I have no idea what this guy's problem was, but he went from nice, to a super Doc who thinks he is God... "You can't believe everything on an MRI" he told me. WHAT???!!! That was after I told him I had a stress fracture on the navicular, as exhibited on the MRI. The MRI was taken at the Steadman Clinic in Vail, CO,,,I was asked to have the MRI done at the Steadman Clinic, as they have a very high resolution MRI. So Dr Kravitz pops the MRI into his computer and says, "I don't see it!" (the stress fracture). Since he is God, now, he must know more than the VERY HIGH RESOLUTION machine that took the MRI I thought, Sorry, dude, maybe you have a crappy computer, but I didn't say that. The Steadman Clinic not only treats people like Lindsey Vonn, and elite athletes, but people like me, 70, but wanting to stay active...and they are very nice. Their orthopedics department is internationally known. There were some other problems with my torn ligaments, but he blew those off, too. He was RUDE, DISMISSIVE, and even disrespectful...BIG ego! At the end of the appt, he said all he could do for me was custom orthotics and I could talk to the front desk about prices. I felt like I was about to get my hand slapped for something. Bye, Bye, Dr. Kravitz Thanks, but no thanks PEOPLE MAY NOT REMEMBER EXACTLY WHAT YOU DID, OR WHAT YOU SAID ~BUT~THEY WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER HOW YOU MADE THEM FEEL. I had never been under anesthesia before, but everything went smoothly. My surgeon was Dr. Wallmann. He and all the staff were attentive, meticulous, and pleasant. Many thanks to everyone! After surgery, I felt mild pressure in the eye and had mild bloodshot which went away. I had occasional episodes of scratchiness, but it has mostly gone away. When they remove your eye patch, they will give the patch to you and it can be used again. You will need tape, which you can buy at the 99-cent store and at any pharmacy. You will need wrap-around sunglasses, which you can buy at Walgreen's for $14.95 to $19.95. You will need lubricant eyedrops, which you can buy in a twin-pack at Walmart for $10.83. If you need readers, you can get nice ones at Walmart for as little as $5.88 (women's). My personal advice (not intended as medical advice) -- follow the pre-op and post-op instructions, and take your meds as prescribed. Call them if you have any concerns after surgery. They are there to help. Get some rest. Thanks again to everyone at Southwestern for my new world of vision and color.

Hate leave a bad review. Ford is a great provider, but…read more.. Looks like onvida is pulling a new billing scam. At the ENT clinic we had to sign an agreement that its a hospital service and a physician service and a hospital service will be charged. There will be a charge and a copay for both. I'd like to downgrade the review from two stars to zero stars, what is noted in the first section, doctor Ford is still a good provider. Unfortunately, the front office was an exercise in futility to be generous. We were unable to schedule the follow-up visit and were told to call back in a month. Then we tried to schedule to get hearing AIDS. They gave us a printed sheet of paper to call somebody else, and they started commenting about insurance that isn't ours, and finally realized they weren't even looking at the correct account. They were looking at somebody else's chart entirely. Obviously more annoyed than embarrassed at their incompetence, at that point they just tried to do everything they could to get us out of the office as fast as possible instead of taking care of us. I am not even angry. I'm appalled. How can a health care provider? They just said they were going to double charge and double co pay then say we just don't want your money. Go away. We're too incompetent to take care of you. I think they need to have their hearing checked. They said you may have to pay it out-of-pocket and then I said i'm aware of that. I'll pay it in cash $100 bills if necessary. So why in the hell couldn't they schedule it.

This is a tough one. Most (not all) of the actual providers are okay to great, but the company is…read moremercenary and has inappropriate clerical and front office staff training. Mercenary: Two charges and two copays for a (not at the hospital) visit to see one provider for one service. Maybe its legal, but its certainly morally ambiguous. Poor Training: Unable to schedule follow up visit at time of current visit. Have to call back in a month. More Poor Training: Tried to schedule a different service and was handed a number to call somebody else for an insurance company we don't even have. Then I realized they were looking at somebody else's account. Instead of apologizing and trying to get things straight they just seemed to want to get us out of the office as fast as possible. Saying they would check with our insurance and call us. It's not covered by the insurance I was willing to pay out of pocket, but they never even let it get to that point. My mom needs hearing aids. I'm willing to pay in cash with $100 bills if need be, but Onvida's ENT clinic on Avenue B just wanted to get rid of us. Generally, Dr Patrick Ford is a great provider there, but he could stand to know a little more about the other directly related services within the clinic. I'd give Dr Ford 4 stars, but Onvida as an organization would get just 1. Given that the cost of Onvida (a community non-profit medical organization) is among the most expensive in the country, my experience today taking my mom to see the doctor was very disappointing. I went with my mom today with every intent of doing whatever was necessary to get her hearing aids going, and left feeling like Onvida doesn't want our business at any price. It was pretty terrible.

Ryan McKinnon, M.D…read more If you're reading this to determine if Dr. McKinnon is a good eye surgeon, my experience with cataract removal and lens replacement was excellent - not one hiccup. He and his staff are the best, no matter the clinical setting, office, or surgery. If you want to know why I feel this way, read on. My first ophthalmologist left the group. Dr. McKinnon was hired and became my eye physician. On my first visit with him, I asked how he came to be hired by the group. He replied personably and professionally, with a transparent smile, and, perhaps because I explained to him that I am mildly hearing impaired, an articulate voice and direct eye contact. Presurgery, I was concerned that I would be awake for the procedure. Forty years prior, I had been awake for eye surgery. It was an awful experience. However, I was assured by both of Yuma Regional's anesthesiologists that it would not happen and that I likely wouldn't remember the procedure. Thankfully, I did remember both surgeries. I remained aware but incredibly relaxed throughout both surgeries. Forty years as a mental health therapist, I am an observer, and I thoroughly enjoyed observing the surgical team, from prep to post. However, after the second surgery, I did take an hour's nap post-op. And it was a good one! The staff wanted me to rest and never rushed me. After retirement, I took up photography, a hobby that blossomed into a second career. But my vision seemed to be getting worse by the day. A few weeks prior, I was hired to do the photography for a book. I worried the surgeries might interfere with my obligations. But they didn't. The day after the first surgery, I did my first shoot without an eye patch. I could see better than when I was a young adult. Colors were bolder and in more shades than I had ever remembered perceiving. And the second surgery returned my full vision, including the peripheral and a greater sense of depth. Although I had elected to correct my vision for distance rather than reading, I can now see for both. I require glasses for the fine details of photography, but believe it or not, I am writing this review on my cellphone without visionwear! I delivered on my employer's expectations. Even better, I was hired for another project by a second employer. Am I satisfied with the services I received from Dr. Ryan McKinnon and Yuma Regional Medical Center? You betcha!
