I had the fried shrimp with the salad and clam chowder it was excellent it was way too much for meals I've got a second meal out of it

Tonight I took my wife and daughter to Kelly's Fish House- we wanted our last night in Naples to be special including a true Naples dining experience. We've been in town for 10 days and every evening our dining experience has exceeded our expectation except for tonight. We walked right in then waited at least 10 minite for one drink, my wife ordered the clam chowder- nothing special, my daughter ordered the grouper over potatoes-no flavor never finished her meal, I ordered the combo seafood plater (broiled), I was first served a plate of fried something,,,the waiter explained that there was a lobster in there somewhere, the waiter at least tried...he said no problem and 5 minutes later I had my second plate-this time the 1/2 lobster was mushy, I could'nt even eat the grouper, the buttery dish of scallops and shrimp were soaking with butter.I'll give them points for the water and hush puppies. Kelly's Fish House is running on some past history, with the high quality of other restraunts in the area, it's just a matter of time. Owe I forgot it's also very expensive, big regrets, please do not go or recommend this restaurant. read more

Very quaint with excellent service! Prices are typical for Naples. Share your meal with the kids. Serving sizes are plenty big. The hush puppies were beyond wonderful. They we're INCREDIBLE!!!! It can get loud with the low ceilings, but it was a nice adventure. The kids enjoyed watching the boat activities and the pelicans. Had a fun time at the shell store next to them. read more

We enjoyed stone crabs and found the large size adequate and more reasonably priced than the jumbos. Service was efficient and friendly, while the ambience -- casual, nautical, and on the water -- was what we desired. The Maker Mark Dry Manhattan was better than expected and included a luxardo cherry. Our daughter enjoyed the large butterflied Florida pink shrimp. They bring hush puppies to the table, and she enjoyed those too. read more

I had been living in Naples for a while and had never been to Kelly's before so I decided to take my mother, wife and my 2 year old son to try it out. First off - bad idea to bring a kid here. The woman at the front just gave us a evil look as soon as we walked in. The outdoor seating is only for drinks, which was a let down since it would be a nice place to sit and enjoy a meal. The carpet inside will give you a headache if you stare at it more than a few seconds due to the cheezy design. The interior looks more like a 80 year old woman designed it, and isn't fancy or even pleasing to the eye. The server was pleasant but the evil eye lady who someone told me was the owner just kept looking at us. My son was behaving perfectly fine, but I could get the feeling we were not welcome. I ordered a fisherman platter, which was the size of a miniature appetizer. For the $26 I spent on it, I expected it to at least satisfy my minimal hunger I had going in. The food was good, but not $26 good for a few shrimp and scallops. This is a total tourist trap so I see why the other locals I've spoken to don't go there. Drive a few hundred yards to 5th ave. Any place there will be about $26 for a dinner but it will provide a nice atmosphere and at least a dinner size meal. read more

My husband and I were a little skeptical to go here based on the Yelp reviews. Since we were looking for someplace to eat on the water we decided to take a chance and are we glad we did. We were seated looking into the water watching the boats roll in. The wait staff was attentive and knowledgeable offering suggestions when asked. We first ordered the counch fritters and a dozen oysters. Both were fresh and delicious. Hubby and I both ordered the seafood combination. It came with fried oysters, shrimp, scallops, grouper bites and lobster. Cocktail and tarter sauce along with butter were on the plate along with a side of fries (or baked potato). Fish was fresh fried moist and delicious. Fries was well fried as well. Salad choices included Cole slaw which was served with salad and neat way to offer coke slaw. For desert we had the no bake key lime pie which was also very good. Don't let the yelp reviews dissuade you. read more

Stopped in October 29th around 8:30 after our Naples Princess cruise to try the iconic Kelly's Fish House before closing after the season. Greeted by a very friendly Hostess and seated immediately. Maybe 4 tables occupied at this time. Water and napkins were delivered immediately by a friendly Server and told our waitress would see us shortly. We reviewed the menu and I was excited to try their soup and a nice wine to start. Waited about five minutes and I went to wash my hands while my fiancé waited. We sat for another 10 minutes enjoying the cute decor and watching waitress after waitress (4) walk past us. Unfortunately after 15 minutes, we decided that we were not going to get the chance to enjoy Kelly's before they close. We stopped by the Hostess to let her know that we were not served and hope they are able to adjust for future patrons and when the restaurant is busy. read more

