Where to start.... Talked Mama into buying midline GE he washer and matching dryer (along with extended warranty service contracts) from Oldfield's right before they changing over to Kelly's. The washer has never worked correctly even after many service calls and parts replacements and when Kelly's took over there was no longer a service department and the service contract was no longer honored, Say What ? So I take a 15 mile round trip to do laundry at my brothers house in the GE front loaders I bought from Oldfield's over 10 years ago that still work well. So fast forward 5 years of doing this we are able to save up to buy new units and not from Kelly's and not GE branded anything from now on. Buy from a reputable dealer not this establishment. Yes I am Not Pleased to say the least, and it's not from unrealistic expectations. read more

We purchased all new appliances for our kitchen remodel, last April, at Kelly's in Salem. The refrigerator turned out to have a small dent and a scratch on one of the doors. I have called Kelly's numerous times and been told the door is on order. Considering that Kelly's advertises constantly, I have a hard time believing they can't get me a new door. I've asked for a new frig, but get no response. Having spent thousands at Kelly's over 20 years. I am highly dissatisfied. It would be difficult to convince me to buy from them again. read more

Couldn't have had a better experience. Our salesperson was knowledgeable and professional as he helped us select a 36" dual fuel pro range for our home. Terrible delivery and set up. Purchased four new appliances. Had to send the first GE Profile range back, as the oven would not heat past 150 degrees. Also, the guy who installed both ranges was lazy. He left my oven literally on blocks. Said he could not connect to the existing gas connection. Like I'm the first person this ever happened to, he said I would need to call a professional to connect it properly. I am truly disappointed I made such a large purchase with these types of people. Shame on you, all. I'd rate them much lower if it were possible. read more

They delivered the wrong dishwasher. Without opening the box I drove it 200 miles away to my home. Ended up bringing it back to get the right one. Walk in to ask to get the exchange. Very rude lady at the front desk. The whole time she was rude along with a couple more employees. Not one sorry or compensation for there mistake. read more

My experience of buying an appliance here was fine, the problem was when that appliance started having issues within the warranty period. The customer service regarding my appliance was awful. I never received callbacks from staff who said they would return my call, information was not kept track of (and inaccurate given this) and I ended up doing a lot of leg work that staff said they would be taking care of. I extended a lot of grace given staffing shortages, etc. but I believe the poor customer service I experienced was not due to that. I will not purchase from them again and can not recommend them. read more

Never again. I bought a stove, fridge, and dishwasher from these folks. I have had significant difficulty with the fridge and the stove. I resolved the difficulties, however, in the process I found out that my sales person basically lied about what was covered under the extended warranty. The salesman told me that all plastic bins were covered under the extended warranty. He used the cost of the bins to sell the warranty. I experienced crack in two of the bins. When I went in to Kelly's, previously Oldfield's, they asked me who misrepresented the warranty and they laughed and commented, "yep that was Mr. So and So from Oldfield's. I hate to tell you guys, but chuckling, and offering nothing is not good customer service. I was told by the Kelly's guy that they could perhaps receive an accommodation from their GE by representative, but I'm still waiting for an answer from Kelly's. I went ahead and contacted GE myself. I bit the bullet and took their offer of a significant discount on the bins. I bought a whole set, as its most likely more will fail. I made a point to buy local, but won't be going back Kelly's. Buying appliances these days is a contact sport. I usually try to buy from the best local dealer, but local loyalty doesn't count anymore. I'll do my research and just go with the best price from now on. read more

If I could rate at negative 10 stars it wouldn't be enough! DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM THESE PEOPLE! They WILL NOT provide service for the products they sell you. After the sale, after my check cleared and after the appliances were (inconveniently) delivered, Jamie (the salesman that made a commission based on $20,000+) was rude, dismissive and unwilling to provide service on the Uline refrigerator and Thermador stovetop he was more than willing to sell us. Instead, he chose to lecture us on how we had been told that there WOULD be a problem converting gas to propane when we bought the unit. In fact, no one had said anything close to that when we were in their showroom (again, spending well over $20,000). Jamie actually told us that there would be no problems converting to propane at all. It turns out that there was a problem and it was Kelly's. We've had repeated trouble with one of the Uline refrigerators and Kelly's drug their feet before they RELUCTANTLY sent us a new Uline. When the new one developed a problem within 3 days, our contractor contacted Kelly's directly. That was over 6 weeks ago and we still have a fridge that keeps things barely at room-temp. DO NOT BUY FROM KELLY'S APPLIANCES IN EUGENE! IF YOUR CONTRACTOR TRIES TO TAKE YOU THERE, REFUSE TO GO! Insist on another supplier! read more

