My wife was wearing her full Tiffany heart collection, and several associates took the time to compliment her--it made her feel incredibly special and set the tone for the entire visit. We've recently started investing more in Tiffany's gold jewelry, so I asked to speak with someone who specializes in that area. We were introduced to Charles, and he truly made the experience unforgettable. He was patient, knowledgeable, and took the time to walk us through everything without ever making us feel rushed. His expertise and attention to detail were outstanding. It's been hours since we left, and my wife is still talking about how amazing the experience was. That says everything. It is annoying that not only were they not sticking to the timeline that they gave me, but that they decided to increase the price to do a simple ring resize by 300%. Particularly when other places around the city have quoted me at $40. She came back with a manager who said that they would honor the original price of $110. They asked if two weeks would be ok, I said no so they said they would rush it. After two weeks I called to see when my ring would be ready. The person I talked to said it wasn't started and would take a few more weeks. It was at this point I asked for a manager. I got a call back from Dorian who proceeded to try and blame me for the situation saying I had only brought the ring in a week earlier (July 9th), he also tried to stay that the repairs center was running behind so my ring was forced to be done in August. I demanded that they give me an exact date when they would get me the ring and that they expedite it like they said they would. I got an email back saying that it would be done Friday the 16th. When I went to pick it up it took another 45 minutes of back and forth because they had stamped the inside of the ring with the Tiffany & Co name when it originally didn't have it. I have also reached out to their corporate customer service and was told the district manager would contact me. They have not done so, which is just par for the course in the horrific customer service they have give me. This was my first visit to the stand-alone store. It's a very pretty store with lovely things. I was prepared to spend a significant amount of money on an anniversary gift for my partner and that's why I went there. Why did I leave empty handed? 1. Nothing is priced and asking a price results in an inattentive sales woman looking it up on a tablet which takes a long time, that is, if you can get her attention (I was the only customer in the store when I walked in). 2. When I first asked a price I was told in a way that assumed I couldn't afford it they everything in that case was at least $2,000. 3. Attitude. I'm a middle-aged, successful person. No need for 20-something sales women to act superior. I treat them with respect and expect the same in return. 4. When someone finally asked if I needed help (a person somewhat interested in at least playing the role of a salesperson) she seemed to want to help but not to really know what was in stock or what pieces were made of or any ballpark prices. She also seemed not really knowledgable about jewelry in general. She looked up one material/price for me and it took 5-10 minutes to find it. 5. Due to lack of service I couldn't even come close to selecting something. I realized they were going to close soon so I asked what time they were closing. I was BARKED AT like a person who was loitering, "In TWO MINUTES WE'RE CLOSING." I crassly said I was planing to spend a significant amount of money, but I guess that wasn't very interesting to this store! The staff at Kikichic were friendly and gave instructions on how their charm bar worked. The first step was trying on the Italian charm bracelets in order to figure out your size and the amount of links (charms) you would need to make your bracelet. In order for me to make a bracelet that fit comfortably I would need 17-18 links which would have been a bit expensive especially just after the holidays. So sadly I did not make an Italian charm bracelet this time around. Each charm was $3-$5 dollars and I saw a few that were $10 and up and I believe the blank charms with nothing on them were the ones that cost $3. So a full bracelet could run you about $90. So sadly for me it wasn't worth the cost especially so close after the holidays. I like doing price comparisons and I saw that I could make an Italian charm bracelet through Etsy way cheaper so I may go that route. But I will say that this charm bar is very cute and definitely would be a fun activity for someone's birthday or a fun activity to do with friends. I ended up getting a bracelet as planned and was going back and forth on if I should get a charm or not. I was pretty indecisive at first on what I wanted but the associate was really sweet and let me see all the options I was toying with before making a decision. I decided to add a letter charm to my bracelet which came out perfectly, but it is a bit on the pricier side compared to just getting the bracelet (ended up being about $100 after tax for 1 charm). The entire process was smooth and I walked out of there in less than 15 minutes. The staff was very helpful and made sure I was satisfied with the resizing of the bracelet. I even tried some of the anklets but decided not to get it this time. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a permanent jewelry.
