Raisin Bran Crunch: With all the imaginative cereals available in today's market, Raisin Bran probably is not the one most people are going to rush to (especially kids). Don't get me wrong, the classic Raisin Bran is actually one of my favorite "healthy" cereals. Adding raisins to wheat flakes is nothing new as Raisin Bran dates back to 1926, but it wasn't until 1999 that Raisin Bran Crunch was introduced. Kellogg's has taken their classic cereal and dressed it up with crunchy honey-oat granola clusters. All in all, the cereal is comprised of wheat bran flakes and raisins along with those aforementioned clusters. Eating the cereal dry (as I usually do for a snack), the flakes are crispy, sweet, and flavorful. Just as described the granola clusters are pleasantly crunchy and have hints of both honey and what tastes to me like vanilla. Raisin Bran is one of the rare varieties that I think can be improved by pairing with milk. As much as I enjoy the flakes being crispy, I'm weird and also like when they soften up with milk. As far as breakfast cereals go, this one does offer some health benefits (4 grams of fiber and 17 grams of whole grains per serving), enough that in my opinion justifies this for moderately healthy snack. Tip: Some of the company's products offered in Canada include Corn Flakes, Rice Krispies, and Special K. My take on the Kellogg Company is from the Canadian perspective because that's all that I know. W.K. Kellogg founded the company over a century ago. The first product that this company made was corn flakes that were toasted. I love getting Corn Flakes. They were introduced to Canada in 1914. The Canadian lineup of products that Kellogg Company makes these days are the following: - Frosted Flakes - Froot Loops - Mini Wheats! - Special K - Rice Krispies - Raisin Bran - Corn Flakes - Corn Pops! - Apple Jacks - Vector - Krave - Muslix - All-Bran - Crispix - Wednesday - Squishmallows The last two are limited editions. I recently bought the Squishmallows cereal. I like that there are marshmallows shaped as Cam the cat. The loops are crispy. The cereal is sweet, but not too sugary. I get Special K, Corn Flakes, and Rice Krispies in rotation. They don't have as much sugar as the other cereals that Kellogg makes. I like how crunchy they are. I make Rice Krispies squares often. I do a brown butter version of them, which makes them even more addictive. I like the various Special K varieties. The red berries are so good. I tend to get the family-sized Corn Flakes. I go through that cereal fairly quickly, so it's worth going big. I sometimes get Crispix if Chex isn't on sale. They both are similar. I'm glad that the Kellogg company endures. I like Kellogg's! I was never a fan of Frosted Flakes because they were too sweet for my pallet. Interestingly enough, Kellogg Company separated its North American cereal business into two independent, public companies: Kellanova, and WK Kellogg Company in October 2023. WK Kellogg Co. is cereal-centric, and Kellanova's offerings run the gamut from various bars, Pop-Tarts, Eggos, and Pringles to various crackers and more. Growing up, cereal wise, I liked Kellogg's Special K cereal. I tried Kellogg's All Bran cereal and just did not care for it. On the other hand, I've enjoyed Pop-Tarts, Eggos and Nutrigrain bars over the years, have never meet a Cheez-It I didn't like, or a Pringles chip! I like the Kellogg's crackers: Club crackers, Carr's water crackers (which are great chassis' for caviar), and Townhouse crackers. In my bodybuilding days, I ate a lot of plain Eggos topped with apple butter, and a lot of Pop Tarts with the frosting scraped off of them. Nutritionally, back then, neither products were high in fat and they were filling and inexpensive. One of my early weekend jobs was as a food demonstrator when new grocery stores would open, or host a grand re-opening. My favorite product to demo was caviar and I served them atop a Carr's Table Water Cracker, a very light spread of cream cheese, and then topped each cracker with the caviar. This was a special treat I would grant myself to celebrate an event like my birthday, or receiving a raise or any other milestone! Thanks Kellogg's Carr's! For Kellogg's Pringles, my favorites are: Original, Salt and Vinegar, and Lightly Salted. Kellogg's offers a huge variety of flavors these days. Kellogg Company got its start in 1906 making corn flakes, one of my absolute favorite cereals. Since then they have added many brand and varieties many of us love. Among them are Rice Krispies, Fruit Loops, Frosted Flakes, Apple Jacks, Pop Tarts, Eggo Waffles, Cheez-it's, Pringle's, Keebler, and more! I have never had a bad experience with Kellogg's and have bought many of their products through the years. In fact, Rice Krispies is one of my favorite cereals ever! A while back when I needed to call them on a issue at one the stores that carried their products, they were friendly and responsive and had the issue resolved with their retailer. My fondest early Dad memories are sitting on our front porch, at night, after he got home from 2nd shift at the mill. We would sit, mostly on silence, while we ate a big bowl of Kellogg's Corn Flakes, it was a pretty regular ritual and I cherished those special moments. While I have been a consumer of so many Kellogg's products for my entire life. The aforementioned Corn Flakes, Rice Krispies, Special K, Cheerios, Raisin bran, Apple Jacks, and more, plus the occasional Pop-Tarts or Eggo or Nutri-Grain or Special K bars have found there way into my breakfast diet over the years. Then snack wise who doesn't dig some Cheez-It crackers, Famous Amos cookies, or Pringles? Seriously ;-) I've probably tried about everything the make, well maybe not the MorningStar Farms veggie burgers, but if I put them in a couple Eggo waffles, who knows what might happen. LOL But the reason for this review is to rave about my latest Kellogg's discovery. Thanks to spending nearly 5 days in the hospital, with my sweetheart, I made multiple trips to the vending machines where, by chance, I hit the button for Cheez-It Snap'd chips. I saw baked, Cheddar Sour Cream & Onion, and 100% real cheese and thought why not. Sure, I will admit to eating an entire box of Cheez-It's in one sitting, and I've had the Puff'D, Grooves, Duoz, as well as Extra Crunchy and the Snack Mix but there's something special about Snap'd. They've definitely found my sweet spot with light, crunchy, cheesey goodness that will no doubt be my future favorite cracker of choice. Bottom line: Kellogg's has been a household name for over 100 years, and next 100 are looking pretty good. I will be Cheez-It Snap'd customer for years to come!!
