Never go here ! I will never be returning to this awful place, the manager Andrew is a piece of work. I came from a 2 Hour drive where we live in Oregon. And was nothing but excited to be on vacation and get a bottle of bourbon. I was in such a positive mood in fact that I complimented the employee that served me on his shirt, cause it was a Pendleton whiskey, shirt, and I had Pendleton bourbon. I was just being positive and polite and for whatever reason this guy had a power trip on me. I did nothing wrong. I wasn't aggressive. I wasn't disruptive to this workplace. I was just trying to buy myself a well earned bottle of bourbon to enjoy my vacation and this guy ruined my night. It seemed as if he was discriminating against me because I literally did nothing wrong. My ID is valid one of the new ones . I wasn't stumbling in there or not loud. All I did was smile and stick to Myself , and I got refused service for it, and when I asked for the manager, he took his glasses off and said oh I'm the manager I'm still not serving you. In fact he refused to serve me off of the one soul reason that he could just refuse service if he wanted to. I proclaimed that I was sober and that I had just drove two hours and I come here all the time when I'm in town. I've never had this problem once... this guy at the top of his lungs, made a huge scene in front of everybody and exclaimed that I exit the store immediately and he would not serve me. He didn't feel comfortable serving me he said. But wouldn't give me a logical or reasonable reason. I don't know if my positivity or good vibes rubbed him the wrong way or but this guy was horrible, and even the employee on the side was backing him up and yelling at me too to leave when I did nothing but just try to buy some alcohol and was even nice to Him at first. I regret even trying to be a nice guy to Him. In the moral of the story , I went back in the store after that because I was so upset. And I just wanted to give him some customer feedback and let him know. I would never be returning to the store and that would be writing a poor review and this guy said " good I don't give a shit all of the one star reviews on this place are about me anyways". He got really loud and aggressive, and got in my face and pretty much backed me out of the store. He also aggressively shoved the shopping carts in front of me acting like he was gonna put his hands on me or something and when I told him that I had him on camera just to make him feel or think something about himself or actions. He then goes "I don't give a fuck dumbass" after this he was staring me down like a hawk through the door. As a business owner and someone who prides himself off of customer service this left me with the most undesirable feeling of not returning I have ever gotten from any employee. Owner/ Employee didn't need to come out and get so nasty with the No Kings rally. It was peaceful. I had walked down to go in and left because he was screaming. No one was blocking entry. The old lady with glasses and dark hair seems like she is absolutely miserable and is extremely rude. She would do better in the back stocking, not talking with customers. She asked our party of four to show our IDs so we all held them out (like she LITERALLY had JUST asked us to do) and she glared at my wife and snapped "you need to CALM DOWN I'm just trying to do my job" as she held her card out. Very bizarre behavior. Would never recommend this place as it's clear after reading other reviews that the staff has a major attitude problem. read more

We live just a couple hours away and have been coming to this liquor store for years. We come in every time we are in Lincoln City and have never had a problem until today. There were four of us. Three of us were all over 21 and my son who is 19 was with us as well. We are well aware of the Oregon laws regarding minors in liquor stores in Oregon as we live in Oregon. My son came with us, did not touch anything and stayed in the area by the juice the entire time. We had directed him not to touch anything so if he wanted anything to let us know and we'd get it. He ended up not wanting anything and we headed to the counter with a bottle of vodka, some grapefruit juice and two of those jello shot things. As soon as we approached the counter the clerk (red hair, slender, bald on top, pointed beard) asked to see my son's ID. I explained that he's a minor but he's not buying anything and the rest of us are all over 21. In a very loud, almost as if he enjoyed it tone of voice he condescendingly explained that he could not sell us anything (not even the juice) because my son is a minor as was standing over by the juice when we weren't by the juice. We said okay and walked away and even as we were walking away he continued with his little speech. Here's the thing. There is nothing in the Oregon law that requires that a minor be standing within a certain distance of the adult. Additionally, he saw us come in and we all noticed the look he gave when we came in. It was as if he was looking forward to this little power trip and probably pulls it all the time. He could have, as soon as we walked in, asked if there were any minors and then explained the rules before we got any further. But, no, that would take away from the fun of his little power trip. We went next door to the grocery store and got supplies there. But, it's fair to say that we're done with that particular liquor store. We can bring our own from Portland or stop at the little liquor store just as you're driving into town. read more

My husband stopped in to buy some cocktail stuff and had my 17 yo son with him. They refused to sell liquor to my husband because my son was with him. She said he was not with my husband at all times and had touched something...completely untrue. So my husband left and took my son back to the hotel and I came back with him. They then refused to sell liquor to me because my husband was with me. Ridiculous! The law says minors can be in a liquor store when accompanied by a parent. We have literally been taking our kids into this particular store every time we go to Lincoln City and never had an issue before. Then to not sell to me...people take alcohol back home with kids in their home all the time. This lady was just rude! We definitely won't be going back. read more

