My husband likes to come here to do a manual car wash, where you put tokens inside the machine and you can wash your car with a long water/soap wand. It's about $10 for the service. He likes the flexibility of doing it himself and also of not scratching the car. They charged me for the month I called up and canceled. Was not notified that I had to cancel five days in a Vance.. Figured they would just re-activate it when I got my car back. Kelly's Car Wash is part of Kelly's Car Care and Quick Lube but it is a separate entity, along with the gas station. The location of the car wash in Smith Hill is convenient; not far from downtown, the East Side and the North End with quick highway access to both 95 North and 146 North. There are 5 or 6 self serve car wash bays and an automatic car wash with several different wash packages, all priced very reasonably for the way your car comes out looking when all is said and done. I saw a sign for "free" vacuums but I'm not sure if they are really free or if there is a catch (meaning you have to purchase a car wash in order to use them.) Either way, there are a TON of vacuums and I mean a TON; a bunch on each side of the building but on a busy day, like today for example, you'd be hard pressed to find one that you can use unless you're willing to wait. I paid $10 (they take credit cards/debit cards for the automatic car wash) which was I think the third most expensive wash they offer; $5 was the cheapest, then $8, then $10 and $15. I was so incredibly happy with the results after all was said and done; my car looks so shiny and sparkly, I love it! I'll for sure be going back to Kelly's for all of my future car washing needs. read more

Nothing good to say about them . I went to have a tune up on my car I made an appointment they told me I have to wait 2 hrs first then this was at 10 am . So they told me to come back at 1 pm I said ok she told me to wait a minute and said how does 3 pm sounds I said not good . She was not helpful with my needs . If you make an appointment for a time you should stick to it not give people the run around and say to them ITS UP TOO TO YOU . Went for gas here the other day and I just could not believe the poor customer service I received. The man working behind the register was very clear about being "tired of working with the public" and "having no hope for humanity" because "we are all idiots". 10 Minutes in and out. What more can I say... I needed an oil change, about 3 words were exchanged, I sat and waited... and off I went.

This is the second time I got an oil change for one of my cars at Kelly's and it's a complete disaster. Unfortunately, since I work all I day I asked my wife to get an oil change for me so I don't spend the better part of a day getting a simple oil change on a Saturday afternoon. They inform her over the phone it's not too busy, come in. She stops by and it's packed. She is next in line and the mechanics think "now is a good time to take a lunch break." At 2 p.m.! The fine people over at Kelly's thinks it's ok to tell a customer to wait one hour for an oil change that clearly takes 10 minutes (and this statement is emblazoned in large letters over their garage doors). Thanks Kelly's. Your service is greatly appreciated. read more

Everything BUT the detail I am floored by the lack of service at this place. I brought my car in for detailing by appointment on a Friday. Let if there at 8am and picked it up at 5:30pm. When I got the car, the interior hadn't so much as been wiped down. Iron Saturday I called, and they offered to redo the car Monday, OfferUp g a host of excuses saying g they were short staffed, the normal person was not working that day, etc. fine, so be it, everyone deserves a second chance. So I brought it back Monday. And it looks no different. There is literally crap dried to the back of the steering wheel. I took my shirt and some spit and wiped down the center consul and it left a line showing where the dirt was. No attention to detail at all. They vacuumed the car. That's what I got for $110. And when I called asking for a refund, I was hung up on and told they did an excellent job. Save yourself the cash and vacuum your car yourself. read more

The owner of this place is the opposite of a stand up guy. I was put into the car wash too close to the car in front of me. My car hit the tire shine do to it not resetting in time. Leaving an ugly scratch on the front of my car. So I'm like ok they are gonna do the right thing and pay for it. NOPE!!!! They tell me couldn't of happened. DO NOT GO THERE!!!! Only went because I needed a quick oil change before a long drive. When I went to get another oil change from the honest guy I normally go to, he said the last oil change I got, at Kelly's, messed up the oil pan and threading. Luckily my engine didn't blow. I usually bring my car to get oil changes which I had no problem with. So I got my brakes changed and my passenger window fixed since it won't go down. Well they cracked my dashboard probably trying to pull it open. My car still had the whistle and grinding noise so I brought it back. So they tried to fix it and also did something to my back brakes which I don't know what was needed since it had been changed elsewhere the year before. But still 6 months to a year later I still hear the noises. So I've learned my lesson not to go there. read more

I purposely chose the one where you could cancel at any time instead of being locked into a full year. I called to cancel and they still charged me and wouldn't refund my money. Knowing that mechanical brush car washes often leave scratches on a car's paint finish, I called Kelly's ahead of time to ask if the business used brushes or high pressure spray. I was told by the woman who answered that they use high pressure. When I arrived, I saw mechanical brushes inside the wash area. Though the attendant assured me they were soft brushes, when I inspected the car afterward it showed new scratches on the external mirror mounts and rear panels of the SUV. The windows were also dirty with dried soap later. It's a cheap wash at 4 dollars starting, but be warned that you will get what you pay for here. No recommendations for this business. read more

I went to Kelly's Car Wash in Providence, on Charles St, this morning for the second time since I've owned the 2017 Rav4 that I bought new. The first time was a month ago. I went thru the car wash and it looked as if it didn't wash my car at all. Bird poop and dirt was still on the car. So, I ask for a manager. The manager then used the power wash and washed my car. This morning was the second time. After going thru, I was wiping the water off and saw a strip of rubber hanging from the top of my roof under the rack. I ask for the manager. A guy name Brendon Kelly came out and told me it wasn't their fault and that this did not just happen. He said it had been glued before. I told him that I was the sole owner and this has never happened before. He said he knows what he's talking about and this did not just happen. I told him that it was bad business blaming a customer for something they were responsible for. He said he will put the piece back on there but it is still not their fault. DON'T EVER GO TO A PLACE THAT IMMEDIATELY BLAMES THEIR CUSTOMERS FOR THEIR FAULTS. HE WAS TERRIBLE!!!!! I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN AND WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYBODY!!!!!!!!!!! read more

The service light was on in my car and I was also about due for an oil change so I brought my car to Kelly's because it's walking distance from my office so I could drop it off and still get to work on time. When I arrived, they told me they were only taking cash that day, which I wish they would have told me ahead of time when I called to schedule the appointment since I now had no car to go to the bank. The price listed for a synthetic oil change was about $76. When I called to make the appointment, I asked what the price of an oil change for a BMW would be and they had said $76+tax. When I went to pick up the car they charged me $120 JUST for the oil change - even more than the dealership charges, which I've always thought is the most expensive (it's about $89). When I asked the woman at the desk why it was so much more expensive than I had been told, she seemed annoyed that I asked and just said "I don't know." I had to ask her several times if she could please find out or clarify it wasn't a mistake. They finally said my car required a special cartridge for the oil change, which I have never been told before (any other garage I have ever brought it to has always done it for the listed price of a synthetic oil change).Even if they did need a special part, they should have called and confirmed I wanted to proceed before performing a service that cost 50% more than the listed price (especially when I had to pay cash)...I would have absolutely told them not to proceed and brought the car elsewhere. I also asked them what the reason was for the service light being on and if they performed additional service. They said it was just on because I needed the oil change and that it was now off (which didn't sound right to me, as I was just barely due for an oil change and the light doesn't usually come on for that. When they called to tell me the car was ready and only needed an oil change, I specifically asked them to double check the light). Needless to say, 10 minutes after I left the service light was back on so now I still need to bring it in for additional service (but I definitely won't be using them again!). And you would think with the $120 oil change they could at least give you the $8 car wash while your car is there, but they give you the lousy $4 one and you have to bring the car through it yourself.
