We absolutely loved spending the afternoon at the South Coast Botanic Garden! It is such a…read morebeautiful and peaceful place to explore. We enjoyed wandering through the stunning gardens, admiring the variety of trees, plants and flowers, and even watching the playful squirrels along the way. I loved the rose garden and its beautiful scent. We packed a picnic and enjoyed a delicious charcuterie board while relaxing in one of the shaded areas, which made the visit even more special. We also purchased tickets to the butterfly garden, and it was such a fun experience--definitely worth it! Everyone we encountered was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful. As we were leaving, they were setting up for the Thursday evening Music in the Garden event, which looked like so much fun. We'll definitely be coming back to experience that one day as well. A wonderful place to spend a few hours--we highly recommend it

When I realized that they offer periodic dog walking days, and that they had a cool TROLLS exhibit going on, we decided to finally seize the day. Overall, it was pleasant and worth the drive. We are a bit spoiled in our part of LA with The Huntington, Descanso, and LA Arboretum. Based on my experiences in these places, I would say that South Coast feels more rugged in good and bad ways. The positive side is that it feels less curated and polished and more like a relaxed meander in nature. The downside is that signage was lacking, and the road into the parking lot and the lot itself were in very bad shape. Many trails are dirt, and not paved. This wasn't a problem for us, as we wore clothes suitable for dog walking (like we were going on a hike). However, it could be a surprise for people who show up in sandals. At the same time, the public art, programming, and cafe elevate the garden beyond a mere walk in the park. We really enjoyed the whimsical TROLLs and permanent pieces. We didn't participate in the butterfly exhibit or purchase food or drink, but these both looked nice. I am not sure whether we'll be back, due to the hour+ drive and our proximity to other options. However, I am glad we finally did it!

She was very kind and helpful, her space is spacious, very cleaned and well maintained. They even had a changing table for the little ones. We enjoyed the space and so did our guest. All I had to do was the table settings, bring the food, drinks and goodies. It was an epic party with great memories that we will charish forever. My guest absolutely loves the establisment and I am sure she will have more customers. I am recommending this event space to everyone.

I reached out via email and from the moment I started speaking with Chantell, everything has been easy and smooth. She was great to work with and she really is sooo creative and AMAZING at what she does! The venue is able to work with all of your requests (of course within their policies) and I couldn't have asked for more. Our event was beautiful! I highly HIGHLY recommend this venue for your party needs. The place can be transformed for any type of party from a kids party to a wedding! I truly have no bad thing to say. It's close to the freeway, there's plenty of parking. There's a Ralph's across the street if you forgot to get something last minute. Thank you for everything Adventure Onn!

The venue is beautiful, but do not have your event on a holiday or weekend during the day because…read morethe parking is awful and the picnicking public is on the front steps and lawn and continually comes to the door asking to use the restrooms. A weekday or evening would be better, and if possible, bring your own caterer.

The Venue and Food: RBH is a beautiful location, and their customer service is truly outstanding…read more During the preparation process, they always responded within a couple of days. The only issue we ran into was with the guests that had special food requests (gluten free, allergies, etc.)---there was a slight mix-up and some of them didn't get their food until much much later on in the night. The food though, was great overall! People kept talking about the chicken and the salmon. I remember the guests commenting on how delicious the food was. I remember that my husband and my sister (she went to the food tasting, since I couldn't make it from Northern California), said that they weren't too impressed during the tasting, but they really blew it out of the water for the day of! Kathy: Kathy is so sweet, friendly, and professional--very extroverted! She made sure that all the details were taken care of and the night went rather smoothly. We were a bit scared because I was checking the weather and it read: sunny, sunny, sunny, sunny, BLUSTERY, sunny, sunny. That blustery day? Wedding day. Ugh, right? But fear not, Kathy made sure it all worked out, and we were still able to do the ceremony outside! DJ Lance: GREAT guy. Super sweet, friendly, and he played such great songs. We gave him a list of songs we'd like, and he rolled with the punches and went for it. He also led our guests in a jeopardy game about my husband and me, in order to dismiss the tables for the buffet food. He projected a powerpoint of us as a couple, growing up, in our respective towns. The guests absolutely LOVED him, as did we. We are quite happy that we chose RBH. After about 10 in-person interviews of other locations, we do not regret our decision.

Growing up in the South Bay, Torrance Cultural Arts Center became near and dear to my heart. When I…read morewas younger I took different classes dance classes here. I remember taking ballet as kid and modern dance as a teen. I also took a workout class when I was in college. I always appreciated the large and spacious dance studios where the classes were held. Now that I'm older I've also come to appreciate Torrance Cultural Arts Center as a venue. I've been to several different festivals here such as the Japanese Matsuri Festival and Lunar New Year festival. This spot is perfect for the community to get together and like how each festival is able to have many different booths. I also love how there is a stage area both outside and inside. I've also attended the Torrance Firefighters' Annual Spaghetti Dinner here. This is another great event at this spacious venue. Despite it being quite a popular dinner, there''s plenty of room for all to enjoy an evening out. Torrance Cultural Arts Center is great! Whether it be for classes or community events or festivals, this spot is perfect for small or large gatherings.

There are other halls that are available for rental if you want to have a wedding or some kind of function. They have a beautiful Japanese garden located on the north side of the center. The only drawback I have regarding the Torrance cultural center is that the Armstrong Theatre needs to have their chairs and some of the facilities renovated. The piano that sits in the green room needs re-tuning or replaced. The auditorium chairs in the Armstrong desperately needs new furbishing other than that, it's a great place to come see a local performance of the local groups in the area. The Torrance cultural center would've had a five star review for me if the facilities were kept in better working order.

We spent $60 on admission and $75 on food for my mom, myself, my daughter, and nephew. The food used to be soooooo good and now it's just okay- not bad but not great like it used to be. The toys & areas had ripped books, chipped paint, was just not in goood condition/ which for the cost, it absolutely should be better. The thing that really got to me was the fact that we picked the 4-7 pm slot. As soon as it hit 6 pm, they turned the music completely off and turned off some of the lights... it was so dreary that I assumed it was almost 7, but to my surprise barely six! It's a quiet "I'm done with the day so please leave" and honestly 100% the reason we will not be back. If I paid for a 3 hour experience that cost an arm and a leg/ don't make us feel uncomfortable for the last hour. It was awkward and rude and I could see the employee in the corner just waiting for us to leave. Such a bummer because we have been going since it opened- literally was one of the first people to go. We recently had a baby and wanted to wait for her to get her vaccines before taking her to kids spaces, we got my daughter so excited to go today and just felt so bad when we left. Like a disappointment for her & a waste of money for us There's also exposed cords & outlets which is not safe. The outlets alongside the seats are very easy for babies to dig into. The cords above the ball pit seems like a huge liability??
