This place is a gem! We stopped in and were surprised how big it was. One thing that caught my eye right away was that it was a majority of booths - let's face it, we all want a booth for breakfast! Our server was very kind and helpful. We were all excited to find out for a small charge you could get the silver dollar pancakes with an addition as a side instead of toast. We all took advantage of that. I got the create your own scramble with blueberry pancakes. Let me starts with the scramble - it was prepared well and my veggies were cooked nice in it. Now on to my favorite- the pancakes. They were loaded with blueberries and were so good. The syrup was good but you hardly needed it, the pancake alone was heaven. I was on a extended weekend visit to Sarasota. My bestie said let's ride to St Petersburg. We scooped up her step mom and she had brunch on her mind. They decided we should visit Keke's. This is my first time in the area. The restaurant rinded me of Eggs Up in Georgia. The decor was big booths or half booths, tables and chairs. Accommodating for any one that would like to dine in. Clean spot and we didn't have to wait at all. We pretty much ordered the build your own breakfast combination. One pancake with home fries and sausage and them I added a side of bacon. I had a choice of two eggs or home fries. I chose home fries and glad I did. I also ordered the Banana, Nut & Caramel French Toast. Topped with banana, pecans, caramel and powdered sugar to share with the table. Y'all the food was in hearty sized portions. Nothing stingy about this establishment. The pancake was big enough for two servings or two people. Yes one pancake. It was so light and fluffy. Perfectly browned with crispy edges. It was a delight. Home Fries are the real deal. One thing I don't like about the south as a native of Philadelphia is that they believe a shredded hash brown or hash brown patties is similar to home fries. No it's definitely not the same. I almost cried when they brought me that plate of home fries. They were pan fried/ grilled like I do them at home. The edges were crispy and a little burn on them. Exactly how they should made. My bacon and sausage were memorable and good. The banana nut caramel french toast. What a decadent treat. It doesn't make any sense how good this breakfast was on this day. Keke's 10/10 would recommend. Also Marco G was a pro. We came in late but he treated us like we came it at 8am. Well, like I said there's a first and the last time for everything. We found that this restaurant was in a strip mall storefront that we frequented and decided that we should give it a try. On entering the premises, it stated on the door that Keke's is a franchise and there are stores available. Great. We had the Eggs Your Way breakfast, which is a solid breakfast option with two or three eggs, potatoes, or grits, and toast. The food was good but the potatoes and grits were cold. I decided not to say anything because we had bigger fish to fry. We decided that we wanted to have sourdough with our breakfast. But I don't recall anywhere on the menu that said sourdough was an up-charge and the server did not tell us. Surprise. Joke's on us! Whoever heard of a restaurant up-charging for a toast option unless it's gluten-free and not informing the customer when ordering? The server initially told us that they didn't have a button for sourdough so they use the ciabatta option which is what generated the up-charge. So, I guess there's an up-charge for ciabatta. I spoke with the lead server who said, "that's just the way THEY do it." I responded by telling him that it's just wrong. He was willing to take it off the bill. The service was attentive and I have to give it to Stacy for a great job. At the end she offered coffee to go so maybe, just maybe, there was some redemption. When adding everything up I think I'm going to make every effort to only eat local which is the right thing to do anyway. read more

Keke's is a Florida staple!! Their brunch menu is elite. Our waitress was so sweet and recommended putting cheese and green bell peppers on the Homefries and that really amplified the flavor. I rarely write reviews, but this my experience at Keke's needed to be documented. I went to Keke's for the first time for breakfast this morning. Food was decent, service was slow, but that's not the reason for my low review. I have never experienced such a hostile environment at a restaurant. The hostess was incredibly rude. Even though the restaurant was not very busy and there were three employees at the hostess stand, there were approximately five parties waiting to be seated for several minutes. One customer waiting informed the hostess that their party had not yet been helped, and the hostess gave her a very rude remark. Later, two separate employees got into loud arguments with customers, including the owner's daughter who loudly cussed at someone who asked to speak to a manager. The angry employees continued to storm around the restaurant after the arguments, slamming around menus, dropping things, and generally making it a very uncomfortable experience for everyone in the restaurant. The food was good enough, but I certainly will not be returning to this location because of the extremely rude staff. read more

I came to this restaurant with my family after my brother's graduation. It was very packed because all the schools in the area were having graduation that week. I think the staff was a little overwhelmed but they got the food out reasonably quickly. For my meal, I had the Philly cheesesteak omelette. It was really good and the portion sizes were huge as you can see for from the picture. The onion, cheese, peppers and beef created a nice flavor medley. The hash browns were okay. Went to one in Orlando and it was pretty good so let's give this one a try. In a large strip mall so plenty of parking Upon entering we were told there was a 15 minute wait. It was not crowded so this must be the covid money from the government issue causing a worker shortage. Seen this a lot so just have to be patient Once we were seated which took at least the 15 started looking over the menu. So many things sounded yummy! I got a Buffalo chicken omelette. Didn't how that would go but it was delicious! The potatoes with hame and cheese on top was so good as well. Deb had a pancake that was huge! They come in threes but you can get just one quick unless you are really hungry or want leftovers for a few breakfasts then one will do it! The server agreed that they were not cooked properly. She went to have them remade and was told by the kitchen staff they would not remake them since that was the way they cook them. Thick and fluffy and full of chocolate chips. I loved that the syrup was served on the side in an ways to go container too. The eggs were pretty basic and the breakfast potatoes were a little too peppery for my taste. I'd totally come back for more fun pancakes (or waffles or French toast) because let's be honest that's what I came here for. They had a full menu though with tons of great breakfast options. The back of the menu had tons of lunch choices too. I service was kind and easy going. Checked in the perfect amount of times. This pregnant lady was really pleased with how quickly the food came too. Finally, this is just a total breakfast joint. Keke's did not disappoint one bit. It had a tremendous food selection with quality food, great service and a well kept clean environment! Just keep in mind it is not a fancy place, it is a diner with decent atmosphere. The place has plenty of seating but don't be fooled, there is a wait because it's super popular! My husband ordered the turtle French toast which was massive delicious and extremely filling but it is very much on the sweet side. I ordered fruit on the side for it which made it even tastier. For my order I got an omelet with home fries and the ingredients were fresh, eggs weren't greasy and the quantity was perfect!
