Needed to grab some water from the grocery store and Kenny's was the closest. The store is a lot older than most grocery stores I have been in. They had a great selection of bottled water refrigerated and not. I found a really cool Smart water with ginseng and green tea extract. It was very nice tasting. The cashier was very sweet, allowing my 5 year old to scan items. A lot of items in the store not just groceries. I would say if you are looking for a specific or specialty item they may not have it. read more

What a great store! On the smaller size of your average Safeway, but with a spectacular variety of quality health / special diet oriented goods, as well as regular grocery items. Kenny's carries Painted Hills (grass fed, pasture raised, natural) meat at a very fair price. Bob's Red Mill products galore. A small-ish but varied wine selection, including a few very good local, and European selections. The produce selection is impressive as well, with plenty of organic. In the past, I've gone to 3 different stores when grocery shopping in Lincoln city. Now that I've found Kenny's I can cut it down to the one! read more

They have everything you need, I bought 3 Dungeness crab from the meat counter and he even cleaned them for me. Prices are a little high but for convenience was great. read more

The owners of the Lincoln City IGA grocery store literally kicked us out of the store for defending another customer who called out someone in line for not wearing a mask. After we had already purchased our groceries we were told we were not welcome and police were called. We have shopped at this store many times over the years and will never do so again. Prices were mostly average considering it's not a box-type store. Healthy, wide selection of produce, deli and meats. My husband loved the beer selection! We were staying across the street at Captain Cook and able to find everything we need to stock the kitchen for the 4 days we stayed. Super convenient! Helpful and friendly staff!! read more

More so than any of the other grocery stores in Lincoln City, this one seems to cater most and best to the needs of short-term visitors. Like a really dolled-up deli and convenience store combined, they have shelves and freezer cases loaded with the ingredients and makings of 1-meal-no-leftover kind of cooking. -- For people renting a beach house or condo with a kitchen. They have gourmet fixings for a big salad. They have all the right cheeses for appetizers, tasting trays, salad, and breakfast. Sandwich makings... Lush pretty fruit... Pasta, sauces, and seasonings... Cocktail mixers, nuts, treats, soft drinks, beer and a little wine, sweets, chips, crackers, toasts.... lots of excesses and only-on-vacation -type stuff. The bakery, deli, and freezers have many heat-and-serve options -- What they're short on is pantry staples in less expensive and larger sizes -- just what you DON'T need if you are only in town for a few days.. But for visitors and short-stayers -- this is the perfect place for buying just those ingredients for a few easy meals, that won't leave you tossing out a bunch of food when you move on down the road! And they're next door to an excellent liquor store! *It is worth noting that there are really 2 of these stores -- one on the NW Hwy 101 address listed here, and another in the SW Hwy 101 "Taft" area of town at SW 50th St., about 3 miles down the road! The Taft store seems to have more seafood.... and the liquor store is across the street rather than next door! We went here only because it was closer to where we were staying and we were going next door to the liqueur store to get a growler filled or I would have gone to the larger chain store for better pricing and more selection. I was really expecting better prices. We were using our trailer so we wanted bottled water and they wanted almost $9.00 for a 24 pack no matter the brand. What a rip off! I usually do my shopping before we go on our trip but we had just been on a long trip to CA and didn't have time to stock our trailer. The store itself is clean and nice, but very small. It doesn't carry very much to chose from in my opinion. I would go back out of convenience again but not out of first choice. Just my two cents. read more

Hello, I walked in looking for some oysters and damn! Their oysters where phenomenal! The price was right and so I bought two additional bags. The store itself has a local feel to it so I appreciated the change from the big chain store. Employees were nice and friendly. Easy to talk to and even joke a bit. The pace was pleasant as I could talk to the employees and not feel as though I was being rushed out of the store. Selection is good with a lot of locally grown items but due to its size they couldn't carry everything. I would go back to this place and recommend others check it out. read more

