The only downside I can think of would be when tried to ask about why there was no relaxing music playing (it was dead silent), the masseuse could not understand me, and politely smiled. Both of them were nice and worked very hard, but did not really hit any pressure points and ground their knuckles/elbows into my flesh and spine in uncomfortable ways; and I came away bruised and a little tired from tensing up instead of relaxing for the most of my hour-long massage. I liked the deep tissue massage, the lady was really focusing on my back, as I asked her to massage my back more vigorously since it's very stiff. She did a good job. The only star I'm taking away for luck of a decent massage on my legs and arms. I expected my entire body to be oiled and massaged, however I didn't think she applied oil on them, so when I flipped on my back, my legs were massaged through a blanket/ towel, arms were also massaged for like 1 min each. I just wish she would timed it right. First back then lower body then legs and arms. I felt like legs and arms were left out. My back was really thankful though. Not sure if I will come back. I kind of came here on a whim after seeing the good reviews - should have probably skipped to page 2 and saw the suspect 5 star reviews but there were enough real good reviews for 5 stars I said why not? I've been to many different massage places and styles and I have to disclaim that the extra $10 dollars for a deep tissue massage didn't *really* feel like a deep tissue massage so if you are really in need or specific body work at a firm pressure level - I don't think this is the appropriate venue. As an office keyboard warrior - I've got the natural hip and hamstring tightness that sometimes needs to be stretched out myself or unfrozen with firm pressure. For $60 you're going to pay about the same at say Massage Envy and my experience there has been a little more customized (I had 100% focus on the parts I needed upon request). The style of massage here was a mix of different styles. There was some Swedish steps with oil incorporated into after a bit of back walking that felt like a chiropractic release. All things considered, it's not a *bad* routine of massage steps if you want something that feels like 50% deep tissue and 50% relaxation (that is the breakdown I felt it was) but I think for my specific needs a Thai style massage that incorporates stretching or if I'm in real tightness state - a true deep tissue massage with focus on specific areas is the way to go. Most of us office workers have tension in the shoulders, neck, hips, and hamstrings - my back is actually fine most of the time. All things considered though I think 4 stars is a fair assessment. As I think another reviewer said (Matthew G.) it's not the "best deep tissue" but it's an absolute good value for what it is - and I fully agree with that comment. One of my regular masseuses in San Jose is Thai and has a place that had a promotion of 10 massages for $350 upfront which was an incredible deal, so I wasn't as floored by the good price (which is a totally reasonable rate). A deep tissue or sports massage by a qualified CMT will definitely usually run you way more than $60 and it's definitely worth it - just don't expect that "medical" grade kind of tension release if you have a serious knot (I did). Would highly suggest the owner do some packages like that if he hasn't already - I might be inclined to buy more massages upfront for a lower rate as this is very close to home because I was definitely happy and 4 stars is not an indicator that I'm somehow unhappy. Give this place a try, you won't be disappointed. read more

Go to Anna! She is amazing! I had a really busy few weeks and I was exhausted and in major need of some pampering. I called very last minute and was able to get an appointment for an hour later. I headed there after work and was in heaven in ten minutes! Anna paid attention to the area I wanted her to focus on and checked in multiple times regarding pressure. She is amazing and I felt so relaxed that I ended up extending the massage to 90 mins! That's how good it felt!! The price is fair and quiet affordable for Mountain View area, but they only take cash so I guess that's the only negative. Highly recommend this place! You really can't beat the price of a deep tissue here it's only $60 for 60 minutes, and most places I have been to usually charge about $80-$90 for 60 minutes. And the massage is good, not the best deep tissue I have had, but definitely a great value for the price, considering its a solid 33% cheaper~. There is a humidifier in each massage room, and two bars over the table, similar to Thai Massage places, where they can stand/sit on your back if you are accustomed to very deep pressure. Got the one hour full body massage. Very clean and very professional. Arranging an appointment through Yelp was a breeze. Came here with my girlfriend but there was no 'couples room' that I could see but we didn't ask. Restroom use was offered but was not needed. I would safely assume that it would be clean. Bottled water was offered before and after the session. Therapist was able to offer medium or hard in regards to strength of the massage which was great. They used some type of oil for my back and legs. It was later cleaned off with warm towels. You can also ask them to focus on specific areas. They accept card as payment but can only take tip in cash. Their recommended tip amount is 25%. There is a slight discount if you pay for your service in cash. She is really good! My focus areas were my back and my legs and also asked her for a deep tissue massage. She applied the right pressure and worked enough on my focus areas and is very professional! Within minutes of the massage starting, I knew I made the best decision I had in weeks. The next thought that came was the recently popularized Shakespeare quote: "Though she be but little, she is fierce!" Fierce, indeed. I was absolutely amazed by the pressure, and the fact that someone could sustain that for an hour. (Granted, some of it was by stepping on me, but hell - bring it on!) I've had strong massages before where I was wincing and ultimately sore afterward. Here, I could barely get off the table, much less put my shoes on. I had become a pile of human Jell-o. Bliss. When people describe massages, they usually mention knots and needing to get them out. I never truly understood that until my massage at Kelly's -- or maybe other masseuses didn't get my knots. She found every square millimeter that needed work, and I had goosebumps on several occasions. I didn't realize how desperately I needed this, and I became even more grateful for stumbling upon this place. I give 5 stars sparingly. I'm the type of client who doesn't care about the oils you use, the thickness of the blanket you cover me with, or the music you're playing in the background. I just need a hard massage that will truly make me feel better when I leave. A massage that's comfortable is a wasted massage. I am so thankful I found Kelly. She gives your body and overall assessment at first to see where she needs to focus. She immediately recognized the intense tightness in my neck, the softball size knots in my shoulders, and the parade of knots behind my shoulder blades. She worked and worked those knots. She's a tiny Asian woman but don't doubt her strength because she has incredible strength. Typical "hard" massages from other masseuse feel like nothing to me. But with Kelly.... I had to force myself to focus on my breathing. It felt AMAZING. My neck and shoulders feel incrementally better. Woe are the days of going to weak masseuse who are too afraid to get in there. I went in looking for a firm, deep massage and Kelly made it happen and then some. This strong-handed woman sure knows how to give a thorough and good massage. My back was tighter than a spaghetti jar lid when I went in and I came out feeling like a noodle.
