Tico is the man. The well known "wrap cart" is a very hot commodity around VCU/MCV campus. The wraps that they make are phenomenal which make them the best food cart in the city for lunch. I even find myself going here for lunch even though I brought my own lunch. It's that good. PROS: - Fresh ingredients - Great customer service/experience - Customization/very broad menu choices CONS: - Long lines could deter people away from their hour lunch break - Only open seasonally (March - November)

I found Kenn-Tico in 2014. I ate there religiously at least twice a week. Now, whenever I'm downtown around lunchtime, I make a special trip. Their wraps are freshly made with fresh ingredients. There are about 8 different wraps on the menu, There are three types of tortilla wraps which makes makes a total of 24 different taste combinations. You can of course ask for different topping combinations. The sauces are home made and delicious. I got the hot sauce once.......once. It's hot to me. Now for the wonderful personality that makes them. He chat's you up and puts a smile on your face. He remembered my order after a couple visits and always told me to try the hot sauce lol!!! Great guy great wrap, you'll keep coming back.

Fresh limeade or lemonade FTW! The limeade is killer

Sooooo, I'm kind of obsessed with this food cart. The veggie wrap they have is fricken ridiculous and I had to put myself on a leash or I would eat here every day and be a fatty. They have this spicy sauce...if you like-a (not typos, say it like that) the spice, you need to go get some right now. I have no idea what it is, but it's hot & delicious and you will want it on all your sandwiches. It is not for the weak spicers though. Amazing none the less. Oh, and to make it better...they make FRESH lime-aid... like squish the lime in front of your face fresh. So delicious :D Everything is made fresh and the people are so nice and it's super cheap. If you work at MCV or nearby, definitely get your lunch on here. You won't be disappointed. Trust me! NOM NOM NOM p.s. I think it's cash only, a 10 spot should be more than enough

Fresh, tasty, filling, friendly, good price; and fresh lime juice option. The best lunch wrap in town, or opt for the salad version.

I'm so in love with it for some reason, although my first experience was the best. The pita isn't great and falls apart but you can use a fork. It comes with several tasty falafel pieces, lettuce, tomatoes, onions (very fresh). The tzatziki sauce is on the side and so is some red pepper hummus. I like to dip the broken off pieces of pita into the hummus and I've seen people buy extra pieces of pita. I have also tried the chicken gyro which I wasn't as crazy about but still good. Average price for the carts, $5-6 dollars. All the entrees seem pretty popular and the special side salad is also usually popular.

Thuy V., you owe me five bucks. (grin)…read more I took your suggestion and tried the falafel gyro at Cafe' Tarra and I am at a loss to find what you found so delicious. I'm not going to slam Cafe' Tarra (much) because this is the only time I've tried them, but I hope the rest of their food isn't as bland as the falafel gyro plate. Cold pita; falafel that's lack of flavor was only outdone by its overcooked-ness (is that a word?); completely bland hummus and tzatziki( if that's what those were "supposed" to be). I was wondering why at noon on a work day that there were lines at almost all the other food carts except Cafe' Tarra.....I think I now know . This kind of food is what makes people not like or want to try vegetarian food. Maybe I just caught them on a bad day.

The brick and mortar also houses RVA Street Foodies around the back, but once you step inside, there are two frozen dessert carts holding the different flavors. We tried the Mango Pina Colada with a strawberry drizzle, and Tie Dye (which is a swirl of lemon, lemon-lime, and blue raspberry). Both were of super generous amount that comes in a cup. I really liked the strawberry drizzle, as it seemed to be made with real strawberry puree; the Mango Pina Colada tasted much better than the Tie Dye, as the Tie Dye seemed to be more lemon-centric. I also thought it would have been more icy, but it was super smooth and sort of overly 'soft,' if that makes any sense! Staff were friendly, and there are about two small 2-seater benches to wait for your dessert and some tables in the back; otherwise, the place seems to be more of a to-go/carry-out place. I'm glad I was able to check this place out. +get the strawberry drizzle +friendly staff +limited seating