IGA recently catered our wedding. The food was amazing, the service was perfect and the staff was always on top of everything. We had more than enough food and the price was very, very reasonable. They we there when they said they would be there and was on top of making sure no trays were ever empty. Gross-ry store, steer clear to stay alive. I have not smelled many places as bad as this. Dirty! It Is sparse on selection and had a smell of old old old old old old fish that was recently deep fried. Disgusting. My tough as nails four year old would barely go in and would not take his hand off his nose. My wife was starting to shop and I couldn't stand the though of eating food that came from here, we left. I worked in a IGA grocery store all though high school, and I am certain this place would not stand up to their expectations. One star just to post the review, stay alive and shop anywhere else. I absolutely love this place. It sells jugs of the most heavenly fresh-squeezed orange juice. That orange juice is one of the main reasons I go to Lincoln City for my birthday (in the dead of winter) every year. (It reminds me of my childhood birthdays in Florida with my grandparents, its that good.) I look forward to it for months, no lie, and go as often as I can, really. It is not something that I am able to find in Portland, or anywhere in Oregon, and it is special. Also, the employees are great, they have a nice selection of things a visitor to town might need, and nice produce. It's just a great place. read more

Visited the NW Hwy 101 location recently to buy some milk. Out of cash, I desperately needed some, so used my debit card, hoping to get at least $20 back. Ms. Friendly at the register told me that I could get cash only in the amount that I spent, so, my milk being $1.19, I could only get $1.19 in cash. Interesting. Opting for $0, I thought about her position, i.e. probably not wanting ones business to be treated like an ATM. But in terms of the small guy competing with the big guy down the street, it doesn't make for a compelling reason to shop in the small guy's store. I won't, not the next time. read more

Most checkers really friendly, all accept the heavy one that works at customer service booth. And heavy manager, female rude as well. Dont bother asking for cash back, even though thier debit machines offer it. Just go to Safeway, they will take care of all your needs as a good grocery chain should. read more

I will never shop there again. April 4th at around 630 I went to go shopping for an energy drink. They did not have the big ones in the refrigerated section so I put the one back I had in hopes to find a larger one with the I chilled soda. I was looking for Sao energy drink when the assistant manager jimmy came up and grabbed my sweatshirt and accused me of steal. I was harassed and humiliated and he denied it even happened the next day I called back. So I called the manager of the store named Andy. Not only did he not want to do anything about the situation he had the nerve to tell me not to come into the store again. I have heard they have done the same thing to many customers. Way better places to shop than this joke of a store that will profile your looks.... read more

I feel horrible giving a one-star review, but I feel I have a basis for doing so. My family has owned a condominium in Lincoln City the last 12 years. The IGA is a block from where we stay. Every. Single. Time. I have shopped at the store, I have to check the expiration date on all my products. The last three times, I have purchased items that still have a month or so to go according to the sell-by date, but are clearly spoiled when opened. The last two products in referring to are organic dairy products. Yuck! Even shelf stable food is within a week or two of the sell by date. The store must not get very many people purchasing items, but should really check their stock. I'll be going to Safeway from now on. I feel bad, as this is a locally owned store. I try to remedy the situation by taking my products back and asking for a refund/replacement. Only once have I received a sincere apology, other times the clerk just rolls her and looks put off. read more

Avoid this place. Looking for sunscreen, I came into this store to find sunblock for both myself and my daughter. I found hardly any options, and what I did find was extremely overpriced (more than double retail). In need though I went ahead with the purchase. When I tried to use the product, it came out clumpy, flaked off and didn't even work. I tried to return both sunscreens the next day, bringing in my receipt. The cashier couldn't make their "new" system work to put the overpriced amount back onto my debit card so instead she opted to put it on a gift card. I don't live in the area so the gift card is completely useless. When I tried to explain this to the cashier, she stonewalled me saying it was "company policy" to only put the amount on a gift card. Thriftway is only five minutes away, you're much better off going there. read more
