This is the worst business I have ever had the unfortunate experience of coming across. Their utter lack of morals and ethics is shocking. They told us our car needed a new transmission. Then, they were 'so kind' to offer to buy our car outright. I had a very bad feeling as to the way in which they first told us we would have to spend between $2500-$5000 for the transmission but they could 'help us out and buy our car' for $2000/cash. Luckily, we had the car checked at the dealership across the street before deciding how to proceed. The extremely professional and thorough dealership told us there were absolutely no issues requiring a new transmission!! Several reviews of this Ken's or rather con-shop, support the fact that they regularly over charge and take advantage of customers. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE unless you want to be conned. I have never written a review but felt it was necessary in order to protect the community from such poor service. My review was removed from their 'doctored' site. In addition, Ken's Car Care Centre questioned whether or not I had even used their service. This is extremely odd as a message had been left on my personal phone after the review was posted in which Ken described the timeline when we were at the business. My receipt for their initial inspection approximately $70, the receipt from AAA for towing my vehicle to the dealership, and the clear description on the work order from the dealership all confirm our experience. read more

Good repairs if you don't care about being way overcharged. They tried to charge me $240 to pick up a used part from a scrap yard and install it. Double the price if new. Being a poor college student I couldn't afford it. I went to the scrap yard myself and found the part for $30. It was easily installed and I saved about $210 (87.5% of the price they asked). There are other mechanics in town who are just as good and won't try to rip you off. read more
