I brought in my grandfathers wedding band that he left me after passing away, to have it resized. The in store customer service was great. They told me that it would take two weeks to have the band resized and would $100. After two weeks passed I finally got an email to approve the estimate so they could start the work. Their new estimate was $300. The wedding band was simple, no stones, and I was sizing down. When I went into the store and asked them about this they said was the new price they were charging to resize rings. It is annoying that not only were they not sticking to the timeline that they gave me, but that they decided to increase the price to do a simple ring resize by 300%. Particularly when other places around the city have quoted me at $40. The worst part of my experience is because they took so long, and weren't upfront I wont be able to bring his ring to the funeral with me.EDITED July 16, 2021. I got a call back from Dorian who proceeded to try and blame me for the situation saying I had only brought the ring in a week earlier (July 9th), he also tried to stay that the repairs center was running behind so my ring was forced to be done in August. I demanded that they give me an exact date when they would get me the ring and that they expedite it like they said they would. I got an email back saying that it would be done Friday the 16th. When I went to pick it up it took another 45 minutes of back and forth because they had stamped the inside of the ring with the Tiffany & Co name when it originally didn't have it. I have also reached out to their corporate customer service and was told the district manager would contact me. I walked into this Tiffany's on a whim - I had never been and happened to be in the neighborhood. I thought I'd ogle and possibly see if there was anything small I could get my mother as a gift. Was not expecting to be treated as a criminal. I was not greeted when I entered but as I walked through, I was followed by a salesperson. They did not talk to me. They followed my every move quite obviously, literally matching my movements, and made me feel very, very uncomfortable. After having enough, I looked the salesperson right in the face and said a friendly "Hi". They did not reply. I decided to leave. What the salesperson did instead of replying was to alert a security guard to stop me. The guard called out to me across the store, like from 20 feet away. They asked what I was looking for. What I was doing there. After a few minutes conversation in which I was interrogated and made to justify why I entered the store (???) he tried to make me talk to a salesperson, pushing me to look around either out of embarrassment for treating me like a thief or maybe because it would prove I really had a reason to be there, who knows. I was obviously not in the mood to browse. I wasn't dressed in any particular way - no giant trench coat with matching ski mask - more like nice casual. They have a cute location in Soho that spans the entire avenue so it doesn't look like much from the entrance, but it's a super long store. The inside is pretty quiet and uncrowded, making it a nice place to browse. I walked in knowing exactly what I wanted though and a representative greeted me within minutes, which was nice. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she took me there immediately. Overall, great experience! She was super friendly. I proceeded to ask if i could just exchange it and have them order it and send it to my house. She said she can't exchange it because they don't have it in store. (Duh, i think we acknowledged that) also they would have to charge me $20 for delivery.. after i hear this i walk over to talk to my bf and see what we should do.. While it was happening my bf was waiting to be helped by "customer service" to get my bracelets polished. They completely ignored him!! It was an Asian woman and Caucasian male. They were about to walk to the back and i said "so are any of you going to help us ?" The Asian lady ran to the back and the male proceeded to help us. I was so over the entire process i had to tell my bf to take over bc i was about to lose my shit!! In the end we decided to return the bracelets. Wow. The customer service here could not be any better. The showroom extends a full block, stretching from Greene to Wooster Streets, but you'd never guess it from the subtle, unpretentious entrance on Greene. You know the beautiful (and expensive) pieces that you can find at Tiffany -- but on my last trip, I went in to buy something very small and simple. Alim helped me find something that suited my needs and budget and he provided truly top notch customer service throughout my entire visit. On top of it all, Alim was incredibly gracious while I took my time to shop around. Alim made me feel truly valued as a customer and completely comfortable, irrespective of what (and how much) I was purchasing -- to me, this is the hallmark of, not only a retail professional, but also a genuinely lovely person. While I was initially hesitant to visit this Tiffany location due to the overall Yelp rating being lower than the other Tiffany NYC locations (and some reviewers mentioning snobby service), I'm so glad I went in this store anyway! This store feels so much more intimate and personal than the 5th Ave location, and I found the customer service to be truly excellent here. Every single sales associate I came in contact with at this location was friendly, warm, and courteous, with no hint of snobbiness or pretentiousness. My husband and I were looking for an anniversary band to celebrate a milestone wedding anniversary, and Jasmine helped us find the perfect anniversary band to stack with my wedding ring set. We were also offered water and champagne, and Jasmine offered to take our photo to commemorate the anniversary gift. While this location is of course smaller than the 5th Ave location, I loved how it felt much warmer while still being extremely elegant. Also, unlike the 5th Ave location, it didn't feel touristy as the 5th Ave location is packed with tourists browsing. Highly recommend a visit here! read more

