It's lively, polished, and packed with enough restaurants, galleries, boutiques, and hotels to keep visitors occupied for days. In the middle of all that activity sits Wild Sea, the upscale restaurant tucked inside the Riverside Hotel. It's an attractive space, polished without feeling stuffy, and an easy choice for a leisurely brunch. We kept things relatively light. The meal began with spinach and artichoke dip, one of those menu staples that can either feel obligatory or genuinely satisfying. Wild Sea's version landed firmly in the second category. It arrived bubbling hot, loaded with melted cheese, and accompanied by freshly fried tortilla chips sturdy enough to survive repeated trips into the dip. Comfort food done right rarely needs reinvention. My wife ordered the crab cake, a dish that often reveals a restaurant's priorities. Too much filler and you're left wondering where the crab went. Wild Sea avoided that trap. The crab cake held together nicely while still allowing the sweet crab meat to remain the star. A whole grain Dijon remoulade added just enough tang and texture without overwhelming the delicate seafood. I went with the Boulevard Bagel, Wild Sea's take on bagels and lox. Smoked Atlantic salmon, tomatoes, cucumbers, red onion, and cream cheese were layered onto a toasted everything bagel. On a hot South Florida afternoon, it was exactly the kind of meal you want. Cool, refreshing, and satisfying without weighing you down. The smoked salmon provided plenty of flavor, while the vegetables added freshness and crunch. Wild Sea isn't trying to reinvent brunch, and that's perfectly fine. What it does offer is thoughtful execution, quality ingredients, and a comfortable setting in one of Fort Lauderdale's most enjoyable neighborhoods. I would've ordered the steak medium well but regardless it wasn't tough and chewy. I also tried Lemon-Ricotta Pancakes for the first time and I was pleasantly surprised. I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. First, there were no hostesses, so I stood at the host stand for 10 minutes before the rude general manager approached. He didn't welcome me or apologize for the wait, instead he informed me that they "couldn't find my reservation." Despite the numerous empty tables, I still had to wait another 15 minutes to be seated. In the meantime, I had a drink at the bar. I quickly noticed the lack of ambiance and the oddly spaced-out tables. The food was flavorful, but after eating, my friend and I both experienced stomach aches, possibly due to old or mishandled seafood. Really loved this place tonight for dinner!! The ambiance was amazing and festive, service was quick. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and even shared how fresh their seafood is (the lobster is flown in every week), as well as how all the sauces are prepared from scratch in the kitchen. They were out of salmon so they couldn't make the fish dip or other items (which is a great sign, again that everything is from scratch). We started with the mussels and it was very tasty. The focaccia bread was so fresh and yummy. For our mains, I got the blackened redfish and it was very filling and flavorful, my husband's lobster roll was fresh and tasty, and my daughter got the kids menu pasta with Alfredo sauce. We snuck bites and the Alfredo sauce was super cheesy and you could tell it was made from scratch and was SO good (they confirmed too it's all freshly grated parm, cream, and butter). I sat at the bar by myself on a slower Sunday. Allen was the bartender. He was super sweet. I was waiting for my brother and his fiancé- who had just gotten engaged a few hours before. Allen made us feel like we were hanging out at his house. He was so welcoming, hospitable, and personable. He congratulated the happy couple more than once and was just genuinely a fantastic person. I was staying at the Riverside Hotel before taking a Caribbean cruise and stopped in to Wild Sea for breakfast. I had coffee ($3.75), Vanilla Scented French Toast ($12) and Applewood Smoked Bacon ($4.50). Neville was my server but they use a robot to deliver your food. I wasn't paying attention but saw the robot standing in front of my table with my order in just a few minutes. Interesting ... The food was okay; the French Toast was not cut on the bias so it appeared as two pieces of bread with a sprinkling of pecans. It was somewhat soggy and the bacon was thin but wasn't crisped as I'd ordered. The meal was okay, but nothing special. FYI, I expect to pay a lot more for a meal in a hotel restaurant. I walked by the restaurant several times over 3 days and most of the time it was empty; not a good sign. Rude Management, Ruined Evening On New Year's Eve, the hostess told us our reservation had been lost and asked us to leave, which was upsetting for my elderly parents. After some discussion, we were allowed to sit at an empty table. Instead of apologizing for the mistake, the manager was confrontational and rude, particularly toward my mother, and told us we would need to give up the table because they had "found" the reservation. We canceled at that point, as the evening was already ruined. To make matters worse, we were then told we would still be charged a cancellation fee -- after the restaurant lost the reservation. Many staff are kind, but management behavior like this is unacceptable. We won't be back. 01/03/2026 UPDATE in response to Restaurant C. owner: I want to add some important clarification, as the account in your reply does not reflect what occurred and omits relevant context.   