Service was good, everything came out fast. The egg drop soup you get with almost every meal is really good. I like it!

One of the most embarrassing days of my life. 7/30/25 This was one of my favorite place to eat and order from in Sitka, Every time I would walk in the workers already knew what I wanted without even telling them what I would like to eat. They say " the usual " and bring me everything I normally order. I've been going to the place since 2023 when I first started working for Sitka Sound Seafoods. I take my girlfriend out to eat after work, we ate and was enjoying our time together, I get up to go pay and the lady tells me " you're total is $37 and something in change " ( she tells me the price but I forgot the cents ) so I gave her $40 in cash and told her " keep the change " she proceeds to tell me thank you have a good day. As my girlfriend and I are walking home one of the cooks or owner nearly hits us with their delivery car and gets out screaming " you didn't pay for your food go back and pay ". I keep calm and collective because I knew I did pay and I knew I wasn't in the wrong. As I walk back into Kenny's the first thing I tell the lady is " please check the cameras because I did pay for the food ", she begins screaming and yelling saying " YOU DIDNT PAY FOR THE FOOD I WOULD REMEMBER IF YOU GAVE ME THE CASH ". I proceed to tell her I did pay and reminded her I told her to also keep the change.then she states " your total was $55 and something in change " and I told her that was her mistake on her end and that drove her crazy. The man and lady begin screaming and yelling again that we didn't pay so I told them " give me back the $40 I gave you guys and I'll pay for the full price on my card ". The lady begins to yell " YOU DIDNT GIVE ME ANY MONEY AT ALL I WOULD REMEMBER ". As she's pasting back and forth not knowing what's going on around her. After that the guy tells me " you didn't pay it's our word against yours ". So be it than, they also proceed to say " we're going to call the police " and I said " good, I'll wait right here for them " after I said that, they said " a matter of fact we're gonna take it up to your boss " and I said " GOOD ILL CALL EM FOR YOU " as I did. And they kicked me out the restaurant in front of tons of people it was very embarrassing because I wasn't in the wrong. Around 10.30 at night the police and bill grant show up to my door and they get my girlfriend's story first, then mine. I will never return to this place, I was a loyal customer constantly going in supporting their business, but not anymore. The cop tells me " hey if you have to slide them an extra $20 for them to let it go then slide them that $20." But if ( Kenny's ) told the police I " ran out without paying a dime " why would they want only $20 and not the full amount don't make since right, I just turned 22 years old very young and humble, I kept my cool with them the whole time and I will continue on forward. Just a warning they have TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, they're very rude if your a first timer. Take this as a sign and AVOID eating here, or find out for yourself the hard way. I haven't heard from the police since, which I believe because they know I didn't dine and dash there's literally cameras at the pub to see if I " ran out " so yeah farewell Kenny's. read more

Worst, dirty menus and dirty table. Tourists and local trap because one the of few Asian food places in area . Yuck yuck yuck

If I could give them zero stars I would! The lady was incredibly rude to use and two other customers that came in. We were trying to extra nice and she just couldn't be bothered. we were the only people dining in and the others were pick up orders. read more

Outstanding place for lunch. Had the sweet and sour chicken. Great prices. My husband had the general Chou chicken. The dumpling were very good also. It's a little hard to find but worth the walk. read more

The chicken teriyaki is 2 stars and the service 4 stars. Chicken tastes pre-cooked, not grilled, very soft. Sauce is thick and overly sweet. Salad dressing has too much sugar and they give you twice as much as needed. The ladies are super sweet and attentive. Normally I'd prioritize service assuming food meets minimum bar. Unfortunately, I won't be back here. As a side note, it bothered me to see the cook eating from the stove / grill while making our food. read more

Never had a waitress yell "f*&= you" to me ever, especially in Sitka. A woman server was crabby, slammed down the bin to clean the table next to us.. and when it was time to take our order, she said, "I've had it!" loudly asking the other waitress to take our order. That lady was very nice apologized for the r the other... We had a good dinner and when it was time to pay, I had to pay the crabby one who immediately was annoyed because I had a gift card, which needed to be swiped instead in tap or insert. So when she was annoyed about it. I said, "maybe we shouldn't have come in" as she had been rude not only to us but people calling in phone orders. This escalated her. As I was leaving she yelled the profanity at me. People outside said they could hear her yelling profanity. The food was good. The other server was kind and apologized to us a few times throughout the meal for her rude coworker. read more

Good and bad experience here. Still again, cornstarchy soup, okay. Deep fried tempuras, okay. Stir fried everything, okay. That's Chinese food and who else is complaining about it? There's some issue that occurred a year or so about an employee either sabotaging the food or accidentally getting paper towel, band aids, and hair in our foods... It's a small restaurant. Give it a break, it happens. It's probably the only restaurant that has successfully been open the longest in town, place definitely gives you the feeling of as if you're in a little sketchy china town, that's what's kind of cool about it. read more

This used to be a great place to eat, now not even a good meal, the sweet and sour is so thin it doesn't stick to the chicken and barely any vegetables literally 1 pineapple piece, the fried rice used to be the best but now I don't even think they fry it anymore, that's half the flavor gone, the meat for the Mongolian beef must be the cheapest meat ever as it is just horrible and the chicken has a lot of fat on it and on top of that you have to ask for fortune cookies, that is just something that should be included with a Chinese meal. I just don't think I can eat there anymore as the food quality is just very low now. What a shame! read more

Kenny's is owned and run by a group that have Asian Palace and Tokyo in Sitka. Menus are similar as are the food and prices. It's dependable and inexpensive. Sushi, Chinese, Japanese (and Thai at Asian Palace). Standard fair but one highlight is actual Breaded Almond Chicken with chicken gravy - oddly it is rarely found in Alaskan Chinese places. Sure, it's not traditional Chinese but it is standard in the lower 48 - even if it is crap. LOL!! Their cream cheese crab wonton are good too. This is not gourmet food...this is deep fried stuff but the sauces and gravies are good and they do serve loose tea in a traditional pot. You will see a lot of fishermen here along with students and office workers. You can get a fantastic lunch special for $6.95 of soup, rice, choice of entree and pot stickers. read more

Recommended by the captain that is taking my guy fishing, this place was easy to find and enter. The host seated us quickly and was very pleasant, the food came out quickly but was of the poorest taste that we have had in Sitka. read more

The smell of a public bathroom tends to turn me off, walk into Kenny's and inhale through your nose, I'm sure you'll feel the same way. The entire place smells of sewage. I would describe the food as drunk food but they're not open late enough for it to be drunk food. Disgusting...My co-worker once opened her side of rice to find a dead fly in it. Tonight I asked for a substitution and they all laughed at me, yet abided. I headed home with my take out only to find they did not substitute peas for broccoli and also added chili paste to the dish, which was simple fried rice. I'm confused. I have worked in the service industry and understand annoying customers, and picky customers, but as a server I am always up to date on what the restaurant I'm working for will and will not do and I always tell a customer if their request can't be met.
