I got proposed in Disneyland and I really wanted a Disney wedding. We ended up booking The Grand Californian Hotel and Spa. While Disney provides us with a Disney wedding planner and team, we were also going to have a ceremony at Christ Cathedral since for a Catholic wedding we have to do the ceremony in a church. Due to this, we wanted a wedding planner who can coordinate everything. We chose Kelly and her team due to a recommendation from a friend. Kelly we hired her as a day of coordinator but she would have monthly emails/ virtual meetings and even more meetings the month of. She had many meetings with the Disney wedding planner too. She also gave recommendations for vendors who would fit my vision. I needed a florist with my vision and who was creative and she delivered. Kelly also takes care of the COI for the hotel as well so you do not have to. During the day of, Kelly came to the church herself, but the reception she had a full on team of three assistants. They set up my personal elements, and Jenny was there at my side the whole time. She made sure I had water, drinks and food as brides so not always get food LOL. Kelly also helped with my ao dai. The zipper broke! She pinned me up and it looked good. Without her, I do not know what to do. Some people even came up to me and was like wow. You have so many people working for you and that was Kelly and her team! I felt like an actual princess with them helping me with my shoes, dress and eating. This is a delayed review but I just want to thank Kelly and her team for an amazing experience. Initially when we started wedding planning, I wasn't sure if a day-of-coordinator would be needed but oh my goodness, her team was such a blessing to have on the day of my wedding. We had to delay our wedding twice because of COVID but Kelly maintained monthly check-ins and communication throughout the entire 2+ years. Within about two months out, she started gathering all the information needed to make the day run smoothly. I am an over-planner and my own scheduling was detailed to the 15-min interval, but Kelly's timeline for the day of got that covered! She handled all the vendor communications, before and during the day of the wedding, and did everything that needed to be done so I had nothing to worry about. Her team is also SO PREPARED. At about 10am just when photos were to start, my earrings broke. Cue internal panicking as I did not have a backup pair. In pops Jenny, who carried with her a glue gun just for mishaps like this. I keep telling everyone this story whenever they asked about my wedding experience because it just highlights how wonderfully prepared the team is. Also, can I just say that Jenny is the absolute GOAT? She was the main coordinator who stayed with us the entire night and was the nicest person ever! She constantly checked in on us, gave us water/food/drinks even without us asking for it, gave us reminders about what's coming next, and packed us our dinner that we didn't have time to eat (including our late night snacks). She even reminded us to take our photobooth pictures beforehand because we'd be too busy afterwards (and she was right!). She was also super wonderful with my parents, who are quite elderly and didn't speak English. They had a ride coming to pick them up after the wedding and I couldn't be there to help them, but I had asked Jenny to help them gather their stuff and lead them to the waiting area. My mom said she was super polite and wouldn't leave until she made sure both my parents were safely in the car. Just in case you want to know the person behind this rating: I would be rated as one of the most indecisive and finicky brides on a budget. I can't rant and rave enough how INCREDIBLE Kelly is and her team KDWP! They are the ultimate team!! My Husband and I decided to plan a wedding in less than 7months, which didn't allow us to have a lot of funds to splurge. One of the best things we ever did was to have Kelly Duprat be our coordinator. After meeting with Kelly for the first time, you just knew she was the right person. I hired Kelly for only "Day of Coordinator" but she went above and beyond just a Day of Coordinator, she became my confidant for the next 7 months up to my wedding. Kelly is extremely responsive, courteous, respectful, professional and ORGANIZED!!! Every conversation and emails from Kelly leading up to the wedding day were extremely informative and helpful for this bride with very limited time. We had a wedding of 200 people to plan. Seriously, hind sight 20/20, we would have just hired Kelly for the WHOLE WEDDING PLANNING! Fast forward to the week of our wedding- Kelly, did the unbelievable!! Kelly and her team coordinated my wedding nearly 6 years ago. They have been nothing but professional and helpful. Since then, I have followed Kelly on all of her social media, and I can NOT believe what others are saying about her. She was HACKED - one time, and now so many people are going onto her Yelp account to make her look bad. Funny how all these people who are leaving her bad reviews have never met her, let alone, work with her. I am really furious for her. You all should really at least meet her and/or work with her before leaving any reviews. read more

