Beautiful rooftop with some decent drinks. Went there for a friend's birthday so I was not able to get pictures of all the food but for the most part with the exception of a few dishes, it was nice but underwhelming. My favorite dish of the night was the garlic parmesan wings. I'm definitely a huge fan of saucy wings and they were delicious. The whole thing about finger licking good applies 100% to these. On the other hand, there were the Buffalo wings that were just okay. Nothing out of this world and nothing else to make them stand out. As I mention in probably all my reviews, I have an unfair bias towards saucy things and these were by no means saucy. Closer to what you'd consider dry than anything. Just like the premise of some of the food, not bad but not great. We also ordered the ceviche. Nothing special but it was solid ceviche. I did rather enjoy the 606 Meat and Cheese platter. It was a great sharable dish for a group. I also have a nice soft spot for adult lunchables and what better way to do it while being fancy? I had a couple friends that I trust their taste mentioning that the burger had the potential to be good but needed just a tad more flavor or salt. I didn't get the chance to try it out but thought I should mention it. I'd definitely come back but maybe not so much for the food. I mean I probably should've expected it as far as the food but still gotta review it. Go for the drinks, gorgeous rooftop, and the amazing ambiance. read more

Wonderful place, although one side of the view are residential dwellings but still a beautiful view. The meat and cheese platter, well where can you go wrong with that. This place had GREAT views and a comfy environment, but unfortunately the service was horrible. Our server was not attentive whatsoever, and we sat with empty drinks waiting to put in a food order for over 30 minutes. We decided the service wasn't going to improve, so we ordered a side to take home. Once we put in the order for the side, it was simply never brought to us or even put in. Really cute ambiance!! There are lounge couches all over the rooftop along with regular tables and a nice bar. There's also a neon sign that's perfect for taking a picture if you want to get your IG clout in. Great skyline view of downtown. The menu isn't extensive as far as food is concerned. It focuses mostly on drinks, with a great US presidents theme, which I'm going to guess is why it's called Kennedy! I had the FDR, which was a nice rum cocktail with a spicy finish. Loved it! From what I understand, they're a bit understaffed due to COVID, so I feel kind of awful knocking off a star for the service, but honestly the wait between times we could get our server's attention turned our party off to at least 1-2 rounds more that we would've happy to have ordered. New location in Wicker Park, Kennedy Rooftop is a really special place to be! You get amazing panoramic views of the city day and night. They also have plenty of beer on tap including many holiday ones for the fall like pumpkin jager! I personally love holiday drinks! I got to sample a few with their flight special. My favorite food item was their saucey shrimp tacos! Their flatbreads with goat cheese and meat is phenomenal and their burger is FULL! Highly recommend for a fun / special night out! read more

Kennedy's rooftop has a very nice atmosphere. Given that the nights are getting cooler the heaters are a nice touch... Everything seems perfect especially the kindness of the door hostess who was kind. But that manager - Devon or Gavin idk her name but she was there in the evening on 9-11-20. She was out right nasty and rude.( changes up the entire review) There is no reason to catch an attitude when questions are asked or if your visiting from out of town and your pay method has to be different than the table. On a new Covid world review kick... have prob 6 spots in my rotation and this is one now for mid week stops. We live around the corner so that helps. Great view. Covered roof (it's 92 today sooo that helps). I rolled up with my 3 yr old in tow for dinner and the staff was so nice. They have a kids menu which is super reasonably priced and overall food / drinks are not hotel outlandish at all. I like spots that are following the rules, but don't make me feel like they are miserable and I should stay at home. That's the new Covid dining benchmark. Great peeps from the parking guys telling me where to go; to the hostess to our waiter. Food was fine, basics on the menu, nothing bad nothing off the charts. Ordered from the server after waiting forever, then went up to the bar to order when drinks didn't come, then recited the same order to the bar tender 15 min later when she came over to ask our order again, then here comes the server all ticked off that we ordered from the bar who still didn't have the drinks ready. Hostess were friendly and great with explaining details on how they are managing Covid. First restaurant bar I've seen with all runners wearing gloves. Hostess, Monet, was amazing in helping me get a table as quickly as she could. We were seated in under 5 minutes. The skyline views were spectacular. The rooftop decor was inviting with plenty of heaters and the layout was open. There was a big screen TV at the bar that was playing sports and can be seen from the other side of the rooftop. So, I came here with my cousin in the intention of getting some quick beverages and meals. To begin with, it took an eternity for a waiter to even bring us water or ask if we needed anything. I hate how they made us wait so long, I'm so disappointed on how they respond with their customers. That was a little inconvenient because we were starving. Nice view, bad service We dined at the Kennedy last night, Sunday before Labor Day. The wait was short to get up to the 7th floor but once we arrived to the rooftop, the hostess told us that because of high winds and incoming rainstorm they were no longer seating outside. She asked us to wait indoors until she got word from her supervisor that it was clear to sit outside. We waited for 30 minutes without being served even water. The hostess and waiters did not check up on us or give us any updates on outdoor seating . We had to flag down waiters that were busty serving the outdoor guests. All while they allowed other patrons that had walked in after us to sit outside. After the 3rd time flagging down the hostesses, to inquire about seating, we were finally told they had a table for us outside. Once outside the service was okay....food was just okay. We had the Kennedy burger and Wicker Wich...nothing spectacular but okay. read more

The bartender asked if I was sitting at a table and said we had to order from a server. When I told her we had been waiting 15 minutes with no acknowledgement she said she would send someone over. A server finally took our order- 15 minutes later we still had not been served. How long does it take to pour a glass of wine? So we enjoyed the view for 35 minutes and left with never being served. Very unprofessional management. I reserved a table of 12 with them about 10 days in advance. The day before my reservation I called to confirm and they said my reservation did not exist. Apparently they have an employee who makes imaginary reservations. I emailed their sales department to make a reservation, I never heard back until six days after. I got frustrated and called the rooftop directly and they were kind enough to make my reservation. Little did I know it was to good to be true.
