This place is pretty standard Kelsey's. Our food came in a good time. The staff was nice and helpful. Everything looked clean and sleek. The food was okay. We got two vegetarian burgers and the chicken pasta. The pasta was really bad, and really watery. We couldn't finish it at all. One of the vegetarian burgers we got was the breakfast burger. Usually it comes with alot of meat but we were able to customize it to be vegetarian. It was really good and crunchy and ridiculously pretty to look at. Our waitress was easygoing and friendly, the food and drinks arrived quickly, the potions were generous, price was appropriate, but the food lacked oomph. The restaurant was clean and there seemed to be enough staff for the long weekend. Arrived at around 8pm on a Saturday night as a walk in table of 4. Two of us ordered the fish and chips and we agreed that the portions were large but that some seasoning would help. The fries were thick cut but again, no seasoning. The coleslaw was probably the highlight of the dish - fresh and tasty. Someone in our table ordered the crispy buffalo burger and they reported it to be quite tasty. If I was passing through Orangeville I'd probably. Stop by this Kelseys again. read more

Loud I mean really loud . Food was okay not great typical barfare. They suggest burgers are huge I would disagree. They forgot the bacon on the bacon cheese burger so I am left to wonder if the waitress put in the correct order. Fries were way under cooked and the gravy ordered never arrived. Fish and chips looked good but the thicker part of the fish was not cooked. The chef needs a few more classes. I would also say the price is a bit high . Glass of red wine nothing special $12.50. Came with some family to celebrate. Service AND food certainly not as expected. Whilst we entered the faculty, it took a while for somebody to come by, not much a problem Employees of said faculty seemed to be very fatigued and were not excited whatsoever. Two of us order a burger and a steak. The meal takes roughly 1 hour to come and nobody checks on us, We "dig in" as other folk call it, but before we indulge we notice that the steak is rare rather than well done as asked. Later bites into my burger, I find my burger is pink which is very bad for you and can give you salmonella, After long waiting we have to ask a waitress passing by our table to recook the food. We called in to book a table when we were told that they are not taking reservations so we were asked to call in 20 mins before so that they can gives us an idea of how much is the occupancy. When I called back they told us that we have a wait list so we were asked to first come to the location to just give your phone number for the wait list and then they will call back once the table gets vacant ( so stupid to first tell the customer to come to give the name & phone # and then go back home and then come back once they call you). No calls received for an hour so we called back they told us that they will call back, now again half an hour we called back again that we have not received any calls they said that they don't think they will be able to accommodate us today and this was at 8:30 pm were we had no place to go, everything closing. I have been to 7 different Kelsey's restaurants and this one is the one of the worst! The 8oz steak was really 6oz or smaller! When I asked a manager she said "I can assure you it is 8oz" It's not the first steak I've had and it was no bigger than 6oz. The steak was not cooked they way I ordered it. It has been a long time since we have been to Kelseys, too many menu changes, not always for the good..until now! Menu has a great selection, service is always friendly and helpful. Very good selection on the children's menu. We went on-line to see the selection first and found if you provide your email address you receive a coupon for a free appetizer..we had the 4 cheese dip- amazing! Between burgers salads soups desserts everything was very well prepared. The French onion soup was tasty..but just a little too salty. But, that was the only complaint. Prices are reasonable. This is probably my worst food experience in Canada. The calamari was very rubbery and hard to chew. My boyfriend ordered a burger and it was very bland, the poutine is SLOPPY and has the worst presentation. I had the bacon grilled cheese and it was very meh, and a side of mashed potatoes that were tasteless. I'm so disappointed. Prices are way too high for the low quality food you are given. Hadn't been to Kelsey's in over 10 years since the shrimp incident. Served us shrimp skewers but the shrimp was GREY!! Doesn't everyone know shrimp turns pink when it is cooked. Not the server nor the manager. They argued with us. But that's beside the point. We tried Kelsey's the other night and OMG was it horrible. We ordered appetizers and our main course and waited and waited and waited. Watched the table next to us finish and leave. The table on our other side was seated, placed their orders and served before our food came. Then boom! We had everything all at once. Soup, side salads, fries, wings, fried pickles, and our main courses. There was not room on the table for us to even find a fork. Server, hadn't a clue, manager blamed the server, server then blamed the kitchen.....sent it all back while we had our soup and pickles. The three of us ordered from the 15min Lunch menu and we didn't time it but I am pretty sure they kept their word. One Classic Club Sandwich with fries. Decent and ample size. Take-out container cheerfully provided by Nick carried half home. Went here with my family and really wish we hadn't. We started with the calamari and it went downhill from there. The calamari was very chewy and rubbery. My family shared the chicken wings (honey garlic) which were overcooked as was the chicken quesedilla. I had the salmon which was overcooked as well; very dry. The vegetables were also overcooked and cold and the mashed potatoes were very salty. I am sad to say that this was not the first bad experience we have had with Kelsey's. I have been to different Kelsey's at different locations and I keep giving them second chances and I don't know why ... Definitely won't be going back to Kelsey's any more. read more