We hired Kelly as a same day coordinator for our wedding in September at Hyatt OC. Why? Because she was the same day coordinator for my then future wife's friend's wedding. And my then future wife noticed Kelly was personally making sure the bride ate during a step and repeat and my then future wife was like, I want that during our wedding. Why Kelly was worth it: - She's extremely experienced and it shows in a ton of ways. One is she's aware of what needs to happen X months before the wedding day and helps you plan. During the first meeting, she went through all our vendors and helped us flag services we weren't aware of. Another is that she has connections with most vendors around the LA/OC area. Few months before the wedding, we had an issue with a props vendor that kept asking us every month for the same information and screwed up the billing. After getting frustrated, we told Kelly, she knew the owner and called him and it was fixed in a couple days. Note that this was a month before, and we'd only hired Kelly for the day of. - She's extremely meticulous. She creates a timeline well before the wedding, lines up all the vendors, lines up all the wedding party, includes email addresses, contact information, etc and contacts all the vendors herself and gets everyone on the same page. We kept a copy of her timeline. - She's EXCELLENT at putting out fires. Just like the props vendor problem she fixed in a day, night before our wedding, she helped fix an insurance issue so we could take wedding party photos at the LA Arboretum and during the reception, she had to call security on someone who got wasted and was trying to fight my groomsman and the reception moved on. - She's pretty much the motor throughout the day. If you guys ever been to an Asian wedding with 25+ tables and the drunk wedding party has to move from drunk table to drunk table and take photos and shots of Cognac, Kelly is the coordinator making sure everyone moves along and the timeline doesn't go off track. She does this whole day: she moves things along so you don't have to think about time. - Her and her team are extremely hard working. We had a one hour step and repeat (where the couple has to stand in front of a backdrop and take pictures with guests) and her team made sure we ate and had water. End of the night, Kelly was one of the last ones to leave. I see her in a chair, tired, making sure that everything is cleaned up and everything is cool with the hotel. This stuck in my mind because it contrasts with another wedding I went to, where the same day coordinator went home around 10 and everyone was wondering where the hell she went. - She thinks about the things that you probably never thought of or won't be able to think about during the wedding. For example, our cake topper, centerpieces, props and signs for the check in table, guestbook, food that you didn't get to eat, extra cake, extra alcohol that you brought but didn't get served, and other stuff I can't remember - Kelly and her team boxed them up at the end of the night and dropped them off in our hotel room before midnight. That's a huge amount of work that I didn't even think of until I saw it in the hotel room. On top of that, her team left a trail of rose petals inside the room to surprise my wife and I at the end of the night when we came back to the room. It was an awesome touch. So yeah, she's worth it. If I had to do this wedding again, I wouldn't do it without her because there were quite a few instances during the night that would've turned into a mess if she wasn't there and she kept things going and held it together. And yeah I know there's this hacking thing going on but I will personally vouch for Kelly's character. If someone can prove she wasn't hacked, post proof and I will delete this review. But I seriously doubt a grown woman with husband and kids who just filmed a promo video to move her business forward is gonna suddenly go on social media and start trash talking random people like a 16 year old. I also know the OC wedding industry is cutthroat (that wedding I mentioned up top where the coordinator left at 10, the following week the coordinator and the caterer were both trashing each other on yelp and getting their friends involved, writing fake reviews and other stupid stuff) so I believe her when she says she didn't do it. And her rep and ability is so good, I really think in the long term, this hacking thing is not gonna do much except make her start changing her password. Seriously, we are so glad we got a day of coordinator. Kelly is all that and more. She is so sweet, thoughtful, nice but she also means business. She was so helpful from day one, recommending vendors and is always quick to answer emails or messages. She works efficiently yet is so patient, especially when you need to make last minute changes. From all the days leading up to our special day, Kelly made sure we had everything we needed. The day before our wedding, she came by to pick up everything she could to relieve us from stress of carrying things to the venue ourselves. Kelly and her team worked their magic to set up everything to our expectations. Her team are also so sweet and nice. They made sure our wedding day ran smoothly, in which it did! Kelly made sure we ate, she would feed us in between photo ops and made sure we drank enough water. She made sure we stayed on time with our timeline, which was so organized. She would help you change, made sure events during your wedding goes smoothly. I can't say enough about everything she did. She made our day so stress free! At the end of the night, Kelly and her team packed everything back up and took everything home for us! We could just enjoy the night, party with friends and go home! The next day, she dropped everything off for us at our home. I mean, seriously... who does that? Kelly does all that and MORE! Don't think twice, just book her if you want a STRESS free wedding day! I did not worry about a thing. I was definitely one of those brides