Cool little place, the atmosphere inside is a bit better inside than outside, but you do get a bit more peace and quiet outside. The fish and chips were good. They've got a nice drink selection, including some New England beers, and the scallops we had to start which I think might be a temporary special were straight up amazing, we even kept the sauce to dip everything else in once we were done with the scallops. My bestie decided to take me and my mom out for my birthday, here at Kelly's Landing. Everything from start to finish was outstanding. We started with the stuffed quahogs and cracked conch appetizers. The stuffed quahogs were absolutely delectable -- perfectly seasoned minced clams cooked with a special sauce, placed back into the shell, and baked to perfection. Our entrees were the lobster scampi over linguine and the baked scallops over linguine, and both dishes were fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Dessert was just as impressive, especially the delicious bread pudding and rich chocolate brownie. The service truly made the evening special. Our server, Kelly, was fantastic. She's been there for eight years, and it shows in the care and attention she gives her customers. Even though we waited about 30 minutes for a table, it was completely worth it. Once we were seated we ordered and our food was out so quick for the amount of people that were there. First I ordered the lobster roll. I will say I think it's price for the size and I definitely was not full after it. We later ordered the 3 lobster tail special and each one of us had one and it came with one side. I think the 3 lobster tail special is much better, you get a lot more food and it was delicious. You will have to crack open the lobster tails yourself but they give you the tools needed. Overall amazing experience. It's in a big shopping center in the very corner of it so if you don't find parking right in front of the restaurant just park by the Ross and walk over. Went here 7 months ago and was not impressed with the lobster rolls. After reading so many raves about the place on various food-related Facebook pages, I had to try it again (as my urge for some tasty lobster heightened and other places were a disappointment). As usual, the place was packed and bustling. We waited 30 minutes for a table. Our main server was Alicia, though they all share duties (and the tips). Service was fast and friendly. We had the calamari appetizer and the Manhattan clam chowder. Our main meal was the Tuesday special of triple lobster tails for $35. The sweet potato fries were awesome. What a treasure! We came two nights in a row; from the service and graciousness of all the staff and then the food! First night we sat at the bar with Kristine (hoping that is her name, she was lovely and so on it) enjoyed the soup of the day; Lobster bisque and wished we had selected the Lobstah Bomb once we tasted the luxuriously delicious bisque. We enjoyed a crab cake next, which was essentially all crab, unbelievably tender and a crisp on the outside. We ended our first night with the cracked conch, which was better than what we enjoyed when visiting Tortola. Then on the 2nd night; we started with a 1/2 carafe of wine again for me and a hazy IPA for my hubby, enjoy yourself! A pint of clam strips, yes please, so crisp, accompanied by tartar sauce and our bartender, Jake, brought us lemons and cocktail sauce. We then ordered the daily special, to share, a full rack of ribs. They came out so tender and sauces perfectly with our side of French fries. I had some of the best steamers I've ever had. I also had a cup of clam chowder. The soup tasted delicious but I don't actually think I had any clams in mine. I had a lot of potato. Friends ordered lobsters, one had the lobster tails and one had some combination dinner with a whole lobster, corn, clam chowder and I'm not sure what else. Unfortunately, they don't serve bread with the meal. I like bread with my drink while I wait for the dinner. A friend ordered the bread bowl and shared that with me - it's delicious but it's not on the menu - you have to know about it to ask for it - - why??? Parking is tough in that area so be prepared. The ipswich clams were tasty but the appearance was a bit jarring. The siphon or retractable neck that filters from the mud looks odd. Be aware that the shells were especially sandy. The lobster rolls were scrumptious but the portion was disappointing for the price. The lobster meat fit in a small dipping sauce container. The container just seemed so empty. Maybe the presentation would've been more appealing and appetizing if we ate at the restaurant and the dish was plated. The salad was fresh and had a more substantial amount of seafood (lobster meat) which was more filling even though it was a salad. The lady who took our order was super nice. We got the stuffed quahogs to share which came out stealing hot and were delicious. As my main dish I got the fishwich sandwich which is lightly breaded and fried Boston scrod, with a side of fries. It was a fantastic fish sandwich and the tartar sauce complemented the buttery white fish well. A few non-seafood selections also, but really, you're coming here for seafood. We had lobster rolls today. Normal price is $25 for a lobster roll and 1 side dish. We chose to get double meat for an extra $15 and that roll was seriously overloaded with lobster. Really good big chunks, light on the mayo. Delicious. I got mine with tater tots, companion got his with fries. Also got a half order of onion rings which were really good and that 1/2 order was totally huge. This restaurant was recommended to me by two of my clients. I'm glad I decided to give it a try. I went on a Tuesday, when they have their lobster specials. I got the Triple Maine Tails w/ steamed broccoli, onion rings and New England Clam Chowder. That clam chowder was the best I've had in YEARS. The lobster was delicious and the onion rings were great. But the DESSERT was next level. I ordered the Ghiradelli Brownie with Ice Cream. It was divine. Traci was my server and she was great. The ambiance is pretty cool. There's ample outdoor seating as well as indoor. On a beautiful day, I say get an outdoor seat. The outdoor area is kind of narrow, so I think it might be a challenge if you are coming with a big group. But for small groups, it should be just fine. I also saw a booth in the back of the outdoor seating. I heard that the place gets pretty crowded, especially in the evening. I was there in the early afternoon. It was busy, but not crowded. It's pretty close to Port Everglades and FLL, so if you have a long layover, you can grab a bite to eat here. I definitely recommend this spot. read more