As we were walking around the Soho area we stopped in here. At first, it took awhile for anyone to acknowledge us. I was becoming very frustrated as I was looking for a specific bracelet which I wasn't able to locate. My husband asked someone for help and we got a polite, I'm busy. So much different from when we walk into the Dallas Northpark store. Then Ian approaches us and asks if he can help us. They had the bracelet and I got another piece to commemorate our trip. On a busy weekend, they do seem a bit understaffed at times and there will be some customers lingering around waiting for assistance. I called in to have something put on hold. When I went there towards closing time, it was practically empty with no customers. I guess that would be the best time to go in. Gave my name to the sales rep. and paid for my item that was on hold. I got out within 10 minutes. Quick service if you look online and call ahead, but if you go in during peak times, prepare yourself and be patient until a sales rep is free. While the store is far smaller, it makes up the difference by featuring great customer service and a dearth of huge crowds, which makes a huge difference when you're here to do some holiday shopping. They also carry a decent amount of items and is situated in SOHO which is also a plus if you're looking to get some other shopping done in the area. My boyfriend and I were interested in getting a promise ring, but wanted to try on engagement rings as well. When I was younger, I love going to the mall and buying their Return to Tiffany collections, but now I grew out of that look and more into their bright shiny jewels. Finally, retailers decided to stop monopolizing the 5th Avenue area and move downtown. Such a nice addition to SoHo, but of course if you want to get all Touristy - the 5th Avenue location is pretty spectacular. I was politely greeted by the security guard, but unfortunately that was the last greeting I received. On vacation in NY for my birthday I had some cash to burn and Tiffany's was my first choice. However, with not one of the employees (I counted at least 5 people on the floor) greeting me or asking me if I needed help, I moved on and treated myself to some wonderful Kate Spade items. I've been shopping at Tiffany's for a long time, necklaces from high school days, earrings from college days and now a diamond ring, or so I thought. I walked in with my best friend because we wanted to try on some diamond rings. We just got a fat bonus and we were both like why not. The moment we walked in, we felt the snootiness in the air. We walked over to the diamond rings and we stood there for a good 10 minutes and no one offered to help. what do we have to do to get some attention around here, smack a bitch with some benjamins?! There was some short blonde who acknowledged us, but didn't even bother to help. Conveniently though, she decided to help a couple who came in after us and was basically groveling at their feet, hoping to make a sale. get ahold of yourself, woman! We finally had to ask the asian lady at the counter to help us. She was not having it. She was bored, annoyed and would have rather been out in the freezing cold than help us. We told her we were getting engaged, hoping to lighten the mood a bit. She could care less. In fact, the first chance she got, she ran off to the back and was no where to be found. I've never met a bigger bitch in my life. When we were finally done trying on rings, we wanted to leave because it was so obvious that no one took us seriously. The store was practically empty too. I am surprised to see all of the negative reviews for this location's customer service. I stopped in 10 minutes before closing, which if there is going to be a time for spotty service, I think 10 mins before closing would be it. Instead we were assisted by a patient, friendly, and professional salesman named Hal. I know his name because he emailed me a few days later thanking me for stopping in. We were picking out sterling silver earrings as a graduation gift, which is by no means a big ticket item, but never felt rushed, and I think it was a full half an hour after closing when we finally left the store. Not only was the salesman helpful with looking for earrings, but also assisted me in trying on a few close by items, which it was clear I just wanted to try and was not considering purchasing. I think this is pretty darned good service. We were the last customers to leave the store and security was a very nice while walking us out of the store, in fact, all of the staff we passed on the way out wished us a good night. As to the store, it is beautiful and I like the selection more than the Wall Street location, which is also beautiful, but with a more modern and masculine design. The blue stone walls off the Greene street entrance are gorgeous, the service area decorated so prettily, and I think they did a clever job with the partial wall that hides the silver and gold room. Coming in from Greene Street, you see all of the cases with diamonds sparkling, pass the service desk and see a wall, which makes you think for a moment this location only carries the stuff that dreams are made of (aka pricey diamonds). But then you see the wall curves a little, and you follow it, and a massive room opens before you with cases of gold and silver jewelry. Overall I think they did a great job with the design for this location, and I liked the service. As beautiful as the flagship store is, I can't bear to deal with the sheer volume of tourist in the store, and am happy to have this Soho outpost. Although they do not do service at location, I am perfectly happy dropping my jewelry off here for service and picking it up at a later date. Years ago the service department at the 5th Ave store would almost always do repairs/cleanings while you wait, but for the past few years they want you to pick up at the end of the day anyway, so I have been taking my items to the Wall Street store in recent years, and the Soho store is just all the more convenient. read more