After two weeks of use, my Electrolux washing machine seems to be a gem. The service at this company was excellent and the salesperson, Jonathan, was accommodating,helpful and knowledgeable as I needed a very specific machine to fit in a tight space. I did everything on the phone with him and avoided a140 mile round trip! The delivery come at the agreed upon time and the young guys that brought and installed the unit were polite and totally competent. I had tried to get a washing machine at both Lowe's and The Home Depot and they were equally unresponsive and dismissive. My positive experience at Kelly's will definitely make them my first choice in the future for purchasing major appliances. read more

We purchased a full set of kitchen appliances from Kellys when we remodeled the kitchen in our condo. Lorenzo Vazquez sourced the units we wanted and arranged deliveries to fit in with our schedule. When the kitchen floor cabinet required modification to allow the under counter cooker to be shoehorned in Lorenzo arranged a finish carpenter to do the work for us. Two years later when we decided to renew the clothes washer we didn't hesitate to call Lorenzo with the order. Washer was delivered within a week. His two installers were very cognizant of our requirement for social distancing (difficult in an upper floor condo) and did an excellent swap out installation. We are totally satisfied with Kellys. I stopped in Oldfield's to purchase a new washing machine and was greeted pleasantly enough. I had previously selected four models with the help of Consumer Reports (CR) and other review sites. I also knew Oldfield's had them from their website. The salesman who greeted me showed me to the models . . . well, two of them. I looked at a Whirlpool model, with a CR estimated price of $800. The in-store price was $899.99, which surprised me. First, most places beat the estimates from CR. Second, the Oldfield's website listed that same model for $720! I showed the printed web page with the price from their own site, and the salesman responded, "well, I don't know where they got those prices." We then looked at a Maytag, which was $1200 in store, about $100 more than the price listed on CR and $155 more than their own website. Again, the salesman offered no help with the discrepancy. The salesman then pointed me to an Electrolux model. "This is the next model I would buy." This is where the interaction got a little weird. He no longer seemed interested in what I wanted. And honestly, I was surprised that he would spend $2000 for his "next model." This came across as pure salesmanship, in the car-dealer sense. In addition, CR rated 34 models better than the best-rated Electrolux, and the model he liked wasn't even the best Electrolux. There were probably 50 or 60 models rated better. BTW, CR rates models on their ability to actually clean, energy and water efficiency, and their noise and vibration, all things that salesmen would know nothing about other than product propaganda from manufacturers. Interestingly, tho, they posted CR ratings on some of their machines, but the salesman seemed surprised when I said, "oh, here you have the Consumer Reports reviews." I then asked about an LG. I was told that LGs are horrible because they break all the time. They, like the Samsung (my third choice) were apparently unreliable. Now I had looked at repair histories in CR, too, and LG and Samsung had the least major repairs, at 6% & 7%, respectively, of all brands from a survey of 92,000 readers. In contrast, Whirlpool and Maytag had 12% repair histories, and some were worse. He pointed out that CR did not offer good information. So I wonder, do I believe a salesman's experience with *sales* to a maybe a few dozen people or the experience of 90,000 plus respondents to the CR survey? Tough choice. I moved on to two other stores. Both had my top choice Whirlpool and Maytag models, and both stores were much, much cheaper. Home Depot had the Whirlpool at $720. That's $180 cheaper than Oldfield's. Lowe's had it for $630! That's $270 less than Oldfield's! Lowe's also had the Maytag, $1200 at Oldfield's, for just $805, so I bought it. I saved nearly $400 and received free delivery and removal of my broken machine. I do not necessarily recommend those particular stores, but I simply want to point out that they, like probably many other stores, had much better prices (and more friendly salespeople). So no, Oldfield's is not an option. My first trip to Oldfield's, back in 2002, was very good. This is the second trip since, and both the last two have been poor (at best). The experience with the sales staff was a bit creepy, and their prices were ridiculously high, 50% higher than the competition. I will no longer waste my time with Oldfield's. read more

We have purchased many appliances from Oldfield's since building our home 20 years ago. Recently, as we begin to replace those appliances we went to Oldfield's only to find out they have merged with Kelly's appliances. Since that merge the customer service has gone rapidly downhill, surpassed only by their unreliability. In two months I've purchased a washer/dryer set and a new refrigerator. Both times the item I purchased was delayed over a week from the promised delivery date. Most recently the fridge I ordered was out of stock. They offered a replacement that could still be delivered on the original date. I was promised a morning delivery time, only to be told that my delivery time was 1:00-3:00. I was given that information at 4:30 the night before, and I had to call three times to get that. When I expressed my deep dissatisfaction with my recent purchases, I was told by the sales person, "I'm sorry. It really hurts my heart to hear that." Knowing what Oldfield's used to represent in customer service, and what they've become I certainly wouldn't recommend them unless you don't care what you end up with or when you get it. read more

