You want Chinese food at a reasonable price and big portions, this is the restaurant for you. We actually ordered: salt and pepper chicken and beef with double mushroom with a bucket of white rice. The beef was tender and I love mushrooms. I would definitely come back. I also ordered a BBQ pork fried rice to go. It was a lot and not bad. The service was actually good, not your typical Chinese restaurant and plenty of parking.

Wow what a hidden little gem in Pacifica. Tucked away is this little restaurant that serves a well executed Chinese American restaurant. The Chinese food is spot on. Freshly cooked and tasty . On every other Friday they offer prime rib. What ?? Sure let's try it again tonight to see if last time it was lucky. But guess what the food was prepared well. I cannot complain. Soup clam chowder was delicious, I had to share. The dish came with starch and vegetables. This time was white rice , note to self ask for plain rice . Because they serve with gravy on top. And sweet corn as sides. The prime ribs was cooked to medium rare just as asked. Had to ask for horseradish. I did not leave that table with anything on my plate. The family had the Chinese food. Fried wontons, crab ragoons. Fried chicken wings. Orange chicken and salt and pepper pork. Even got a Togo won ton mein. All delicious. They even packed the leftovers. Instead of just handing out boxes. I love it . Lunch time they have lunch specials!!! Don't forget the specials on the board.

Stopped by this place while visiting pacific and it was a little hidden gem! The service was amazing and friendly! The food was food and they were big portions as well. The hot and sour soup was on point and overall every meal was delicious. The ambiance was local Chinese diner with great staff. The reason for 4 stars and not 5 was small cocktail shrimp was used for the fried rice instead of the regular shrimp which changes the flavor profile and not as tasty as using the regular shrimp. I know that's picky but it makes a rather big difference in taste. I would definitely be back

The food was not good. I got the Chicken Noodle Wonton Soup and it lacked flavor. I went early and everything was clean. The service could have been better. She tried forcing me to tip. Don't recommend.

This was such an unexpected hit ! We were in the area and I was so hungry ! We found through yelp and first impression was how cozy it is . It's like eating yummy food at home . Stopped in on a whim during a girls' trip and was seriously impressed! I'm usually picky about Chinese food; grew up next door to the owners of an amazing restaurant in Dublin, CA and haven't found anything that measured up since. Kenny's comes close! We had the honey walnut prawns (crispy, flavorful, and generous!), beef fried rice, salt & pepper chicken (made with white meat, which I prefer), and fried wontons. Everything was hot, fresh, and delicious. Great portions, quick service, and no-frills comfort food done right. I'll definitely be back!

I've been coming here for years!! I have had their food since I was in high school, and throughout the years I always recommend this place to all my friends and coworkers! It makes me happy hearing that they come on their own time because it means that they're getting the recognition that they deserve. Their food have always stayed consistent in the best quality, their staff are always attentive and make the place feel like home! It's always so comforting coming in and being welcomed by everyone! I always try to bring different people in, and those people bring new folks in too! Nothing makes me happier than seeing this place getting the love that they deserve with the amount of dedication and hard work they put in with every table that they serve. This restaurant will always have a special place in my heart! Very friendly family atmosphere. Food was quick and fresh. I ordered the wonton and noodle soup with shrimp. It was bland at first, but with a little hot sauce, it was perfect!

Excellent American/Chinese food, old school vibes, and friendly customer service. Prime rib special on Friday was a great cut/price under $30 for set meal. Salt and pepper fish was flavorful and fried to perfection. They also serve wine and beer, cmon! These are the businesses that should be patronized. Cheers!

Why have I never been here before? All the years I have missed having this amazing chinese food. Upon exiting the car in the parking lot, there is plenty of parking, I could smell the deliciousness in the air. We were greeted and seated promptly upon entering and all of the staff we encountered were friendly and smiling. The restaurant itself is no frills and that is just the way I like it. It is often a sign that the food is good. We ordered fried won tons, won ton soup, generals chicken, fried rice and chow mein. Everything was absolutely delicious! The won ton soup was perfect. I told my husband that the next time I am sick, I am going to send him here to get some soup for me. The fried won tons have meat in them, which I really like as some places just fry the won ton alone. They also served hot tea and left the pot for the table. This is now going to be my go to Chinese restaurant.

