First time I tried a Momo. I got the chili Momo, which came in a bowl with onions and green peppers. The good thing is it came out steaming hot. Not sure if the outside was supposed to be as hard as they were. They were too big to eat whole and a bear to try to cut in half. I went back to the truck and asked for a knife, but they don't have knives, and pointed me to another truck that has knives. The flavor was just OK. The sauce I thought was way too sweet. It did have a good spice to it. Overall, just OK. Service overall just OK. I don't think I'd ever order them again. read more

I tried the regular steamed dumplings (the dipping sauce that came with it reminds me of curry), the panfried momos were enjoyed by my littles and the jhol (soup) ones were also amazingly flavorful. This food truck is in The Pines' lot, and pretty much only serves momos or a fried pile of noodles. We got two orders of steamed momos on the way home from Newport on a kind of late Thursday night. The woman serving them was nice, she told my son that she was bored and having a slow night. We had a short wait for our momos then we took them home. We did not eat there but they have an indoor covered space with a bar if you choose to stay. The momos were pretty good! They have thicker wrappers than typical potstickers and a meat ( chicken? pork?idk ) filling. I like them dunked in chili crisp which we have at home. Give them a try! The Pine Food carts are fun and relaxing. The space is relaxing, fun, and family friendly. Sometimes music, sometimes karaoke, and sometimes it's a little quieter. Today though is about Momo On The Wheels. This is the FRIENDLIEST food truck I've ever experience. The menu is small, making ordering soooooo easy. If you get some Momo (dumplings) you are winning in life! I prefer the sweet chili ones, they are a beautiful blend of sweet, spicy, and herbaceous! The flavor will blow your mind!!! Beware they are HOT, like melt your mouth lava hot (be patient, let them cool down ). What delicious momos! They were so good that we ended up going there twice in a 3 day trip to Lincoln City. They have those authentic East Indian / Nepali flavors. We picked up the first time and ate there the next time. They are a part of the Pine Dine food cart complex with a lot of indoor seating. The lady at the cart was very friendly too. All their momos have only chicken as the meat option. The only veg thing to order was the chowmein but that was really good too. We tried all their momos. Our favorites were the jhol momo (really comforting) and chilli momo (if you're craving some heat). We're definitely stopping here whenever we visit Lincoln City. read more

10/10 amazing. I love this place!!!! I've gotten their steamed momos many times and they're fantastic every time. They are served with dipping sauces which are so good, I could swim in them. It tastes almost like a curry, but I'm not very familiar with Nepalese food so I'm not sure what the spices are called, but I can tell you it's incredible. It's become a staple for each Lincoln city trip. They portions are also very large, you get a lot of dumplings and each one is full. I can't say enough, I love this place!!! Oh my. Oh my. We decided to check out the cart pod south of town and see what they had, and what a great decision that turned out to be! As we strolled through the cart pod and looked upon the many carts, we saw things that looked good, things that looked interesting, things worth trying. Then we froze in our steps. The "Chili Mo-Mo" picture and entry on the large menu was like a beacon, and we immediately knew what we were getting first. The first thing I asked the lady was "if it says Chili, and this is a nepalese cart, then I'm assuming this has to be spicy, right?" I was told "Oh yes, we can make it spicy." The sound of bells rang, the skies opened up, my bad knee suddenly healed. And for all this writing, they lived up to all of the hype. They were beyond delicious, the spice wasn't the hottest thing I've ever had, but had such great flavor, and the peppers and onions were a great touch. I thought about this all day after I ate it, and woke up thinking about how soon I could reheat all the leftovers I ordered. I seriously cannot wait to go back, and we'll squeeze in another trip before we go back just because it's so good. The lady working the cart was really friendly, had a great sense of humor and gave me some great tips on where to get spicy sauces! I can't recommend highly enough!!! read more

I am not going to pretend to be an expert on momos. I do like dumplings and these are the Nepali version. The filling is a mixture of ground chicken, vegetable, and Indian spices. They are really good and the sauce adds more flavor. An order of 10 momos for around $10 which is pretty good value. If you love dumplings, give these a try. read more

This was a great experience. The woman running the place was charming and helpful. As it was my first time, I asked for her recommendation between the steamed or fried dumplings. She cheerfully offered that while she preferred the steamed that that as a first timer I should try a 1/2 & 1/2 order. Both preparations were delicious. The food was ready quickly, very well prepared with fresh ingredients, tasty and satisfying. The curry based mild sauce was delicious( like would be good on all sorts of things) and the chili based hot sauce was well balanced and a nice addition to the hearty dumpling filling. Great lunch! Wow! These are little soup dumplings that are steamed or fried. I got the steamed ones. It comes with a red spicy sauce and a milder yellow daal tasting sauce. You get a beeper to know when the food is ready. It was pretty quick. Ate inside at the pines dine. They were unique and delicious. Will definitely otder again! read more

I love this place! It is hands down my favorite cart here in Lincoln City and the momos are a perfect food for a chilly day on the coast. I've tried them in all their forms and I'd have to say my favorites are the fried dumplings and jhol momo, which is a delicious soup full of lightly spicy curried meat dumplings that are filled broth that bursts in your mouth when you bite one. The dipping sauces are fantastic too, I'd recommend trying both, as one has some heat to it while the other is mild and has a depth of spices that complement the dumplings perfectly. The wait time can take 15 or so minutes at times, but it is worth the wait as you cannot rush love and good food. As a side note, the owner is a lovely person who has always been so friendly to me. Stop by and give it a try then come back again to try some of the other dumplings. You'll be back, it's love at first bite. read more

Unfortunately, that place has gone now and my hope for momo were gone until I stumble upon this cute little food truck Momo on the wheels! My first reaction is "I want to try everything she got!" Fried momos, steamed momos...chow mein. The chili momos are the bomb! Her spicy sauce has a slow kick to your throat. Works really well with the momos. The jhol momos soup is light and a little hint of lime in it. Everything is tasty. And the owner and chef is so super friendly. I already went back 2 times. So I waited patiently until she suddenly lashed out at me in front of other customers, accusing me of holding up the line and cussing at me. She then told me she wasn't serving me and that I could "f'ing wait for hours" if I wanted. Her behavior was unprofessional, disrespectful, and completely unprovoked, so I left without ordering. What is a Momo?? Nepalese style dumplings. Think Chinese dumplings with a slightly thicker dough meets a hint of Curry flavor, These dumpling were delightful! The whole family, including kids, ate them quickly. We tried both the steamed and fried and I would order both again. They were juicy and flavorful and came with a really really tasty dipping sauce. The woman behind the counter was very friendly and nice to chat with. My only feedback would be to encourage the owner to maybe add some simple signage To let customers know what a momo is and the flavor profile and ingredients. The food is fantastic, and frankly a silly good deal for a bowl full of dumplings! A small menu makes it easy to just pick something (order and commit), and you will be rewarded for doing so. I love steamed dumplings, and I love curry, so having them both in one dish was an absolute treat. Again, the food is outstanding and the ladies are very nice too!