I called Kelly's, explained the situation, and gave them a budget. They helped us through the options, and installed the equipment as promised with no issues. I've been in Oldfield's twice now. Both times to look at refrigerators. The first time was after I'd just bought a new house and I needed a new stainless steel fridge. No one ever came up to me in the store. I was there about 20 minutes and finally just left since there was no customer service. The second time, yesterday, was for a work appliance, again a fridge for our break room . We only had a budget of $500 and went to the location on Conger where they have the dented and scratched appliances. We found one for $549 and probably could have stretched our budget. But when we told the guy we had hoped to find something for under $500 he just said "Good Luck" and walked away. I will never go to Oldfield's again, whether personal with a decent budget, or work related... read more

Our 15 yo old oven died in May 2021 and we looked up a GE Profile gas stove with good reviews. We chose Kelly's because we wanted to avoid a "box store". The salesman we worked with at Kelly's, Cody, was helpful but explained that due to Covid-related factory issues we would not get delivery on our Profile until September. We then chose an equivalent Bosch model that was available. So far, so good. Our stove is built into an island and requires a specialized technician. After contacting the only installation specialist they listed, it took a few weeks to get a home visit. He didn't seem too comfortable with the complexity of the task and said he would get back to us once the oven arrived at Kelly's warehouse. Two months go by with no oven. Finally he got back to us and said he was too busy. We then called Kelly's to find when the oven would arrive and to find another installer. Much to our surprise the oven had been there for the last three months, and apparently we were supposed to call weekly! A they gave us the name of another installer who promptly came over and agreed to do it. Another month goes by, but at last he got the oven in and working fine. We had to order a exhaust fan for the cooktop when we bought the oven, and it arrived at the warehouse at the same time as the oven, but was given to another customer by mistake! So now our installer has to make a second trip to our house once the fan is finally here. There was some poor communication between us and Kelly's I would take issue with. I understand Covid has turned the would upside down and cars, computer chips, and appliances can be hard to find. Living without an oven for four months is maybe a "first world" problem to complain about. Nonetheless a pretty frustrating experience. read more

The 5 stars are for Bryan and his dedication to customer service. We were impressed by his quick responses, sincerity and efforts to understand and to make right a serious breech of customer confidence. With today's expenses, tight budgets, mfr's cutting corners and cost at the expense of the customer, dwindling customer satisfaction and poor after-sales support, is it any wonder brick & mortar stores are losing out to Internet sales? We prefer the human touch and are grateful when we can walk into a store and touch, see and feel the product in person. One last note: most appliance sales people are on commission and usually a pecking order of who gets who (sometimes based solely on the customer's shoes!). Perhaps our salesperson was just a bad fit for us. So in the future we will not hesitate to ask for a different sales person if this or a similar situation arises in the future. read more

I bought a refrigerator and a stove for around $2000 each. I have had the refrigerator serviced four times and one problem is still not fixed. The ice melts and causes an ice block that sticks the drawer to the bottom. The stove has five burners and three burners don't work, when you go to light them the clicks and sparks happen on the two burners that are working. They have been a nightmare. The sales guy Bryan Mumme was great, but everyone else (including the extended warranty company) has been horrible.They refuse to refund and my brand new expensive appliances are crap. The delivery guys just left after delivering our new Magtag Electric Dryer for a $49.00 charge which we understood included setup. Plus $20.00 for the dryer duct kit and another $20.00 for adding the 3W30AMP power cord. The door opened the wrong way but we were told it would be reversed for free. Well, we aren't able to use it yet because they couldn't finish the ducting and the door hadn't been reversed. The lack of reversing the door is particularly frustrating because the salesperson, Janet, repeatedly told us how it would be done "FOR FREE". When we first went in Janet talked us out of comparison shopping and now we wish we had tried other stores. We've since found multiple scratches on the machine and discovered the delivery truck hit & displaced a railroad tie along our driveway to keep vehicles from driving into a small stream, on their way out. Also, according to the instructions, a strain relief should have been added before the cord was connected. read more

I went in today to do some price comparison on washers and dryers. The salesman was in sales mode immediately, even though I indicated I was just comparison shopping, so that was irritating. When I let him know my price point, he was rude and condescending. I left angry and disappointed. If I were willing to reconsider my budget, he definitely didn't help change my mind. And in the future should I be interested in overpriced appliances, I will not consider Oldfield's. read more