This would usually be my favorite store to go to in Lincoln city until today. I walked into the store without a mask because I've been vaccinated and per cdc guidelines, and Governer Browns orders, masks aren't required anymore. Andrew rudely asked me to put my mask on, so I did, but apparently not to his satisfaction. While I was looking at the whiskey selection, 20' from any other person, Andrew walked over because I wasn't wearing the mask to his liking (which is merely performative at this point since I've been vaccinated). I called the store back and got Andrew's name, and the store owner's name, Jason, and proceeded to have another conversation with Andrew. He informed me that because they have to wear their masks all day (insinuating he was sick of it), he was going to make customers wear theirs as well, vaccinated or not. Dear Jason, as a fellow business owner, I would never keep an employee like Andrew on my staff. He was extremely rude and aggressive from the first interaction, and left such a sour taste about your business that I will never return. As a high end whiskey enthusiast, I love sharing and offering tastings to my friends and acquaintances, I'll be sure to steer them away from your store. I monitor these reviews occasionally. If you want to respond and let me know that Andrew has been let go, I'll be happy to change this review and recommend your store again. Otherwise, I thought it was a clean store with fair prices. This evening, the manager, Andrew, and his employees racially profiled my friends who had valid ID and were well above the age of 21, refusing them service on the basis of their skin color. Subsequently, I entered Liquor Outlet and they refused me service due to affiliation with my friends, while I also had valid ID and I'm 27 years old. This place is cool. Lots of fun things to look at. Displays change so don't get your heart set on seeing something. The staff are fun but be careful of the guys working the Growler Station. We came in with no intentions of buying beer.... I was able to resist all his chatter till he said would you like a free sample..... I really stopped listening at this point. He kept pouring and we kept smiling and laughing And that is how I walked out with a full new growler. You could sell a lot more things if they involved free beer samples... A great selection of spirits, mixers, cider, seltzer and great beer, plus an always friendly, helpful staff, and a growler station. I appreciate the one time I came in the lady behind the counter was attentive and answered my questions and was super polite and patient while I was checking out and taking my time so it seemed chatting it up with her about the area and things I had questions about even though this man behind me was rude and couldn't get to the counter quicker so as soon as I got my change he put his stuff on the counter and stood right next to me even though I hadn't barely moved yet forcing me to step away and looked at me angrily lol. read more

In the middle of a global pandemic, staff are in violation of CDC guidelines. No masks worn. Customers are required to unmask in order to verify ID. I had taken an unmasked picture outside and was told it could be anyone, despite a timestamp, same outfit, mask, and the business in the picture. This place seemed okay walking in, obviously cause it's a liquor store it's kinda expensive. We shopped around for a few minutes and found what we wanted, it was just a peppermint liquor. We wait in line and then when we get to the counter the employees rudely say they won't sell to us without a mask on. We come from an area where we haven't needed to wear masks for months so we hadn't thought to bring one. We are totally understanding if a business puts masks at the door and politely asks us to put one in. But to let us walk around the store no problem and then so rudely say it and not even offer a mask after we just wasted our time. The were rude about this to other people who came in too. Bad service. I still wanted the peppermint so I went to my car and dug out a mask but then after I waited in line again they wouldn't sell it to me without my husband coming back in too with his ID.... it was just peppermint.... if we weren't 21 he wouldn't have stood in line with me the first time. It's not like we were buying cases of beer for a party. This place needs to relax and try being nice. We will never be coming back. read more

their beer selection is adequate only if you like pale ales - they have lots of those but very little of anything else. They should change the "beer" sign to a "IPA" sign. The liquor store in Newport has a MUCH better selection. If you want beer but don't like IPAs, don't even bother with the lincoln city store. read more

Oh snap! On a list of things I never thought I'd find in this one-seahorse town, a liquor store stocked with a huge selection of premium, local and craft spirits was pretty high on said list. Especially if you add in one that has a great beer and wine selection and does growler fills! No longer will I have to try to plan ahead for a long, stormy weekend at the coast (which inevitably involves tasty bourbon and other cocktail fixins). I can simply roll out there and buy local. This spot (located near the IGA on the NW side of town... map marker now correct!) is easy access when rolling in and has pretty much everything you need. Now all I have to do is bring a growler or two with me to fresh tap brews as well. It's a win-win-win (because when you get to spend a stormy weekend with a cozy bottle of bourbon, good friends and good food the whole world wins). read more