How is this not the best place for fried shrimp on the planet? Literally. Better than Capt Anderson's in Panama City. Better than Swan River Seafood.., better than Atlanta, New Orleans, New York.. very light coating. You can easily see the shrimp underneath. Crispy tender great cocktail sauce too. Like stepping back in time inside. Tables with sand and seashells underneath the glass. Nothing fancy, but great food. Gets crowded later. Get there early. read more

Took our daughter and grandchildren to Kelly's. Staff was pleasant but restaurant vey loud. Our meals were way overpriced and the shrimp were small and came from the freezer. My house salad was not even appetizing and the thick dressings were in one of those three compartment servers, yuck. The shrimp creole was tasteless and costly. One of Kellys specialties are the crab claws. Three different size servings was offered but no price on the menu. Drinks were watered down as was the soda. Kids said children's menu pizza was good. We had a wonderful experience at Kelly's! Tasty, fresh seafood served with seating right outside of the harbor. Simple seafood done right. Don't come for the decor- come for the view. Great service! Key Lime pie was an experience! read more

Sad to see this restaurant go down like this; just sad. I've eaten here for 30 years, and I won't eat here again. Why? Not because of the bad waitress, overall dirty conditions, and lack of parking. All true, but the red snapper almondine was "spit it out as fast as you can" BAD!!!! Really sad! I have to admit up front, all we had was the Key Lime Pie (because we did a progressive dinner via water taxi around Naples Bay). That said, it was the BEST key lime pie I've ever eaten (and yes, I've eaten Key Lime pie in the Keys). We talked with the owner, Kelly, at length and discovered it was a family business from the 60s and that their fish and stone crabs come in fresh daily off boats he pointed out that were moored nearby (our table was in the open area at the water). All the wait staff was friendly and we are already planning a dinner back there! They are only open for dinner starting at 4:30. Highly recommend! read more

Although the food is a little pricey, it's pretty much worth it, especially given the prompt service. I ordered and blinked and bam. My fried red grouper was sitting before me. Tastefully fried too, I might add, and not a greasy mess as some seafood of this persuasion can sometimes turn out to be. The atmosphere was dated and nautical, but in a charming kind of way. It was clean, well-staffed and had a decent selection of beers on tap, including yuengling, which was a pleasant surprise for an ex east coaster retuning on business. Food was good, atmosphere was typical of a traditional fish fry type place, but have to agree with other reviewers that the restaurant is overpriced. The raw oyster appetizer was ok, not the most flavorful. Stone crabs were great. Had the mini-seafood platter which comes with fried shrimp, oysters, and grouper bites. I cleaned my plate which is unusual, I usually crave fried food and when it arrives I eat two bites and the greasiness of the food fills me up. A great place for fresh seafood, the fried shrimp is a favorite. The hush puppies are served hot with every meal, and they are fabulous, the best ever. it's a great value, salad, vegetable, and hush puppies are included. The key lime pie is traditional, and wonderful. I love the character of the place, there arent many places like this left in Florida, which is a real shame. read more

For a fish house they don't know how to cook fish. My scallops, deep fried, were soggy and raw. I sent them back and instead of giving me a new order - they recooked my undercooked ones!!!! read more