This is the first poor review I've ever left for a business but I feel that we have been done completely wrong by Kelly's. We ordered a fridge in July, bought a cheap one to get by while we wait for the arrival of the one we ordered and it is now almost Feb with a new March estimated ETA. Each month we're told either the fridge is on track for delivery within a week or pushed back an additional month. We know times are tough right now but we've been patient and inquired about about ETA of the same fridge if we ordered from Home Depot and have been given better timelines. The communication and customer service has been the most disappoint part. At this point I'm wondering if it'll be a whole year before we get our fridge. read more

Fantastic customer service, especially Todd Edgar. We walked out of Best Buy because we couldn't find anyone interested in helping us, only chatting with other employees. As soon as we walked in the door at Kelly's, we knew it was different. Todd walked up to us and asked how he could help. We told him what we were looking for. He was very knowledgeable about the differences between the ones that we researched. We decided on the right one for us and was ready to make our purchase. While he was going over all the warranty options, I walked over and talked to a very nice young lady (I'm so sorry I didn't get her name) about new gadgets for my new pressure cooker. She was so sweet recommended a few things and explained why and how she used them. (I bought them all ;-} So in less than 30 minutes, we made our purchases, set up a delivery time but most importantly, we felt like people who were appreciated and welcomed. From this day on, we will be Kelly's lifelong customers.!!!! read more

Before you go purchase another electrical item, stop by this store room first. If you refused your dryer because it had a ding, they drop it off here. It totally rocks price wise, and the selection changes all the time. As long as you don't mind a minor imperfection, I say check this place out. Pete at Kelly's sold me a washer, a dryer, and a dishwasher. He is incredibly competent and caring. Pete does everything possible to research which model and brand would be best if you need guidance. He does everything possible to make certain the installation goes smoothly. He is also a terrific go-to guy if problems arise. Sales people like this are incredibly rare these days. I purchased a refrigerator and had it installed and when they were finished I noticed they dented it. Then A couple of weeks later I had purchased a washer and dry set and the laundry room is up stairs . The installer had scrap the hole stair case and even two good size gouges of sheet rock take out and a chip in my wood rail handle at my brand new house. The washer machine was dented, so they did give me a small discount and was told that someone would get a hold of me to repair my walls. No call, after two weeks of me calling I finally got a hold of someone and I was told by the employee that they noticed I had a refund for a small amount and they thought the refund was for the damages done to the walls. Then he proceed to say in this situation we send someone out to fix the damages . well If that's the case why would you think that the refund was for the damage walls? So a guy came out to look at the damages to see what all supplies he need and he said he would be back tomorrow. He never came back and my walls are still damage . I think Kelly's is trying to give me the slip. read more

Yikes. The long, sad story begins almost 2 years ago, not long before the pandemic began. The short version is that we purchased an Asko dishwasher and were told it had been on the floor less than a month. Within a few months everything went wrong with it and we found out that it had actually been on the floor for two years. Parts were unavailable, the kick plate was missing and lost, and after many, many futile attempts to repair it we requested a new dishwasher. It took long negotiations with Lorenzo who FINALLY, reluctantly, did make it happen for us to get a new Bosch. We were very relieved! BUT- to this day we are not convinced that it too was not a floor model because within a few months we needed to have the drain pump replaced. A few months later and we needed to have the wash pump and the computer control panel replaced. We have also had the problem of food redeposit on the dishes and so have had fully cycled dirty dishes. Yes, we were careful about what we put in there, we cleaned the filter almost daily, and ran a dishwasher cleaner through every few weeks. Again, many, many calls to Bosch and no help from either them or Kelly's. About a month ago we got our latest error message - "watertap error." More calls to Bosch and Kelly's- no help. For a few days I was in touch with a customer service rep via text, who after a bizillion texts, finally said that Kelly's would sell us a new dishwasher at cost. Sorry, too little, too late. We've had more time without a working dishwasher than with an operational one and non-stop phone calls, texts, emails, and pleading. And of course it's a pandemic. We are in our late 60's with "underlying conditions" and every time a repair person enters our home we are vulnerable and stressed. We tried over and over to explain this extra layer of concern to Kelly's and there was no care whatsoever. We are done with Kelly's. We don't want another dishwasher from them, even at a discount. We are done with them. Their customer service is terrible and we will never buy another item from them, nor will our friends. read more

We had bought a $3200.00 refrigerator from Oldfield's. The refrigerator came dented. A new one was ordered but it was the wrong door. When the next door came, we noticed as we used it that we could not polish out water spots of any kind. We never have been able to have it replaced. Oldfield's said, "It was not under warranty because it was cosmetic." Are you kidding me!! Finally, since Kelly's has taken over, I have been working with Carrie G., the new manager. She took our concerns to heart, even though it is Oldfield's poor customer service. We are delighted to have her for our support. She has been so kind and so professional. I will definitely work with Carrie again. read more

