after being charged $315 for a diagnosis of my Lynx grill, I was given an estimate of almost $1400 to repair it. This included a total of $692.91 for parts and $685 for labor I reached out directly to the Lynx office and discovered the cost of the parts was in fact $244.79. I am sorry to leave a bad review for the business who was nice on the phone. I have a place in Meridian, Tx which located within 50 miles of Waco and most of the home appliances are Thermodor including the refrigerator which I had trouble with. Called the company because they are an authorized service center for Thermodor. The tech came out and charged 2 hours of driving time and diagnosed the problem correctly but did not have hard start kit for the compressor which is same as common brand Whirlpool uses. I have 2 complaints to this company. 1) the driver came out unprepared to solve a problem, when they should have known what the problem was based on my description of the issues. 2) the job quote to have the starter replace was over 500 dollars including 2 hours of driving time in addtion to $240 for the 1st trip when the part cost $68.15 from Appliance Parts Depot in Houston. So the total repair through them was going to cost me over $750.00. It was matter of taking out the old part and plugging it in like changing the battery in a flash light. They must be in business to take advantage of customers instead of taking a pride in making customer happy and earning deserved profit. Very nice on the phone. However their charge structure and hidden fees are outrageous. As with other reviews that left negative feedback, I could not help but feel they were trying to rip me off. They charge a fee to come look and diagnose the problem. Then they charge another service fee to come install the part. Part comes out of Houston and was 3 times the cost above the same part direct from manufacture. When you ask questions, they don't have good answers, as they know their cost structure is indefensible. Do yourself a favor and call someone else. read more

They charge too much! My fridge needed a $50 to $70 fan plus software update, add another $50 for that. First visit charged $82 to determine problem. The fix occurred on 2nd visit, $368 and the guy was done in one hour. Never do business with them again. read more

My husband took my car in to check on grinding noise we kept hearing. First time took in the mechanic claimed he did not hear a noise. We picked the car up, but against my better judgement my husband talked me into taking it back and he would id the noise to the mechanic. My husband rode with mechanic and this time he said it was the brake rotors. They emailed a list of things needed to be fixed and stated that the rotors was what was making the noise. We OKed the work on the rotors. When he picked up the car it was still making the same noise. How does a qualified mechanic recognize the problem but have us pick up the car making the same noise. Fooled me once. Nick was cordial but their workers have no idea on how to service customers. read more

Okay Guys! We had some confusion with the email the quotes were sent to (all on my part!) This appears to be an awesome group! I did request a quote/estimate and they did respond rather quickly to the Yelp message. They had some internet issues and didn't respond for a few days after the initial interaction. But they did explain that and that was great. They made it to my home for the quote. Unfortunately, I will admit, I forgot to remind them of the dogs. My daughter was home with her niece. I was at work and unable to get there. Thus with no warning, they rang the bell before dogs could be put up. So the guy had a rough time I am sure looking at things. . I had assumed that they ran for the hills and weren't even going to bother to turn me down! lol. BUt this was not the case. The bid went to my husbands email, who, well, he deletes a lot of stuff. Sometimes faster than I can get to it as I check his email periodically through the day. I do feel for the guy if he was not a dog lover and didn't understand they were protecting my daughter and granddaughter. They didn't bite or anything, just were annoyingly loud (believe me...I feel your pain...). Sorry about that! I did talk to the the business and they were awesome on the phone. Kind and informative. They are resending the bid. Thank you for that!! I do encourage others to utilize and try them for themselves!
