When we brought the undercooked seafood to the manager's attention, we were given two options: they could take the food back and "put it back in the water" to cook it longer, or we could take it home and cook it ourselves in exchange for a discount. Since we had already started eating and didn't feel comfortable having our meal simply thrown back into the pot, we chose to take it home and finish cooking it ourselves. The "discount" ended up being just $10.99. For a meal that wasn't properly cooked and that I literally had to finish cooking at home, that resolution felt completely inadequate. I paid to dine at a restaurant, not to go home and prepare my own meal. On top of the food quality issues, the customer service was disappointing. There was very little effort to make the situation right, and the way the complaint was handled felt dismissive. I usually drive an hour to Captain Crab because I've always had consistently great experiences there. I decided to try somewhere different this time, and it was a mistake.