I moved here a year ago -- and while almost every bottle of wine I attempted to move failed in a dramatic way and ended up down the drain -- I've been drinking the rest of my transplanted bar, bit by bit, for months. Until the last few weeks. I went hunting and visiting all the liquor stores in Salem -- and found a real winner -- but OMG. I should have just stayed home here at the coast! Most places these days have a Big Wall O' Vodka -- but these guys take the prize. Huge Wall O' Vodka with every brand, flavor, local, regional, import, hi-end, bottom of the barrel and all points in between... 9 different pepper flavors -- even a couple of the elusive Van Gogh vodkas. Absolute Chicago. Three Olives Marilyn. Pearl Coconut. All the 360s and Tito's and Dan Akroyds little skulls.... And premium tonic. And Demitri's Bloody Mary seasoning -- and cold Mr. & Mrs T's.... And an equally impressive Wall O' Craft Beer! I found the seasonal Kahlua Peppermint Mocha, and Pumpkin Spice Kahlua (heh heh -- party coffee!) And growlers! Did I mention a growler station to fill the fridge with fresh pulls? they have a pyramid of empties waiting to be filled, or bring your own! I keep forgetting I've moved to Main Street USA (right down from the Magic Kingdom) by moving here to the Oregon Coast. This place is made for people out to relax, have a feet-up holiday, and forget-the-cubicle weekend. It makes sense that a liquor store here would cater to those good times -- So fresh lemons and limes. Cold mixers. Mountains of Angry Orchard and Rogue. The back counter is full Full FULL of tiny bottles and half bottles and key-chain sized bottles of all the favorites.... AND the people are really friendly and helpful. They're here selling beach-combing, sandcastle-building, salmon fishing, clamming and BBQ-ing, whale watching, and kite-flying good times! What's not to love!?! read more

On Friday, 10/30 my friends, boyfriend, and I walked into the Liquor Outlet to buy alcohol for a beach weekend getaway. Unfortunately our group was immediately targeted based on the color of my friends skin. Andrew, who we found out is the store manager asked one of my friends to pull down his mask to see his face. They felt uncomfortable due to covid and Andrew was aggressive in asking for the mask to be removed. Andrew then pointed to our group and said, "the group come here and let me see your IDs!" Andrew was verbally aggressive and body language hostile behind the counter. Mind you, Andrew was wearing a neck gator which is not CDC compliant for covid. We all showed our ID's (we are all in our late 20's) and Andrew refused to serve us. He stated that one persons ID was, "not eligible," due to some bubbling on the ID. The ID very readable and they have not had an issue with ID being found not eligible at other places. No other cashier at the store was requiring costumers to pull down their masks or was met with the discrimination, that my friends experienced. We left the store and Andrew followed us out of the store. Andrew then put his hand on his hip, in a defensive stance. My friends asked other costumers who were leaving the Liquor Outlet if they were asked to remove their mask or ask for ID's. Other costumers reported, "we are regulars, we don't get checked." And, "they weren't asking anybody to pull down their mask." It was clear that this incident was racially motivated. Our other group of friends attempted to get alcohol from the Liquor Outlet right after this occurred and they were denied service due to, "belonging with the group." They were not asked for their ID's to be checked and were discriminated from buying alcohol from the store. This place is the worst, full of hate, racism, and discrimination and I would not recommend going there if you support BIPOC. read more

My experience was terrible here. The staff were very abrasive and confrontational over mask wearing. The vast majority of the people including employees were not properly wearing their masks but they chose to confront me because I don't pretend. Laws don't require them to refuse service just make it a "requirement". Next time I vacation in Lincoln City i will make sure I don't have to support them. read more

This was one of the nicest liquor stores I've ever been in. And I swear they had about 20 people working. Some were sampling new items, some were helping people look for a gift, others were stocking shelves and working the counter. I pretty much knew what I was getting so went right to the area I knew I would find it, but I overheard more than one employee educating customers on the various items for sale. They all sounded very knowledgeable and ready and eager to impart that knowledge on the would-be customer. There was a very, very large section of mixer including about 10-12 different versions and brands of Bloody Mary mix; 20-25 versions and brands of Margarita mix; and a ton of other mixers - both refrigerated and not. If someone couldn't find what they wanted here to get their drink on, well I just don't know what to tell them. read more

One of the nicer liquor stores I have been to. They have pretty much any thing you want! I also like how helpful they have been when I'm looking for certain items. The one thing I will have to mention is, I wish they would rinse your growlers when you get them refilled. We brought one in from Eugene and thankfully we already had rinsed it at home because they just went ahead and filled it. The places we go in Eugene rinse them out in front of you. No complaints on the beer. It was all fine and dandy. I was merely trying to bring a suggestion because I do like this place and will be back the next time I am in Lincoln City. read more

Open 11-7 M-W, 10-8 Th-Sat, 11-6 Sun. They have a large selection, great customer service, and they have beer and wine. Beer and wine? Yes, they are one of the few liquor stores in Oregon with beer and wine too. They have a large selection of bottled beers, and have a new growler fill station. Growler fills were $11.99-$14.99 for 64oz, with Boneyard's Suge Knight for $18.99, with a good selection. As with all liquor stores in Oregon prices are set by the OLCC and the same state wide, but they have a better than average selection of a lot of liquors, tastings, glassware and cigars, and are super friendly and helpful. read more

On vacation in Lincoln City brought some Padron 3000 sticks to smoke with me but no matches so I went to liquor outlet store and wanted to help local businesses ,picked up a 4 pack of some IPA for like 15 dollars ask for some matches casher said they do not give out matches unless you purchase a cigar but would sell me a Bic lighter so I purchased both around 18.00 bucks .But I do not like butane taste in my smoke .Then walked next door to IGA store they had better beer selection in a walk in beer cave and had matches for me nice employees too .Maybe next time read more