Been coming by for a while for Chicken cashew nut chow mein, can't get that combo in SF since are go to spot closed a few yrs. back. You get a choice of house soup. We go for hot & sour. Raymond turned us on to their fried wontons. They were tasty. They have a menu for party trays . They were a hit at our family get together as well as the cashew nut chicken chow mein. Kenny's cafe is a crossover between Chinese food and an American diner. When you walk in, you're hit with diner vibes with the red leather booths and bar seating. Old decor, old pealing tables, at least our table was not sticky! The menu consists of both Chinese and American food. Today, we were feeling Chinese food! We went with the lunch specials for a max of $13, you get a soup, entree and your choice of steam or fried rice. We ordered the Kung Pao chicken and Kung Pao shrimp. The soup arrived quickly! Good flavors and what you would expect from a family Chinese restaurant. The fried rice was soaked in a dark sauce, which is a first for me! My hubbys chicken dish was noticeably larger than my shrimp dish which is to be expected since seafood is more expensive. Taste was not bad but the rice was my least favorite. The food was so-so, not bad but not good either. However, the service and the ladies who work here are wonderful!

I have eaten here multiple times already. We have brought family here visiting from out of town and we also always order to go even though we have a lot of Chinese restaurants near our area already. I think mainly its the service. They have really good service and the customers looks like they are regular and they have good relationship with the owners. read more

Guys remember those hole in the wall Chinese places who served the best Chinese food ( for Americans / European) This place is it !!!! I stumbled upon this joint many moons ago while being super hungover at 10 am and in desperate need of hot n sour soup , but what I found was much more. Anyways coming back to today. They still exist , they still only take phone orders and use old school to go containers. And the food is still AMAZING. So is the service. I accidentally left a 50 dollar bill in a tip jar instead of 5 and lady chased me down the street ! Thank you for remaining this way for years !!! I'm on a hunt for the best Egg Foo Young after the closure of Sam's Chinese Kitchen in Pacifica. Kenny's Cafe delivered at incredible prices (I hadron get a box to carry the food), but I guess I read too much into the reviews and hyped myself too much. Nothing jumped out at me, especially their egg foo young- it tasted like it didn't have any salt. No hate, I'm a firm believer in under salting instead of over salting. The broccoli in oyster sauce was my favorite dish out of everything we ordered (Egg foo young, Salt and Pepper Pork, Beef chow fun, broccoli in oyster sauce, Kenny's chicken), and I'd return for the budget-friendly prices, but I will continue to look for Egg Foo Young elsewhere. This was my experience, don't let it discourage you from trying out Kenny's Cafe! They may have something I have yet to discover that is do die for and if so, let me know! Wow, some of the best Chinese food I've had! Kenny's is located off the beaten path in a shopping center. There is ample parking in the parking lot. When you get inside you seat yourself. Staff is friendly and eager to help. Make sure you check out the daily specials. They serve a lot of Chjnese food, but also a smaller American food menu. At first I overlooked the American food, but I noticed many people ordering the Prime Rib special. The general chicken I got was amazing. Huge pieces of flavorful chicken, light on the sauce, mixed with onions, and fresh broccoli on the side. I get this dish from various Chinese food places in the Bay Area at least once a week and Kenny's was the best. The egg roll was interesting. At first when you get it it looks huge! It's about twice the normal size. But then you realize it's double fried. The outer breading is a more puffy breading. It wasn't bad, but not great. I'll be back. Now to decide if I want General Chicken again or American food. Mmmm... read more

I got won ton soup from them last week. It was absolute mush. It wasn't even soup anymore. Weird. But their other food is great. Best BBQ pork fried rice ever. Staff is awesome. Would have given them 5 stars if it wasn't for the soup being such a disappointment. read more

Been my favorite Chinese since I was a kid. My kids have also been brought up on Kenny's one of the best. My favorite is Wor Won Ton Soup. I love their American specials especially short ribs or tri tip. Now my grandson is part of the legacy. Highly recommended if your in the area. If you want killer egg rolls and pot stickers you are in the right place. read more

We came back tonight and I tried their beef chow fun noodles (the dry version without gravy) and was happy with it. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who likes beef chow fun noodles. My husband had a cheese burger with fries and was very pleased with his meal as the fries were fresh and the cheese burger was very good and reasonable in terms of price. We love this place since we can order good-quality Chinese or American food, which is great when one of us craves for Chinese food while the other person does not. read more