Our reservation was for 8:00 pm. We arrived at 7:30 pm simply to enquire whether it might be possible to eat earlier. At that point, we were told that we had no reservation at all. After seeing an empty table, we asked if we could sit there and were told that we could. Only after we were seated were we approached and told a reservation had been "found," now stated as 8:45 pm, which was not our booking. The interaction then became confrontational rather than apologetic.   We were not the only guests experiencing reservation issues that evening. A separate customer has since described a very similar experience in a recent TripAdvisor review, which suggests this was not an isolated incident but a broader breakdown in how reservations were handled that night.   My parents have been visiting this hotel for over 15 years, dining frequently at Wild Sea and the other restaurants on the property, and have spent tens of thousands of dollars here over that time. They also own a hotel themselves and are fully familiar with how reservations and holiday service pressures work. Being spoken to in a patronizing and aggressive manner over a mistake that was not ours was deeply disappointing.   To be clear, this review is not aimed at the floor staff, many of whom are consistently kind and professional. Fantastic choice to enter instead of eating outside like a street cafe in Italy. Classy interior, friendly waitress named Leeann. A gentleman came to check how everything was halfway through dinner possibly the manager. Boy, hubs really enjoyed his pork chops. My jambalaya was a generous portion so I dug through the Cajun rice and ate all the shrimp, chicken pieces and andouille sausage. I came here with an organization for our monthly meeting. Did not know that they have a private room in the restaurant which is where we sat. The room had floor to ceiling glass storage shelves for wine, which adds a nice touch to the space. We had shrimp cocktail, salmon cake sliders, Asian style wings, sliced beef on skewers and Yuca fries. The food was really good. I made a reservation using Open Table and I was excited to check this place out. I arrived a bit early and there was no one at the hostess station at the entrance of the patio / restaurant. I told him that I had just seen their website advertising the specials that morning with no expiration or "valid dates". He said, No. Not offered...... That was really not very good....I hate cigarette smell and this guy smelled like it even like 2 feet from me.... My burger came with "seasoned fries" like the menu said, but the fries were not seasoned at all and they were very bland....the burger was not bad, cooked medium as I requested, but also very bland. I asked Neville about checking me in for my Open Table reservation. We had a very nice lunch on our first visit here. It was very pleasant to sit outside with friends and take in the Las Olas street scene. I ordered the house smoked turkey breast sandwich. For my entrée, I had a lobster roll. It was stuffed with lobster meat. However, it was not seasoned well at all. It had very little flavor. Maybe they could've taken some of the seasoning from the crabcake and added it to the lobster roll. Overall, this restaurant was very overrated, and the food was very underwhelming. We had our hearts set on enjoying Lobster and we were very disappointed. We would have understood if they were sold-out at 9:00 but at 7:00 just didn't make sense. Their indifference and unapologetic attitude reaffirmed to us that we should leave for another restaurant, and we did. The standard breakfast - eggs, breakfast meat and potatoes - is very reasonably priced at $10. That's a reasonable price at a restaurant but particularly for a hotel restaurant. Service can be on the slow side so leave yourself plenty of time...which isn't such a bad thing if you have a table outside to enjoy the balmy weather. read more

Ours bumped into my wine bucket and spilled my mom's salad lol! We thought it was hysterical but the server was apologetic and brought a new one over immediately. For dinner, my step and I got the filet and my mom had the scallops. They were honestly the best scallops we ever had. The steak was very tender as well. Dessert didn't disappoint either! I get the "Mix-it-up" which includes everything (eggs, sausage, hashbrowns, etc.) and allows me to skip lunch easily. All of the staff are very friendly and attentive. The location right on the main road of las olas seems like it would be great for people-watching later in the day, but we enjoyed a nice relaxing breakfast. I had the apple pie pancakes (3 huge and awesome pancakes for only $8!), which were fluffy and had a great apple cinnamon flavor. We had peach Bellinis, which were surprisingly strong for only $5.
