held ones are also available. The pricing is great considering the portion sizes, and I love trying out all their combos. Our waiter was super friendly and helpful throughout the visit. The food itself was so delicious. As you can see in the photos, great portions. It even topped First Watch in my opinion. The service is horrible. This was my third time there. I live the breakfast food but don't expect much from your server after you order. Every time my tea gets empty and only refilled when I have to ask someone else that is not my server for a refill. Today I got a refill after getting my food when he came back to check on our order. They forgot my husband's bacon and put chocolate in my stuffed French toast when I asked for it to be taken off. I got the tea refill but my husband's glass was empty for a good 20 minutes. We hen the serve red came back to get payment he did offer to refill our drinks The good is good but after that times I am done giving them a chance. I like the stuffed French toast but wine come back for it because the service is so bad. It has been bad service with no drink refills all 3 times. The only good thing about my breakfast was the waiter Tom. The menu is to big for one thing and the food is not fresh. My eggs Benedict was like eating two hard boiled eggs with powdered hollandaise sauce. The only cream they had was like truck stop food in the little plastic containers and the potatoes where soggy and had no flavor. I've been to Keke's before but today they missed the mark! I went to the counter to put myself on the waitlist. The greeter fumbled with the iPad and then asked for my name and number. I asked about the wait and was told 20 - 25 minutes. I set the alarm on my phone for 20 minutes and waited with my family. Exactly 20 minutes lapsed and my party of three went to the counter. The same young lady who took my number said I didn't arrive so I was removed from the list. I never received a text! We went at 12:00pm and waited a lengthy amount of time for our food. Folks who arrived after us received their food before us. I'm very pregnant and was just wanted to eat. My eggs and bacon was like warm and I had to ask for my chocolate waffle. We ordered a veggie omelet with dry toast and fruit cup, apple topped waffle and a chicken Caesar salad. We enjoyed our coffee while we waited on our food. I love Keke's food and NEVER have any issues when I dine into their restaurant but my biggest issue is their take out service. It seems like every time I make an online order and arrive to pick up my food, there is an issue. Today I went to pick up food (10min after the estimated time the food would be ready) and my order wasn't ready. I waited 30+ minutes to finally get my order, after 4 different associates asked me my name but couldn't provide an update on my order. The Manager on duty finally found my order information after I had been waiting 30 minutes. The Manager then decided to inform me that my order had to be remade, which is why it's taking to long for my order to be complete. Why did it take 30+ minutes for this information to be provided to me? Especially after one of the associates let the manager know that I had been waiting a long time for my order. read more

Came in with a party of four. Food took about 14 minutes, not bad. But when food came out, missing an entree and missing a side of eggs. When the eggs came out they were lukewarm, and not with the requested toppings. When the toppings came out, my eggs were now cold. The missing entree took another 5 minutes to come out. The chefs are just pushing food, they do a good timely job. I tried Keke's Breakfast Cafe in Brandon on my day off recently. I'm okay with dinning alone when I want to try a place that my husband or kids are not particularly fond of experimenting with. I'm the guinea pig that goes in first! I was pleasantly surprised with Keke's and will definitely be back with my husband since he is the resident breakfast lover! In fact, I think Kekes is one of the better breakfast places locally. I recently learned that they're a chain but they originally started in the Orlando area. And I like supporting locally owned establishments! The restaurant was clean, they provided disposable/ throw away menus and individually packaged condiments.... I just didn't like that they sat people in the boothes next to you. During the Covid19 pandemic, restaurants should be more cognizant of seating their customers at least six feet away from the next table, Kekes was not doing this. This is the only reason they are a 4 instead of a 5 in my opinion. Their food, on the other hand, was spectacular!! The pecan waffle was crispy and golden brown like I asked my server to do for me (well done) and loaded with whipped cream! The bacon was a generous portion with the combo ... four pieces! The bacon was thick and flavorful, the home fries were soft and well-seasoned. I also had a cup of hot coffee, which I was offered refills for multiple times. All of the staff seemed happy and to be enjoying their jobs and routines. The customers seemed content. It was a positive vibe and a great way to start the day! read more

Newer entry into Brandon's restaurant scene, coping well despite the Coronavirus pandemic -- taking extensive precautions to protect diners. I love Kiki's for a number of solid reasons: Great food, service and decor. This is the upscale version of the casual restaurant opting to only serve a brunch. Several now dot most of Hillsborough County and are convenient to many diners. I welcome the quiet booths, large tables, and pleasant atmosphere on a busy Sunday morning despite a packed restaurant. Waited an hour for this restaurant because of social distances and only letting in 50% of the people. Once inside my coffee came out warm and I had to get her to heat it back up. I had the western omelet with ham and cheese, house fries were good but greasy. Had to ask for refills constantly and I hate that! We're are all the pro active wait staff at. It's pretty pricy there also. $36 for two people. And they don't have grits either. I think I'm gonna stick with Waffle House or Cracker Barrel instead. Not impressed here at Keke's. The food was delicious and our server Ewa was great! Very helpful with questions and the food came quick! The only thing was they use plastic silverware for whatever reason so I asked the host if I could have real silverware and she never came back so I asked the busser his name was Trent and he quickly found me some. I really appreciated it as it was gonna take me FOREVER to cut my French toast with small plastic silver lol like NO... can't use the excuse Covid anymore either.. THANK YOU TRENT!!!! This Keke's is located in a busy plaza on 60 and Lakewood, and has a strategic location since it is placed in the visible corner adjacent to a lot of other shops and services. Wait time was very short when we came in, and everyone was very courteous. The location was very clean and bright, which is a pleasant surprise since the last Keke's we went to was a little bit dimly lit. Service was good, and food taste and size was very deserving of 4 stars. They have a paperless menu as an option, which I like. I think everything was priced right, and we got our food with a short waiting time (this was early on a Saturday morning, way before the usual rush, the best time to come IMO). There is a ton of parking space, though I am not too big a fan of the parking layout. We will be back! read more

I can't say my experiences here have been consistent. But today really took the cake and so ive averaged the decent with the bad to come up with two stars. My first visit was my sister's treat so I looked at the meal completely objectively and found it decent. Not large portions but not tiny either. We sat in a forward booth closer to the front door and realized on this last visit that was one reason we were able to try Keke's again. The second visit was less pleasant starting with the hostess attempting to seat us next to a screaming baby, 2 young rambunctious kids, and distracted parents who were obviously capable to tuning out their children's needs, whether they be calming the baby's cries or supervising the children running up and down the aisle. We moved to a row 3/4 of the restaurant away and found we could tolerate the noise better but discovered the air conditioning was colder. We pushed through the meal. The final meal today was the last straw. We were sat completely in the back and hoped the air conditioning would go off the whole time. It never did. But the thing that got me was the waitress didn't seem to know the menu. We ordered burgers and she asked if we wanted chips, fries, or sweet potato fries. I asked if they were included. She said yes. I agreed to fries. My husband never specified and received fries too. When we got the bill we were each charged $2 extra for the fries. When I pointed out to her that she had charged us for fries that she said was included she took the bill away and said she'd take it off, mumbling that 'it's in the menu'. Not even a minute later I hear another waitress asking her customers in the next booth if they are okay with the chips or would like to upgrade to fries for an up charge. When the waitress returned I saw she had not removed the fries from our bill but instead gave us a military discount. Given we only had 2 burgers on the bill this did not cover the $4 worth of up charge. I can only say how lucky she is that my husband was paying the bill and gave her a generous tip because I certainly would not have expected to get much for not knowing the menu, upcharging customers without permission, and not properly crediting said up charge.