I was a little confused because the restaurant was not very crowded. My husband and I both ordered a cup of soup for appetizer. One was the fish soup, the other was lobster bisque both were served warm with crackers and were very tasty. For the main course I ordered the fried clams which were fried perfectly with a baked potato. My husband ordered the halibut which he stated was very favorable and a baked potato. We've been landing here for a few years as Kelly's is about the only Boston/New England restaurant near us serving huge whole Maine lobsters or lobstahs. We usually get the 2 or 2.25 pounders. So yummy and boiled to perfection! I also love the steamed Little Neck clams. I'm not a huge fan of the larger New England Steamers, but my friends like them so we order both. The New England Clam Chowdah is delicious with a lot of clam bits, and comes in a mug. I like it better than their sometimes special Lobstah Corn Chowdah. The setting is super casual, with a friendly, homey authentic New England vibe, so feel free to make a mess after you put on your bib. You can't really go wrong at Kelly's Landing. This place has been on my list to try for years and I finally stopped in for lunch on Sunday. It was a nice day so we sat outside on the patio. The ambiance was ok, but I don't think people go here expecting high end dining to be fair. The lobster corn chowder was a special for Sunday. It was fantastic, but if I'm being honest would have been improved if there was more lobster. I also had the blackened Mahi sandwich, which was solid. On the way there my friend asked me what I was thinking of ordering. I told her, "probably some lobster bisque (the best in town) and a lobster roll.". When we sat down the lovely and efficient waitress said, "you can have all that and more if you get the LOBSTER BOMB." Ah the lobster bomb. A sourdough bread bowl filled with bisque and topped with a generous portion of lobster meat. (Only on weekends) We both got one and our other dining companion got a whole lobster. We called to ask if they took reservations-they don't and the kind lady told us it's usually 30 or so minutes wait for a Thursday night around 6:45. After about 40 minutes, we lucked out and were seated outside. Located at the end of a mini strip mall, smaller spot with some outdoor seating and a cozy Bar area. When you walk in you feel like you're in a Boston restaurant and not in Ftl. The special for the evening (Thursdays) was 1/2 price bottles of wine-they only serve beer/wine. We ordered a Pinot Noir (Stag-we liked it) and had some while waiting for our table. A good amount of menu options that connected well to this spot's New England vibe/atmosphere billing. Note-Servers are moving and hustling so make sure you don't get in their way or you'll get some S. Boston style "excuse me." We started with the New England Steamers (ordered large -this is the way to go) and the Stuffed Quahogs (had to order just on the name alone). Steamers were tasty and our first-time tasting Quahogs which stood out. Stuffed with a Chorizo mixture, this clam concoction was delicious and a must try! For main, we wanted a whole Lobster but 1 pounders were sold out-only 2+ pounders were left so decided to go with the Lobster Scampi based on our server's recommendation. Scampi had a generous portion of lobster and was excellent. Also, ordered Kelley's medley. Perfect size entree with seasoned and baked seafood medley-delicious! We had a bit of a wait for our entrees-they were somewhat backed up in the kitchen but our server took some time to talk to us while we waited which was a nice touch. Birthdays come once year, but not everyone is born on a leap year. Looking to celebrate the special occasion, the family had went out tonight to Kelly's Landing! Going in, the place was packed. We wound up wating around 40 minutes, which isn't terrible given the foot traffic. Tonight we ordered 1x bowl of lobstah bisque, 1x dozen steamed clams, 1x seafood medley with coleslaw, 1x fried shrimp plate with fries, 1x scrod plate with a baked potato, and 1x key lime pie. Moving on with tonight's review; in contrast to my last reviews, the food was terrific! For starters, the soup had a subtly sweet and creamy lobster flavor that coated our taste buds nicely! The dozen steamed clams were small, but they did have a nice juicy bite and tasted great with melted butter! The seafood medley was terrific (HIGHLY RECOMMEND); never had non-seared fish and scallops so tender! The fried shrimp platter was good as always, that airy crispy battery never lacks and the shrimp tasted non frozen. No photos taken, but scrod was super flaky and mosit! The key lime pie had a great balance of tart and sweetness; nice light finish to the meal. Moreover, our server (from OH), was a stinker, but in a warm fuzzy kind of way which really elevated the service. Overall, we had a nice time and I think it's time we updated this review to a 5/5. Absolutely Fantastic! This restaurant makes very New England sport fan feel right at home. It was a touch of home in the middle of South Florida. With TVs playing Boston sports teams and the walls plastered with patriots! Celtics, Bruins, & Red Sox memorabilia, it has a very comfortable atmosphere! But what really makes us feel at home is the menu and the food. I started with the bread which was hot and fresh out of oven and heavenly. Everyone at the table agreed. We followed it with the best New England Clam Chowder I have ever tasted (and I am from Maine). I followed with a delicious 2 lb. Maine lobster.