Gone several times since my last review and am happy to say I haven't had one bad meal. Everything has been consistently wonderful. Always a treat to get complimentary fried won tons. Love the hot and sour soup. The chow mein and fried rice are so good. The beef and broccoli always yummy. Everything I have ordered over last several months has been delicious. The people are great and so is the food. Don't wait Kenny's is a local restaurant that is just another local business that makes Pacifica a great place to live. Of course they welcome anyone from anywhere and still deliver delicious chinese food with some yummy other options for those who prefer. Don't hesitate to go here. Two mouth sides up. ) read more

Mom and pop restaurant. Tried it for the first time and got the fried wontons loved them to die for and came with a good sized sweet and sour to dip em in ! Yummy comfort Chinese food, with the friendliest service (like so friendly, it stands out). We've tried both their hot and sour and won ton soups and some other popular items like their famous Kenny's Chicken and everything has been very good. Tried this place when visiting in Pacifica for the first time and my family and I loved it! The staff had great customer service and was very nice when placing an order and picking it up, they even gave us two free orders of fried wontons! All of the food was delicious and came in decently sized portions. The fried rice was not too greasy or heavy, and the orange chicken was delicious as well; this is definitely a spot to come to when in town! read more

My favorite soup since I was a year old. They always called us the "hot and sour soup family" and had our soup, vinegar, and hot sauce ready for us before they even took our order :) I moved to San Diego three years ago but every time my parents visit they drive 500+ miles to bring me my favorite food in the entire world. We went to this place for lunch around 1.30PM PST when visiting Pacifica. Wow! We were simply in love with taste, authentic Chinese food and taste was amazing. Placed below orders and each of them trust me each of them were so good. Vegetarian spring rolls which served with sweet sauce. Had repeated an order after trying. Sautéed Broccoli with hot garlic sauce. We asked to make it mild for kid. It served with steam rice and soup. Vegetarian chow min. It was one whole dish with no side dishes. Good for 2 people. My husband ordered non veg platter with soup and fried rice in the side. Should have capture his face. Was totally satisfied. Hot sauce bottle was kept on table to make it extra hot. And at the end off course fortune cookies!! read more

This place is practically my kitchen when I was too busy to cook but want to have fresh Chinese dishes. The food quality is always good with fresh ingredients. The taste is flavorful and not too salty. They also give free fried wonton almost every time I got takeout (over certain amount I think), which is a nice gesture! The owner May and her son Raymond are so very friendly. They both know me by name. I like going there as they treat us well and the food is good! read more

One thing I really loved was how easy it was to make a reservation online. Being able to choose your exact table and preview the view ahead of time was such a cool feature and made it easy to pick the perfect spot for a special dinner. The service was amazing from start to finish. We started with the smoked salmon appetizer with grilled baguette, mascarpone, onion, and capers, which was delicious. For my entrée, I had the Dungeness crab cakes with fall vegetables, mashed potatoes, marinated fennel, petite frisée, and caper aioli, and it was incredible. My partner got the lobster mac & cheese, which was rich, flavorful, and definitely did not disappoint. Between the great food, drinks, attentive service, and unbeatable view, it made for such a memorable birthday dinner. I'll definitely be coming back.

I recently visited Kenny's Cafe and had a solid meal with the fried wontons and Kenny chicken. The restaurant itself was a bit run down, with some signs of age in the decor, but despite that, it was surprisingly busy for a Tuesday night, which speaks to its popularity with locals. The fried wontons were crispy and flavorful, though I wished there was a bit more filling inside to really make them shine. They were still enjoyable, especially with the tangy dipping sauce. The real star, however, was the Kenny chicken. It had the perfect crispy coating, and the sweet and spicy garlic sauce was absolutely delicious--rich, flavorful, and just the right amount of heat. Despite the worn-down atmosphere, the service was friendly and efficient, and the place definitely has a loyal following. Overall, it's a great spot for tasty Chinese food, especially the Kenny chicken, and it's clear why it's so busy even on a weeknight. read more

Funny story...it was around 1993 and I had an engineering business in Pacifica. The future proprietor of Kenny's came to me for help in doing her layout and getting her permits. We worked on taking a corner of the Supermarket (per her arrangements) and making a cozy little restaurant. The Planning Commission was difficult at the time, but I had some friends there. I privately thought "this may be tough". By the time we went to Planning Commission, the owner was 8-1/2 months pregnant with Kenny! I told her to go to the podium with me to state her case, the Commission might show sympathy. Well that was an understatement...they looked at her and said something like "oh heck, approved!". Kenny was soon born and we ate there many times since, a nice little place with great food, I'm so glad they prospered! read more