Oldfield's Appliance Store in Eugene Oregon is the WORST place to spend your hard earned money. Bait and switch takes on new dimensions when the washer and dryer they deliver are not only an entirely different pair of appliances, but also dented and scratched. We called the store immediately, and we were treated rudely and lied to by the salesman who answered the call, who insisted that the steam features we expected were rare among manufacturers. (A quick web search revealed that every manufacturer provided a top loading steam washer and a steam dryer, including GE.) We were informed that we would have to wait two days for our salesman to return and speak with him directly. Which we did. When we contacted Caleb, our salesman, and informed him of the error, he insisted we were wrong. He told us he remembered the entire conversation except the part where he told us that both GE "flagship" units provided steam. After arguing with us for at least a full ten minutes, I finally told the young man I was sure he wasn't calling me a liar, and it was in his own best interest to begin to work out how to resolve the issue. When that failed to shake him out of his denial dance, I told him we would return both units for a full refund unless some solution could be found. Caleb said he would call us back after speaking with his manager. Two hours later, Caleb called to inform us that they did not have a steam unit in the store, but would order a pair of Samsung units that met our requirements, for $100 more than we had paid. We agreed. We had to wait for these units to be delivered to Oldfield's... we were told it would take a week. To his credit, Caleb apologized for "any misunderstanding." Meanwhile, the dishwasher we ordered at the same time was delivered with a factory defect. Arrangements were made for a third party warranty company to come to the house to determine the part and then another appointment to repair it. Two weeks went by. Finally, Caleb calls to tell us our washer and dryer are in. Delivery was scheduled for Saturday. "looks like you are first out.", he said. Friday night the installer called to confirm Saturday, 1-4 pm. Saturday morning at 9:00 am Caleb calls to inform us that the units were delivered to the Salem warehouse, either by mistake or without his knowledge, and deliver had been rescheduled to late Monday. At no point was an apology offered for our inconvenience, or an alternative presented. Our appliances were being held hostage and we paid dearly for their ransom. Caleb was an ass, and made sure we understood that any resistance would be answered with more aggravation and more waiting. Oldfield's black November sale is a morbid disaster. read more

You will get the best of everything - whether you need a new appliance, tutorials about appliances, or even service attention - through Bryan at Oldfields. He is responsive and enthusiastic - always. He makes Oldfields great. I have to say - if Bryan were to move to another company - I would only go where Bryan goes. Other salespeople there do not even seem to notice you've walked in. If it happens to be Bryan's day off - find out when he's working and come back when he's there. read more

Their info & recommendations conflicted with online customer reviews. I've been using my refrigerator, stovetop w/downdraft, wall oven, microwave & dishwasher from Oldfields since November. AWESOME!! I felt the salesman Bryan, really listened to my needs, Gave me accurate information & answered all follow-up questions & concerns in a flash. My aunt and uncle have been longtime Kelly's customers since the 1970's. They have many purchases over the years and were always satisfied customers. Until recently. They purchased a washer and dryer a few years back, and purchased the extended warranty. The dryer recently quit working the end of February. My aunt has been trying unsuccessfully since March 1 to get someone to either fix it or replace it. But has been getting nowhere with Kelly's. She has been getting nothing but the run around. My aunt and uncle are a 75 year old elderly couple. My uncle had heart surgery. My aunt had hip replacement and uses a walker. They have been without a dryer for over 6 weeks. They are not physically able to pack up all their laundry and take it to the laundromat in the meantime, so this is a HUGE inconvenience for them. They feel like Kelly's no longer cares about their customers and that they are ignoring the needs of their elderly customers. My aunt was in tears on the phone tonight over this and doesn't know what to do. I am so disappointed with the service, or should I say NO SERVICE, that they are getting from Kelly's. Their dryer needs to be repaired. They will NEVER shop at Kelly's again!!! read more

Actually 4.5 stars...nobody gets all 5! I only buy appliances from Oldfield's. I had a problem with a washing machine that obviously was not the store's fault and they replaced it with zero questions asked...the repairman was amazed that my model took a turn for the worse...the installers were/are very professional and since I have no idea what I am doing the best advice is to just stay out of their way and let them do their job... well done! mb read more

We were looking for a new freezer ( stand up ) I called talked to a salesman who was very pleasant and helpful. He told me about several that they had and recommended one to me. I paid for it sight unseen and it was delivered the next day and, I live in the country. I would send my family and friends there and have them talk to Chad.