the service here was horrible. we came on a Sunday around 6pm and it wasn't very busy, the food took 40 minutes and our waitress didn't come and let us know that they were clearly behind. I had asked for a water a few times and it wasn't brought. When the food arrived, I had ordered a caeser salad with no bacon, because I am a vegetarian and it arrived with bacon on top after I had already eaten 2 bites. She offered to remake it, but I didn't want to wait 40 minutes for another salad. If the manager had come and apologized then things would have been alright but she didn't bother trying to make up for the fact our service was horrible. We have been to this Orangeville Kelseys three times over a span of 6 - 8 months (trying to give them a chance to redeem themselves) and each time there were issues ranging from a surly manager, complaining staff, inattentive staff, super slow service (half hour for your food when the restaurant is not even busy?), dirty table when we were seated, inflexible when we asked for a menu item to be slightly modified for dietary reasons, poor food presentation, very ho-hum food in general, and on it goes. What a waste of money for meals and stupid to go back just thinking they were having "off" nights... All nights are "off" nights! read more

Been to kelseys a few times. Tonight started out with two dirty dishes that the utensils were placed on, they had some sort of old greasy/sticky something on them. Food order taken and food came in a timely fashion. I took my knife out of the napkin only to find it had only food all over it. The buffalo chicken sandwich i ordered turned out to be three chicken fingers sauced on one side and put between two buns. I forgot to mention they were cold as well. If i were not on a time line to catch a movie i would have advised the waitress, thus i cannot advise on how these problems would have been rectified. It could have been one of the worst meals we have ever had at Kelsey's, which is highly unfortunate as we did enjoy this restaurant in the past. They have removed many items from their menu, some of which were their best items and they've replaced them with items that are childish and poorly executed. Their fish n' chips are now replaced with fish rolled in crushed potato chips, and as are a further two items on the menu. The salmon I had was burnt and my "seasonal vegetables" were carrot sticks and some green beans, and the gravy was awful, so thick and rich I did not eat it. My mother ordered the chicken Parmesan, she got chicken strips with less than a 1/4cup of cheese sprinkled on top and a couple spoonfuls of sauce and the whole thing was dried out and burnt - and brought out on paper, so it was stuck to the burnt paper. My boyfriend got the breakfast burger - he did not finish this meal and he is the type that will eat a plate full of okay food, so not being able to finish even a basic burger is a sad statement. His burger had a hash brown on it, and the burger was smaller than the hash brown. It may have been about a 2-3 oz burger it was so tiny. All in all - we will NEVER return, this was an awful experience and the worst waste of $100. Replace the chefs and the menu and you'll have a start. Two Thumbs Down. Don't waste your time - go to a restaurant in town that actually makes decent food. read more
