Beautiful view!!!! We were seated and waited 15 minutes as several servers walked by our table. After one of them told us someone would be right with us, I went up to the bar to order. The bartender asked if I was sitting at a table and said we had to order from a server. When I told her we had been waiting 15 minutes with no acknowledgement she said she would send someone over. A server finally took our order- 15 minutes later we still had not been served. How long does it take to pour a glass of wine? So we enjoyed the view for 35 minutes and left with never being served. Beautiful view. Great food. I prefer after work drinks and lunch menu rather than the brunch options.

A little disappointed because I heard great things about this rooftop. Food was very mediocre and I asked for a cucumber martini that was nottttt good. Had the chicken wrap and it was super dry. We were sat right next to the bar so it was very squished and our table was wobbly. We went underneath a tent so view wasn't great. Will maybe give it a chance in the summer once the rent is gone. read more

Great VIEWS!! Staff was friendly and welcoming. For drinks we tried the old fashioned, Paloma, and the Reagan Orange Blossom. Food was fine (tried the flatbread and wings), but again you are there for the atmosphere definitely. read more

Very unprofessional management. I reserved a table of 12 with them about 10 days in advance. The day before my reservation I called to confirm and they said my reservation did not exist. Apparently they have an employee who makes imaginary reservations. I emailed their sales department to make a reservation, I never heard back until six days after. I got frustrated and called the rooftop directly and they were kind enough to make my reservation. Little did I know it was to good to be true. Don't let Kennedy Rooftop ruin your special day/event, don't bother. read more

Beautiful rooftop great for all occasions. Generally rooftops feel very crammed but this one is very spacious providing a very unique view of the skyline. Staff were very accommodating and great to interact with. It really feels like you're downtown with none of the annoying parts, best of both worlds for sure. read more

I almost don't want to give it 5 stars because it will give away the best kept secret in wicker park. I love love LOVE this place. Obviously the rooftop views are *chefs kiss* amazing, but the staff are so friendly and kind. The rooftop is dog friendly which makes it amazing for my lil guy. The food is quite good. The pani puri is amazing and the drinks (Abraham lincoln--yum!) are so god. Definitely recommend if you're in the area. read more

A couple of things.. Rooftop with LIMITED umbrellas. It is extremely hot here with the sun beating on you for the entire SLOW experience. They did ask if we were okay with the sun, which normally I am, however they didn't tell us it was going to be extremely slow service. Our waitress seems "out of it" which created some awkward moments of ordering... I ask for recommendations and she had none, but she said "I really like brunch". Helpful.. she barely checked on us. the drinks were good, not breathtaking. They seemed very light on alcohol but still charged 15 dollars... we are still waiting for our food which as of now, its still not out and it's been 22 minutes. We only ordered a burger and an egg breakfast wrap. The server said they were backed up in the kitchen, no problem. But then they delivered only my meal and not my partners... his wasn't even on the order apparently.. UPDATE it's been 26 mins. They brought my partners food but it was the WRONG order. Wow. I wish this was a better experience because I live right around the corner. Not sure if we will come back, but the view is phenomenal and tempting. the heated igloos at the Kennedy are SO fun. truly the best view of the city and near a ton of other fun bars to go to after like Paradise Park or Big Star so my recommendation would be to start here in an igloo, get the espresso martinis (yum) and some food (the margherita pizza and cookie skillet were so good), and take in the views and then bop on down North Avenue. our server was super sweet and attentive. would 100% recommend. read more

Really nice rooftop restaurant that comes with a great view outside. Wasn't super busy when my partner and I went there to visit the city. Cocktails are nice and strong. The parking situation is mainly street parking and isn't super pricey if only plan to stay for about an hour or two. When I was told about this location, I had to check it out. Of course I did my research. I loved the reviews which made my decision to select here to celebrate my birthday a prime selection. The area is amazing. The view from the rooftop is beyond works, the skyline was breathtaking to take in. I am glad to have chosen here. The staff was friendly and welcoming as soon as I stepped in. The area is clean and plenty of space for large groups or small. Since it was a weekend, i was thinking it would more crowded but it wasn't the wait was bad at all. But I did read it does get a little busy so bring your patience just in case. I was there around 6:00pm which for me was a perfect time. The bartender had a smile a her face when I orderd my drinks that were perfeclty made. That also made the experience even better. We had a converstation, she said it is a hidden gem and I would have to agree. You can't go wrong the Kennedy Rooftop. I do reccomened this location. The ambience and more is amazing. Went in expecting not too much because it was a rooftop bar. However, we were extremely disappointed by the service, which was provided by the manager (at least that was what the waitress told us). We were served once and we ordered a few drinks. But after we were left alone for over an hour despite trying to flag down someone to order food. We also noticed that all tables with PoC had bad service/almost no service. We eventually were serviced by a waitress (who was awesome but not assigned to our table) and so we ordered extra drinks and some food, but also the check (so that we could leave after finishing our meal). We received our food and drinks but not the check. Not till we flagged down the busboy about it. Once the check was received we went up to the bar to pay. This seemed racial due to all the other tables that were not PoC seemingly got fast and excellent service. The food was just okay, but drinks were great. Needless to say we won't come here again till things change. This is 2021 and the color of my skin should not effect how the service I receive is. (The place was not super busy) read more

Sunday night: Very nice place to stop for a few drinks ( priced for the area) and ambiance. The hostess was very friendly and did her best to accommodate my husband and i for dinner with 4 people potentially meeting us for drinks. Servers were all friendly and attentive, our server happened to be the bartender and she was busy making all drinks and taking care of a few tables, kudos to her! With that said our.dinner was a bit disappointing: the fried garlic wings were good ( regular bar food) the fries were great, the burger was a waste of money. We asked for the burger medium well and it was over done, dry and tough. We didn't even eat it. Server was busy and never made it back to ask us about our dinner, when the busser ( correct word?) came to clean up we let her know and she apologized and took the plate. We thought she would let someone know but she didn't, without the food to show we figured we would let it go. Our group did show up and we were moved to a bigger table, like i said they did their best to accommodate us and we appreciated it. If i go back I'll probably stick to appetizers and drinks. I'm giving 4 stats for ambiance and servers and 2 stars for the food. FYI: We stopped the night before and they said it was a 2hr wait so we signed up for the waitlist and sadly we were never sent a text to at least let us know one way and r the other. read more

Kennedy Rooftop was nice. It took a little while for us to get drinks. Drinks were okay too. The main thing that disappointed was The Beyond Burger. My partner ordered the burger and noticed it was SUPER pink in the middle. We were so alarmed that we even googled if a Beyond Burgers are supposed to be pink (or THAT pink). Came to Kennedy Rooftop Oct 2, 2020 for a couple birthday cocktails before we hit some of Chicago's night life scenes. Our bartender MAX made me the best seasonal pumpkin spice martini type drink.
