First off, the staff is great, second I ate there four times and three days. I found everything that I had to eat was very well prepared. I especially liked the Greek salad with chicken, and also the Greek scrambler for breakfast. Food and service were both amazing , and I would highly recommend. Price wise about the same as anywhere else local. Give them a try, my in-laws also lived the burgers and chicken dishes. First and foremost: the staff is outstanding!!! I didn't catch names unfortunately but everyone I encountered was super sweet and accommodating. I called to see if reservations were needed for bigger groups but they said just call the day of to be considerate which I did. We had a solid group of folks come through to celebrate my sister as a causal bridal brunch. We were looking for something that was laidback and beachy and the food was superb. I went with an eggs Benedict and the hollandaise sauce was scrumptious! I appreciated the cup on the side so I could dip my potatoes in it too. I love the finger foods at the Gulfside grill, their fish dip is on point, the wings were delicious and their service is fantastic. I love how it works side by side with the sandbox where you have hammocks, a sand pit with marshmallow roasting and a bar that has a very Island feel! Really nice place at the Rumfish Resort, with a great staff. Had breakdast and lunch several times during my stay. French toast and pancakes and bacon were all good. Poolside fare like wings were great, get them plain and unsauced, or try some other variation. Other winners were the hummus which includes roasted veggies. But my favorite of all the offerings was the smoked fish which i got twice and shared with friends. Try it!! read more

The place had a 5 star review when I decided to go with my wife and get breakfast. It's a small place on the first floor of a hotel. The outside seating had some people enjoying meals alongside multiple squirrels that were jumping from table to table. On the inside, we got a table and ordered some coffee. What we got was murky brown water with a taste of yesterdays damp grinds in a plastic mug. The server was nice and the breakfast food was enjoyable, however, the coffee and over look of the place need to be updated. I would only go back for takeout. read more

Do not come here if you are bringing your own fish to cook from a fishing trip. They charge $18 per person no matter how much fish you have to cook. What a great bar and restaurant right on St Pete beach. It's part of the Guy Harvey outpost resort in st Pete beach. This restaurant is pool and beach side. They have great drinks, I had the happy hour shrimp tacos which were delicious, brimming with shrimp. A great deal. This is a fun place to go if you are staying at the resort or just walking down the beach. They also have breakfast, lunch and dinner so all of your dining needs are available there if you are staying at the hotel. For dinner they have light options such as salads, flatbreads or tacos, they also have pan seared grouper, steak and island jerk chicken. Great fruity island themed drinks too, the best kind when you are hanging out at the beach! read more

What a great way to end a day... we were on St Pete Beach waiting for the sunset, this place is known for its beautiful sunsets, when we noticed a huge screen set up on the beach just outside of Guy Harvey's Outpost. We stopped near the screen to watch the sunset as we got another surprise, three dolphin slowly swam by about 20 feet from shore. We were told dolphins usually swim by at sunset, head down here to see them if you're in the area. Beautiful sunset, cool seeing the dolphins, but back to the big screen! The Tampa Bay Lighting hockey team is playing out of town tonight! When the team is out of town Guy's Gulfside Grille is crammed. It's full of area Lightning fans as well as tourists all celebrating the game at Guys party... the huge screen, the Grille grilling hamburgers for the fans (about $10 each), the beach lounges, tables, stools all full of fans all a part of the Lighting celebration. This bar offers great food & drinks plus live music every nite and has a fantastic staff! I look forward to coming back! read more

Harvey Outpost. We stayed at the Guy Harvey but participated in a bar crawl which required eating and drinking in bars + restaurants in both resorts. The pub crawl contest restaurants and bars at the Guy Harvey included Guy's Gulfside Grill, SandBox bar, and the RumFish Grill. No alcohol until 11am, so no Bloody Mary's or Mimosa's. Shameful. Waited almost 20 minutes for our eggs. Over medium came out fried and well done. Burrito was missing salsa and sour cream. Took another 10 minutes to get the attention of a server (at least six were in the kitchen). Eggs tasted strange, like they haven't cleaned the grill. You could taste French Toast flavoring on the eggs and they were very greasy. Initially, the coffee refills were quick. Once the food came out, it was another 10 minutes before we found someone to get us a refill. After asking for the check, it took another 10 minutes. We watched the server carry our check in-and-out of the kitchen multiple times. They did refund the price of the eggs, and eventually brought out salsa and sour cream. All told, we spent an hour and a half for what should've taken at most 30 minutes. PASS! read more

Visited Guys Gulfside on two occasions for lunch and breakfast. The first time service was good- servers were kind and prompt but portions are very small for the price. Menu is also very limited. The second visit we asked a waitress for menus. No one ever brought menus after asking twice so we left after 20 minutes- although staying at Guy Harvey we will not be back. read more

We stayed at the Guy Harvey Outpost on a recent adult vacation getaway. This is the on site restaurant. Super convenient, open 7am-10pm. We had breakfast here twice and dinner once. Both times service was excellent, super fast and friendly!! Breakfast: I just had toast, I'm not much of a breakfast person, but it was good. As much as you can expect from toast. Hubby had a burrito one day and an inlet the next. Both good and filling. Prices are a little steep, but in line with what I'd expect from a restaurant located at a resort. Honestly the super quick and friendly service makes it worth it. Also, we enjoyed being able to hop off the beach barefoot and in suits, to grab a bite to eat. For dinner we had the fish tacos and nachos, both good. Once again, if you are staying on site eat here. The food is good and the few extra dollars are worth the convenience! read more

Great location and horrible service. Waited 15 mins with 4 people at the bar with not even a greeting as the bartenders continued to just stand there and talk to each other. We finally decided to just leave and go elsewhere. Even the tapping of the credit card after the first 10 mins didnt even work! Atmosphere was pretty dead but again contribute that to lack of service. With a location like this, I would really hope this is something that is corrected. read more

This place was no frills, in front of a hotel pool with a small view of the ocean. But don't let that fool you. The service is darling and the food was so much better than we anticipated. It's a great little lunch shack in my opinion, but they serve the same menu for lunch and dinner. Loved the peel and eat shrimp - I only wish more came in the appetizer serving. My husband and I both enjoyed the flatbed appetizer for a meal. There's steak, arugula and blue cheese offered on the menu and the chicken with swiss and onions and mushrooms was the special. While the chicken flatbread didn't have the same plate presentation as the steak, it was absolutely delicious. They had a kids menu as well, which offered hot dogs, hamburgers, mac and cheese and the like. There's a full bar (a few steps away) that services the restaurant so you can get your drink on as well. The service was so lovely. Tina was our server and she was not only sweet and on the ball, but she bought us a piece of cake in honor of a birthday we were celebrating. She really was great which made our dining experience that much more enjoyable. read more

Let me put it this way: Got our appetizer (mahi mahi fingers), and immediately asked for our check. No bar in the place, any drinks ordered would have to be retrieved from the lobby bar. (Huh?? Isn't this a resort? No fuss, no muss?) Hubby's drink couldn't be made because the particular vodka he wanted was locked up in the pool bar, closed for the day. (Again ... huh??) He then chose a Long Island iced tea, and it took 15 mins to show up. I ordered a mango margarita, got a mango daiquiri, and I was done with it before hubby's drink showed up. Mahi tasted like stiffly compacted piles of cardboard. Pretty stunning they were so bad. We were mortified at the idea of ordering dinner, so we left. Immensely disappointing for a place with such a namesake at a resort that dotes on guests wanting for nothing. read more
