Our Spokane Harley motorcycle club (10 members this trip) rode to Newport yesterday specifically to eat at Kellys which was highly recommended by a member who's eaten there numerous times. What a fantastic place! The menu has a lot of choices and the portions are huge. Because we dainty (!) ladies are always trying to watch our waistlines, we asked if we could order from the children's menu. The selection on that menu was great, satisfying the ladies while the guys ordered from the regular menu where prices for a LOT of food were very reasonable. The food was great and the bar options (ie choices of liquor) were plentiful. I recommend the local beer choices; really good and again, very reasonable. Most of all I want to thank the General Manager, Clare, who took care of our table from start to finish even though her husband is one of the owners and she doesn't normally work the floor ie waiting tables. i am all for supporting local businesses however the other night me and a friend decided to go have a couple beers and some nachos. The beer prices were fine but the nachos we ordered were not worth paying almost 13$ they came on a regular size dinner plate,they weren't homemade chips ,which is fine,there wasn't much to them at all little cheese not a whole lot of meat they did have the salsa,quac,sr.cr. I would suggest the owners take a look at this. Also the service was not the best. I Am not saying don't go there i will probably still go but this is just an fyi thanks! read more

This bar was good about 15 years ago but has gone by the wayside. Food is bar food but the burgers are ok I guess. The barkeep is a seahag with a wart on her nose LMFAO..... Great little town but avoid this shit hole. Everything I've tried except for the burgers absolutely sucked and the burgers are just so so. There's better burgers in this town down at Club Rio or Auggies. lol read more

Was in town visiting some relatives and took my wife out to lunch there. Super good food, my wife had the panini chicken bacon ranch and I had the reuben sandwich. Super good food. I think my favorite was the beer battered fries. Super flavorful. Definitely worth coming back to. read more

So I can't figure out where to begin! I have been to Kelly's several times over the years. And although I would never ever give this place more than 4 stars, usually it's been between 3 and 4 at best, tonight was the biggest disappointment ever!!! So here we are at one of, if not the only places in Newport, WA that is a sports bar and has big screen TVs to watch the games. It's Sunday evening and the AFC championship football game is on. Thus why we went to Kelly's tonight! Duh! Well apparently Kelly's closes at 6pm on Sundays. The bartender/waitress tells the crowd that she is gonna call last call for drinks at 6pm. She does. Then tells the crowd no rush we will be here closing for awhile. The game is in regulation time in the 4th quarter with about 3:30 left in the game. She shouts out that she will be shutting off the TV in 5 minutes. Everyone thinks she's joking. But Nooooop! Right at the 2 minute warning she shuts the TVs off and asks everyone to leave. UNREAL.... We wind up watching the last of a very GOOD game at the local Burger King. Needless to say I'm not spending any more of my hard earned money at Kelly's!! Totally Lame! read more

I unfortunately had to pay 25 dollars for 2 double shots of fireball. I've never paid 6.25 for fireball except in Vegas. I felt that I was severely taken advantage of and will NEVER go back to that bar. Before I got my tab I thought it was a great atmosphere but I can buy an entire fifth which is 18 shots of fireball for 25 dollars. I've always liked Kelly's - basic bar food but solidly good. The burgers are my favorite in town. Service is also probably some of the fastest in town and the staff has always been friendly. It also has a very nice atmosphere. I wished that it stayed open later and hosted more events! read more

Sadly I was left dissatisfied and frustrated. Gave order for food for my kiddo while we watched a basketball game back in March 2016. Waited two hours asked several times about the order and was walked passed multiple times with no glabce, finally gave up. Went to ask for bill and they never even put in our order. Waitresses blamed eachother and argued. First and last time Ill be going to this place. Supposedly the 2nd oldest bar in Newport... maybe they still have the same employees? read more

Really good food, good service. It's a great place to go watch a game and have a few drinks.

Took us 50 minutes to get a meal (in fairness the waitress warned the kitchen was slow that night). Waitress service was also slow with only one refill while we waited for our meal. The building has hardwood floors, a tin ceiling and flat bare walls which seem to exasperate the noise level. It was virtually impossible to hold a conversation while we waited for our meal. I am told Kelly's used to be a decent place to get a meal but our experience was disappointing. Unless you are looking for a loud bar without the expectation of food service there are better places to dine in Newport. read more