who stayed in the moment with guests, danced a ton and had the best day of her life. Kelly was most helpful. What I appreciated the most was her quick respond to all my countless emails. I mostly worked with Christine for my day-of wedding. I had a small intimate wedding of 50 in a steakhouse. I thought it'd be easier-a small wedding, but the details are the same and probably even more noticeable. Christine was extremely detailed oriented and kept us on time during the ceremony. She helped coordinate with the venue and also with my photographer to stay an extra hour. Thank you so much for Kelly and her team for making our dream wedding come true. We actually booked her last minute and we were so happy that even though she wasn't available that day her junior coordinator Lily was available. Right when we agreed to move forward, Kelly, in the background, had already planned our timeline and was asking us questions and raising gaps that we would never had thought of. Her attention to details and her quick decisions based on her experience made our planning so easy! She was always in the planning process with Lily. During the actual wedding, Lily was amazing, taking on issues that popped up that my husband and I were def not ready to handle. Lily resolved our issues with bad flowers, vendors not providing the service we needed, all the while keeping our wedding moving. We were even early for both our ceremony and reception due to her non stop prepping and direction. They even packed everything into all the boxes and placed it in the car. Their team took care of us and our families during the day to allow for us to just enjoy our day. I'm a business owner of a photobooth company, and I had the opportunity to work with Kelly Duprat Wedding Planner recently. That were absolutely fantastic to work with, that I had to come on their Yelp page to share my enthusiasm about their service! I worked with Christine, and she was super easy to work with and made the whole process super smooth for us! She followed up with me on a regular basis by email and by phone to make sure I have all the details I needed for the wedding we were servicing, and planned out the logistics & timeline with me to make sure everything was smooth sailing for the bride & groom, and all of their guests. I was provided with detailed maps for parking along with a detailed map of the venue and where our setup location was, along with a drawing of the easiest way to get to my setup location (so that I won't interrupt any guests or ongoing activities). I'm so impressed with just the map itself, that I'm going to post it on their Yelp page. :) Upon arrival, Christine came out to greet me and walked me over to exactly where I was set up, and made sure that I had everything I needed like table, electricity, and vendor meal. :) They are super easy to work with! We used her service for our wedding, we were very satisfied, so here goes our review and our 5 stars rating. We absolutely loved Kelly and her team!! I can't say enough about how much we appreciate their help on our wedding day. I hired her junior coordinator Christine because in the beginning I felt like I could do all of the planning myself and only needed to hire a day of coordinator as our venue required one. Of course after my wedding, I realized I should've just gotten the whole package! Here is an excerpt from the review I wrote for Christine which I sent to another bride who was inquiring. Our wedding day was absolute smooth sailing because of Christine and her team. They ushered guests to seats for the ceremony, set up all my gifts/seating chart, etc., set up all my reception tables, cleaned my bridal suite (put all our stuff in cars - which must've been a nightmare because the bridal suite was a disaster), basically every little behind the scenes thing, their team took care of and my family and I were free to enjoy our day. We worked with Kelly and Christine Luong (her junior coordinator) as our day-of coordinator. Christine was the main coordinator as Kelly was in late stage pregnancy. Although Kelly still helped in the background, and was present and provided guidance at all our meetings. Together, Christine and Kelly provided tremendous services that made our wedding an awesome event. It was a blast and we owe a lot of that to the KDWP team's professionalism and hard work. These guys know what they're doing. And for a very good price too! (I'm a value-conscious person and shopped around a bit). A few things the KDWP team did that we really appreciated - They were so organized before the wedding. They knew the things we needed to prep in order to make things go smoothly. Even if we didn't know them they would ask us and tell us what to prepare. They worked with all our vendors (DJ, caterer, photog., florist) on coordinating the day-of schedule, so we did not need to correspond with all the different parties. During the wedding, we didn't have to deal with the vendors at all - even paying them was done by Christine after we prepped payments for her. All of this allowed us to really be fully present and enjoy the special moment with our community. Another major props is that we had an aggressive schedule and they kept us on time! Finally, their team also made sure my husband and I got to eat and drink. This was such a nice gesture and surprising since our friends who have gotten married basically said don't even expect to have time to eat at your own wedding. Basically, because of them, the day-of was really fun for us. Several guests came up to us and asked "Who is the lady with the clipboard? She is really organized."