Upon entering the dining room, there was a bad smell, it just did not smell good in there,,,I don't know if it was the carpeting, or if it was because it was so hot in there that it exacerbated any "old" smells. Didn't smell like food, it just smelled old and bad in there. That should have been my first clue to the rest of the night. Second it was so hot in there, I asked if the a/c was working and the waitress said she didn't think so, then she said it probably does, but they don't turn it on because the old people find it too cold in there...the one waiter's shirt was soaking wet! I ordered the fried green tomatoes, it tasted like nothing. I ordered the fried snapper almandine, tasted like nothing. Also, isn't snapper a flatter fish? This was round shaped like a cod or Pollack and I think I spent 29.95 on cheap codfish or cheap Pollack fish instead of Snapper. Also, how can anyone mess up a baked potato? By far the worse tasting item on my dish. It tasted like they re-heated yesterday's unsold baked potato. My wedge of salad, was just that, no toppings, no tomato no nothing, nothing appealing about presentation, they could have thrown on a few shredded cheddar cheeses or a tomato...blue cheese dressing had no taste whatsoever. Key lime pie tasted okay, by far the best tasting items on my dish were the tartar sauce (condiment for my fish) and key lime pie. I paid 82.95 for all this and to sit in a sweat lodge. With tip I paid 100.00 that night. I have never paid so much on a dinner in my life and I am a frequent restaurant foodie. The view? It was of a canal and boats in the way, not a spectacular view to make it worth the dinner plate prices. It certainly was not beach side. Food prices definitely over priced. read more

EXTREMELY overpriced!!! So very disappointed! My daughter and I ordered the fried sample platter. We each got 3 fried shrimp, 5 small bite size pieces of fish and the same small bites of fried oyster. My baked potato was crispy as if it had been under a hot light for several hours. Service was decent but our waiter a bit pushy trying to get us to order the key lime pie. My advice --- pay attention to reviews! I wish we had headed the advice! read more

Kellys is the best of Old Naples. Best price and freshness in stone crab. Hush Puppies to die for. Wonderful grouper and snapper. Tables filled with Gulf sand and shells are classics. Two stars for good service but this place is insanely overpriced. I ordered a grilled salmon over a bed of greens and was given chunks, rather than a filet. Can't be sure, but that screams scraps/leftovers to me. I think Kelly's means well with their free hush puppies and enthusiasm for their key lime pie but charging $20 for my salmon chunk salad and $30 for my parents' tough and spongey fried platters is, to me, a bit silly. read more

We have lived in Naples for about a year and a half, and always wanted to try Kelly's. Last night when my cousin was in town, we finally ate there. What a disappointment. It took forever to get the food we ordered, and then the lobster that two of us ordered was barely tepid, almost cold. The lobster was supposed to be accompanied by small potatoes, shrimp, and clams. Two small potatoes was all we got, two shrimp and two clams, all of which were, again, barely tepid. The waiter not once came to our table to ask if we needed anything or how the meal was. Several times we had to flag him down to get his attention. Very poor service. And all this was at quite a steep price. read more

Knowing that Kelly's is about the oldest restaurant in Naples, we thought it's longevity may correlate with quality. Such is not the case. My husband ordered the broiled seafood dinner and I ordered the special -- "spicy grouper with cheese potatoes." Both dinners included only THREE green beans and the fish was overdone and dry. Ceaser salad was boring. OK -- calamari app, 2 dinners and 2 glasses of wine came to $90 w/o tip. 1960s vibe and mediocre service with 2012 hi-end prices. Pass on this place. read more

My family enjoys Naples, FL as our vacation destination for the past 20 years. Most recently the week of July 8th. This is the first time we tried Kelly's Fish House and I have to say it was so good we returned our last evening there. It was worth going twice in one week! Being served piping hot homemade hush puppies started the evening off right. Not to mention the beautiful sunset we were about to enjoy. My grandson was especially fond of the glass top tables with a view of a variety of shells and sea life. We especially enjoyed the variety of homemade salad dressings...yes homemade...ranch, thousand island and the best bleu cheese ever!!! My grown sons all enjoyed "surf and turf" and raved about the generous lobster tail. My personal favorite was the best, and I mean, the best Key Lime Pie I have ever had. I make it a personal mission to try every KLP when I visit Naples and this is sooooo good that I had to have it both times during our visit to Kelly's Fish House. All of us enjoyed the great service, refreshing cocktails, delicious seafood and fun, vintage atmosphere. It didn't matter the restaurant was "dated", actually that is what we loved about it. Can't wait to go back the next time. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. :) read more