The supposedly sterling silver necklace that looked very shiny on the first day , turned BLACK on the 5th day that I wore it. I brought the item back to the store trying to find out if I can get it exchanged or cleaned or any kind of explanation on why this happened. Instead, i got dirty looks from the staff , as if I was trying to steal something. They kept telling me that it's my skin that turned the necklace black. I wear silver my whole life, purchased in many different countries, and never did it ever turn black. I also own a bracelet from Tiffanys that I now have for over a year, IT DIDNT TURN BLACK! The staff was rude, unprofessional and disrespectful. When my boyfriend purchased the necklace, they took down his personal information, and when we returned with a problem, staff told us that , there is no such info on file -like the purchase never happened. So tell me, what was the point of taking down his information? Just for the looks of being "professional". I am in shock that such a huge company , is so poor in organization. Had stop by this Tiffany's location since the Wall Street location didn't have what I needed so it was ordered and shipped to the Soho location for me since the timeframe I needed to pick up the gift I knew I would be in Soho so only makes sense to have it shipped there for me. The friendly customer service representatives called me to inform me that it had arrived and was ready for pick up. Pick up customer service is located in the back of the store. The customer service is always outstanding at Tiffany's. I only had to wait a few minutes for for a representative to assist me and just a few minutes more for them to go retrieve my order. Big mistake getting it at this location. We walked up to the counter and were ignored for a solid 10-15 minutes before the security guard hinted to one of the sales assistants to help us. Didn't know there was a SoHo location until we were on the train on the way to the flagship location and this popped up as the closest one on Google Maps. I had a necklace chain that had snapped after only a month of wear, and was bringing it in to get it fixed. Everyone here was very professional, from the doorman/security guy to the associate at the counter who walked us over to customer service, to the customer service associate (Mary?) who helped us. The experience was painless, they gave me a call less than 2 weeks later when it was ready for pickup, and pickup was a breeze. Joey packed up my items and brought them down the block as I waited on the hydrant. I thought that was extremely nice of him to do that. This story starts with my purchase of a Tiffany necklace about a year ago. I loved the necklace and was very pleased with it. Fast forward about a year later, I went to put the necklace on and couldn't believe how tarnished it was. I tried to clean it but had no luck. I was very disappointed since I have much cheaper jewelry that looked much better than this necklace. I decided to email customer service about this. I explained my issue and that I didn't think I still had the receipt, since I didn't think anything would ever happen to this necklace that would warrant the receipt. I heard back from them the next day. They stated that they were sorry to hear that I was disappointed with the wear of my necklace and that I could contact them and they would send me a cleaning kit or I could bring the necklace in for a cleaning. Since I knew that I would be in NYC over the weekend, I decided to take it with me and stop in to see about a cleaning. I went to the location on Greene St. since it was the closest to my hotel and I really enjoy this neighborhood. I took it in on a Saturday afternoon. The store was very busy and when Anne waited on me she apologized for the wait. I showed her my necklace and she stated that it needed a good cleaning. She explained that normally the cleaning takes 48 hours and once it is cleaned the jeweler will check over the necklace to check for any defects. It also had a small kink in it, which was totally my fault for not always treating it properly, she informed me that the jeweler would also get the kink out for me, something I was not expecting. I was going to be going back home the next day so the necklace won't have the full 48 hour cleaning process. Not to worry, Anne stated that they would hold on to it for me for however long it took me to get back there. She explained that she had a customer earlier who had picked up their jewelry after 3 years. I could never be without my necklace for 3 years but I knew that I would be back in the city in two weeks so I might as well leave it. Once I found out this service was complimentary, I decided to also leave my double interlocking circle pendant to be professional cleaned. I picked up my necklaces today and all I can say is wow, they both look like they are brand new. I am so impressed by this store and the customer service that was given. This is how all retail experiences should be. I also walked out today with a brand new pair of earrings and this won't be my last purchase at Tiffany. Staff were very helpful despite being very busy and they are much friendlier than the Flagship staff. I'm glad they opened a Tiffany in Soho and if you're ever shopping there, ask for Joanna ... She is lovely. read more
